      @@seanhovan7426The US has basically invented a ‘right’ to individual gun ownership via the 2nd amendment when it clearly refers to militias. Men are the main perpetrators of gun violence and homicide. Why? Because ‘someday’ someone might threaten you with violence or ‘someday’ people might want to overthrow the government? The number one cause of death of pregnant women is homicide, mainly by gun violence, mainly by their male significant others. Abortion before viability is 14 times less deadly than pregnancy to term and childbirth. But apparently women cannot decide to take that risk willingly? Women don’t have a right to control their own bodies in this sense? Look at how ‘stand your ground’ laws work for white men, not for women, even against men who have abused or graped them. Please spare me the hypocrisy.
      Most people do not equate an early pregnancy to a ‘baby’ or ‘child’ because it isn’t. When you pretend there’s a baby/child at the beginning of pregnancy you dismiss and disregard all the physical risk women who bring a pregnancy to term and childbirth assume. At the most basic, ‘murder’ is violating someone else’s bodily autonomy. An embryo/early fetus is not autonomous. Again, spare me the moral indignation.

As a mother she is another human being as without a child. She is carrying nine months the fruit of the night. Something grows. It grows into her life and never ever will disappear. She is a mother. She is and remains a mother even if the child dies, even if all her children die. Because she carried the child below her heart. And it never will get out of her heart. Not even it is dead. All of this a man doesn’t know, he knows nothing. He doesn’t know the difference between love and the time after love, bevor motherhood and after motherhood. He cannot know anything. The origins of the term Liberal traces back to the Latin word liber (meaning “free”), which is also the root of the word "liberty "("the quality or state of being free").
    Conservative:
    tending to preserve or protect, preservative, having the power to keep whole or safe," from Old French conservatif, from Medieval Latin conservativus, from Latin conservatus, past participle of conservare "to keep, preserve, keep intact, guard..
    In other words, to maintain and protect the status quo, and the establishment.
    Q: What is conservatism?
    A: Conservatism is the domination of society by an aristocracy.
    Q: What is wrong with conservatism?
    A: Conservatism is incompatible with democracy, liberty, prosperity, and civilization in general. It is a destructive system of inequality and prejudice that is founded on deception, and has no place in the modern world.

    If an abortion is truly “criminal”, isn’t the man who impregnated her technically responsible? He was the catalyst that provoked the circumstance. Like if an arsonist douses a house in gasoline, and lights a match - we do not blame the firefighters for extinguishing the fire, or the house for being made of wood. Culpability falls to the person who provoked the causal chain resulting in an untenable situation. Similarly, child support payments becomes the legal responsibility of the donor, otherwise undue burden would fall onto the mother because of her biology. We already normatively accept mothers bearing the exclusive consequences of human reproduction is discriminatory and unjust. So if there must be punitive measures, target the responsible parties - or else abandon the agenda.

    It is cynical that individual states should decide women's rights, overturning a previous federal ruling that all women across the country have the same rights.
    At the same time, these same justices argue that the determination of whether Trump has instigated an insurrection is not up to the individual states, but must be made at the federal level, even though those who enacted the law over 150 years ago knew that the exact opposite of the Supreme Court's ruling applied and that it would not be decided at the federal level. Otherwise they would have drafted it and specified which federal body was responsible for it.
    What a hypocritical bunch! Such a supreme court is an absolute disgrace and these judges should be ashamed that they do not have the backbone to make decisions that contradict their views but respect law and order!

    I understand that not everyone may share this perspective, but I firmly believe that the right to choose abortion must be safeguarded. Abortion is not just about protecting a woman's life, but also about sparing her from potential financial hardships that could make it challenging to raise a child. It is disheartening to witness the disregard for women's rights and the fundamental human right to autonomy over one's own body. I hope that individuals can approach this issue with empathy and understanding, acknowledging the emotional and practical struggles faced by mothers in these situations.

    • @khalifbrown9900
      @khalifbrown9900 Před 15 dny +2

      Many women who have had abortions go on to become mothers later in life. I have personally witnessed the emotional toll it can take on individuals, including my own mother, who felt deep sorrow after making that decision. Their concern was not solely for themselves, but for the well-being of their future children.
      While I respect the perspective of those who are pro-life and view abortion as a form of murder, I believe it is crucial to foster a deeper understanding of the complex emotions and circumstances that lead women to choose abortion. It is not about prioritizing the mother over the unborn child, but rather about acknowledging and empathizing with the challenges and reasons behind such a difficult decision.

      60% of people who receive an abortion in the US are already parents. And you’re right, many go on to have children in the future. A common reason for accessing abortion is the person just recently gave birth and needs more time to mentally, emotionally, physically, and/or financially recover before having another child.
