That's hilarious, only because 15-year-old Trey just made it up cuz there was no "intro" on the demo. (Don't think he imagined any throat-singing over the top of it at the time, but I could be wrong...)
The only song (other than covers) not off their latest album is the one they finish on ‘My ass is on fire’ off the debut album. I absolutely love California but this lineup is obviously far more equipped to play very heavy stuff which California has none of as that album seemed to take lots of the eccentric jazzy piano/horns elements as well as the zany electronically generated sound effects that featured on Disco Volante but they stripped all the metal stripped out of which gave it a far less manic and harsh feel. I think this lineup could play tracks of all the earlier albums but I’m pretty certain that as happy as Dave and Scott will be playing the odd very non metal cover and some of the older songs that feature heavy sections they definitely didn’t join the band to reinvent themselves as abstract avant-garde jazz musicians…it would be fun just to see them play one of my favourites ‘Carry stress in the jaw’ though 🤞😂

I wish I had done my research on what I was getting into with this show.

Ashes to ashes; dust to dust mites. Maybe Blink-182 will play a week in Toronto, eh? (Your bad)
When you consider the range of Patton, Spruence and Dunn, it is a great disappointment to witness them dumbing themselves down, for the metal community that have probably never listened to Disco Volante.

It is pretty sad to yawn through a set of thrash metal, coming from someone who both loves metal and has been a fan of Mr. Bungle for over twenty years. I wish I had done my research on what I was getting into with this show.
Is there an information blockade along your nether-border, chap? Are the bootleggers no longer carrying cryptic messages in the hindquarters of their sweat-soaked pantaloons? Bummer, dude. For how many countless fortnights I know not that Bungle hath bring mirth, lo, irony! from the earliest daze of their bulbous erections and guilt-filled secretions. Ashes to ashes; dust to dust mites. Maybe Blink-182 will play a week in Toronto, eh? (Your bad)
Exactly why this ”reunion” has been a complete let down
When you consider the range of Patton, Spruence and Dunn, it is a great disappointment to witness them dumbing themselves down, for the metal community that have probably never listened to Disco Volante.
Mike Patton loves hearing real cymbals behind him for once
They really should release a NEW album. Not some nostalgia re-release that is fat and lame. It's a sad day when the covers are the highlight of a bungle concert.
agreed, the covers are the only parts that sound like Mr Bungle
I don't need Society from DRI, love it.
