Bukhari gate made me realise the Quran perhaps isn't full of the clear lies in sectarian religion (and I've since seen the Quran is a book of logic). I agree that hadiths are good historical narratives but we shouldn't put it above the Quran . Unfortunately many Muslims do this without realizing.... thank you for welcoming many and helping to open their eyes Mufti saab

So much of “islamic” practice comes from Hadiths with less than questionable narration chains-Even the Hadiths regarded as Sahih were mostly verified by questionable means, ones that any scholar outside Islam would not hold as reliable.
I look at Hadiths as interesting historical artifacts, but not to be trusted-God authored the Quran, to say that God’s pen 🖊️ and his writing hand are not enough-Seems a slur against our maker.
We must trust that God has given us all we need to know, without delving into flawed men, even ones called companions.

Yes we are so glad, والله it is without a doubt the most important topic for us today, and only you could have done it, what you Mufti spoke in another episode about the 2nd coming, when you mention about not being in a group minhaj you can see things much more clearly, I have bounced around so many different groups since I became Muslims many years ago, I just wish you had a greater platform, I love you for Allah Mufti Abu Layth

I thank you a lot of bringing up the tradition of Ahlul Madinah. People are too reliant on Hadith for rulings without looking at the actual practices that has been done by the Sahabi and Tabi'in as they were mainly Ahlul Madinah themselves.

Im a maliki now do to the Aml Ahlul Madeena concept.
I used to have doubts about the deen bordering onto kufr.
That was because of some hadiths that didnt make sense to me.
But once I understood the Aml Ahlul Madeena I realised how sunnah should be understood.
In fact it beautified the sunnah for me personally.
Alhamdulillah been Maliki for a good couple of years now and even in the future if i change, my doubts are now gone and I full heartedly pray and i full heartedly believe and love the sunnah.
    Alhamdulillah.

@@richardanthony3267 ill answer your first as this is well known. because you have so little knowledge you end up having doubts precisely because of your lack of knowledge.
It isan ESTABLISHED FACT, that what you have stated as being "hadith" is not part of the hadith and Iman Bukhari made this clear. Ibn Hajjar even explains this. The hadith in Bukhari is split into two intentionally, one part that deals with the actual hadith, three second is an addition by the reporter or one of the reporters.
Why did you not look at what the commentators have said about why there is a split in the commentary by Bukhari?

@@redx11x obviously, but I think the brother is talking about the position Bukhari holds in the realm of the Umma today, it's actually a book that the Muslims will defend to the point of where they're basically saying that the prophet can be mistaken or commit acts that go against the fundamentals of what the Quran teaches, but Bukhari cannot be wrong, nobody is saying that the book itself doesn't contain hadith that are sahih, The problem is that amongst the general عوام المسلمين it retains a position that gets defended against the better of the teachings of Islam in its entirety, it will be hard for you to find a normal Muslim who can differentiate between الثارالصحابه و قول الرسول، I'm not against Hadith، and I do comprehend the difference between the saying of companions and the saying of the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم، unfortunately, the layman Muslim isn't as educated as you seem to be in regards to accessing the books of the شرح of the hadith, I understand but many do not, I think the main point that should be made is that bukhari should be subjected to the same critique of the اسناد as all the other hadith books,

I refer to hadith as analogous to "raw data" in statistics. From this raw data, a narrative has to be alembicated and extrapolated. The narrative thus extrapolated is "the sunnah." Those qualified to do said extrapolating are the madhahib.
