From my own experience of frost and filling up the inside of a camper van with water, can I advise on a few things? Use an anvil cutter on the ridgid plastic pipe (fantastic stuff) as craft knives can leave swarf that cuts into the O rings. Use the deluxe pipe inserts that have 2 0 rings. Did you clamp up the pipe joint collars a quarter turn? Isolate the elecric pump when you leave the boat. If possible, avoid Jubilee clips and barbed connectors on the pressure side. For me it was an expensive exercise in futility and near insanity. Use T clamps and after they fail; join the ridgid plastic pipe to the pump spigot directly using the bespoke JG (or other) ridgid plastic pipe coupler. If you don't have the correct spigot on your pump (I think I have the same model) then order them in - its well worth it. It will save you a lot of grief in the cold weather after your hands have been covered in mastic, epoxy, superglue etc. The JG spigots (A smooth spigot with an anular grove 1/2 way along?) are normally included with the pump along with the Devil's own barbed pipe spigots. I don't use Jubilee clips on any critical unattended pressuried water (or fuel) systems anymore . They were OK on systems that worked from an on-demand electrical switch but not on a system that is left under pressure. Sorry if this sounds a bit 'preachy'! Here endeth the sermon...
This requires a reread! 😂 So Jabsco are (probably to save costs) suggesting a flexible hose either side to reduce vibration. I will look for better clips as I was using secondhand clips just to get the video out! 🙄😂 I also rely on comments like this to set me straight so I’m pinning this comment and adding all of this to my to do list!😂 Thank you so much to spending the time to write all this down! I really appreciate this.
Pirate plumbing at its finest. You overcame the witchcraft of water. Archimedes approves your handiwork. As would Rube Goldberg. Or is this Buccaneer butchery? All you need now is a good reverse osmosis water filter unit in there to really ball things up--and for the water to be potable. What no adventure underway this week? Thanks for this Canice.
I cannot believe there isn't one drone shot in this whole video.... Hahahahaha,..... No.. Please don't!!! Don't fly indoors!!!!!! Nicely engineered there Canice. Love the pump regardless if its necessary its nifty. Thanks for the Vlog!!
I was right onboard for the first 20 seconds when you primed the pump. Then I sat open jawed and was lost until you started explaining what was going on at about 15 minutes. Although I still don’t understand plumbing, I at least recognized some words, calorifier, and accumulator, and was very proud of myself. Then you answered my big question. Why does Canice need a pump, and also another faucet with two faucet handles? Ahhhh….no electricity means you can still have a cup of water…..well after you clean the heck out of the tank. I am always amazed at the skills you have Canice. Good work!! Hope you had a good time polling 😊😂 🤗😊 Kathy
Hi Kathy, I was aware in the edit that I was not explaining what I was doing and I noted that I need to explain as I go, rather than a round up at the end! It’s not helped by it being a bit Heath Robinson!😂😂 The pump is faster at delivering water than the tap! And a lot more fun! It is really coming along. Unfortunately I’ve been very busy working lately so I’ve not done anything to Linda, but I am making money to get to the next phase… This week’s video is another race in the Netherlands!
@@canicebannon I had to look up the reference to Heath Robinson. Great comparison 😊 I am glad to hear that you are busy, even though it takes you away from Linda, but bringing in money is mas importante! Hopefully some acting 🎭. I am so excited that you did another race and can’t wait to see the video. Hopefully you dressed warm and dry. I am sure you loved every minute of it. Thanks Canice. 😊🤗 Kathy
Dear Canice, glad to see you again! About the quality of your drinking water: it's probably OK. Don't use any sterilizing goop, just keep the tank and the waterlines dark! If the water... also after two years, doesn't smell like algae, you can drink it! Look at the date on a bottle of mineral water. You can use it for over a year, without any sterilizing goop! I have been drinking for 20 years out of my 600-liter tank (also a polyethylene one) without any cleaning and without anything chemical. Don't worry...be brave. If it has gone in the tank as clear water, and it doesn't smell 'green´ it is still clear water...also after 2 years. I just started drinking the water from last season. No worries mate., don't be a wimp..drink it!
Let me tell you what happened. I saw white bits in the water and thought, oh my god what is this growing in the water…. However, I have since remembered that that I used a lot of Teflon paste when joining the tanks connectors and a lot of it squeezed into the the tank and it’s worked its way to the bottom of the system… So, no soon as I pumped water it came out and it’s perfectly safe. Now that I know what it is, I will just flush it out. Good to know about the algae the whole lot is in darkness. I currently drink out of a steel tank in Jorja with probably tons of sediment and rust at the bottom of it!😂😂😂😂
Hi Canice don't forget that you might have to repressurize the vessel otherwise the pump will start hunting , you can do this with a car tyre pump and Schrader valve gauge . Cheers
Aha! Things are beginning to look civilized! Your ceiling panels probably pre-date running water, and it's entirely possible that Linda hasn't ever had such luxury. I can just imagine the Captain saying: "Ye've gone soft I tells ye. My crew were so tough that we'd drink the sea water out of a rusty cup!"
This is so true! The water system in Linda would have been a hand pump if they had water. I know Chris Kabel only had a steel tank and an electric pump with no accumulator. So this is a step up for Linda.😂😂😂
I'd check that all the pipe and fittings in your drinking water supply are WRAS approved as undesirables such as plastizers may leachate out into your water. These plastizers are generally harmful if consumed. I speak as an analytical chemist who had several pesticide experiments invalidated by plastizers leaching from nylon sampling pipes.
A fine set of taps you have there. Congrats on the running water. Sadly for most people in the world, it's just a pipe [pun intended] dream. Greetings from Bali.
Crikey! Sophistication plus! You won't know yourself! Now you can heat water and take a daily shower rather that the traditional weekly pommie thing! Nice job!

Reverse osmosis! Way above my pay grade!😂😂😂
There is a major adventure in this week’s video! It’s nearly edited and everything! 🤣
That boat is really coming on Canice. 👏
Thank you Will! Filthy Thumbs!

Lots of sexy drone shots coming in the next video!😂😂😂
It is a day of great joy and accomplishment when you no longer have to haul water with a bucket. Congratulations!
Yes! No more drinking out of the toilet! 😂😂
Fantastic! The time to move permanently aboard Linda is getting closer! Job well done Canice.
Yes it is getting closer.

Your plumbing skills give me an insight to the workings of your mind. I think you must be a genius very good.
Well, what can I say. Great editing!😂😂😂
Have I told you I love that sink Canice !?? The tap and pump just finish it off ! Bloody gorgeous ! X
Not the toilet though!😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@canicebannon lol noooo ! Yuck 🤢 x
First of all. The music at the beginning is everything! I love a good brass ensemble. Huge congrats on the water, Candice!
Thanks Jane! I was pleased I found that song too!
Love the handpump 😊👍
The hand pump is amazing!
Can't wait to see the kitchen finished ^^
Neither can I! Shame I have to go out and work for money… it would have been done ages ago!😂
It's just occurred to me: Linda is exactly the boat Gru, Dr. Nefario and the minions would have built for themselves.
I know! Right!😂

So impressive Candice! Youe have got this. Your hard work is paying off, so pleased for
you 👍
Thanks Jan!
Nice to see you getting there water wise mate, keep up the good work love to you as always Alex and Maria
Thank you Alex And Maria! Still haven’t got the connector for the hand pump.🙄😂😂
Hi Canice don't forget that you might have to repressurize the vessel otherwise the pump will start hunting , you can do this with a car tyre pump and Schrader valve gauge . Cheers
Hi Ramsey, I will do that. I also have to find a way of accessing the valve in the future when install the cupboards!😂😂

All of it is, except for the plastic valve. I will change it for that reason. I don’t know what the plastic is or whether it’s approved by wras.

Way-hay! Nice pun! The taps are better than expected! 🤣
Two lovely taps and you are in the lap of luxury! Cool ;)
I’m still waiting to for a company to send me a silicone coupler for the hand pump… three weeks now…🙄
Coming along nicely. Thank you.
Thank you very much!😀
Great progress 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks Ray!
Positively homely! ❤
It’s starting to feel that way!
Really coming along! Keep up the good work.
Thank you Adam!

Hahaha Roger! It’ll be cold wet rag at the sink for me!😂😂😂
Oh dear Canice! You'll either get tough or die! Nice work!
Nice job on the plumbing after two years in the tank I would getting rid of it and throughly sterilise the tank but well done 😊😊
Hi Kevin, I’ll run load of water through it! Don’t worry. 😂
A lot of hard work, well done ✔
Thank you Keith!
It looks stunning. Running water! I can’t help wondering if Jorja is getting nervous.
Jorja is falling apart from neglect!😱😂
Congrats on the water supply. You should get a job creating road layouts in cities lol.
I had Birmingham’s spaghetti junction in mind!😂
So shiny ! 😀
But for how long!😂😂😂😂
Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink……
That’s exactly how I feel… 😂😂
Well now you're just spoilt!
I don’t know what to do with myself! 😂😂
The magician at work again and hard work🧠👏, thank you Canice for another great video
Thank YOU for watching!
nice job and another great video, thanks Canice !
Thank you so much!
