Nice mods. Awesome video 🤩👌🔥💯
Thanks for the visit. Fun making it.
Awesome video to go with that awesome HW setup. I honestly think this is the future of trail/crawling most kids don't want something that goes really really slow especially if they haven't got the right environment for crawling, 18mph max speed looks about perfect for that platform. Hopefully see some more rock racers released in the near future with IFS front suspension and solid rear
Yeah, it will grow the hobby to a wider audience as we get more versatile and capable cars like this.
two speed transmissions really help with this having a crawl gear and travel gear
That combo can open up.a.lot of rigs to crawling/bashing.
Yeah, the motor/esc from Hobbywing has a huge sweet spot!
Nice 👍🏻
Thanks for the visit
What a monster. 6s almost tempts you to speed😂
Hey great vid! Thanks. How many volts can the rlaarlo receiver take also the stock servos? Cant find those specs. Will they take the full 8.4v from the axe 3?
Yeah baby top 3
Much congrats
At $500 is got a lot going for it.
However, im pretty sure running 6s would be a mistake, unless you rather replace drivetrain parrs than actually drive it sensibly.
@ $500.00 they probably are using sintered gears meant for 3s maximum, not machine gears .
Yes, good comment as this is a great value for $500. It looks like 4S is the sweet spot for this vehicle with brushless.
I wonder what kind of berushes they used in the motor
I think I will wait for the Gladiator version. These 1/5 and 1/6 scale jeeps are too top heavy. I love my SCX6 but it is very top heavy and flips too much for my use. I think the Gladiator version would be better for crawling. You can also 3D print a holding case for an extra battery as well.
Good ideas. This is stable as you can see since the motor is so low and the 200g weights by each wheel really help.
exocaged made it seem like a brushed 4s esc would be a sweet spot. Think a HOBBYWING QUICRUN WP 10BL120 would be good for this rig?
Did you use the 1700kv or the 2000kv?
Drill motors are universal motors. That’s the motor type name.
Right on, thank you for that. This actually works well for crawling but the crazy drag rate is too much for this application.
What a beast it became! 😛😛😛 Nice!
Francis, I think I haven't seen you reviewing any Yikong or RGT rigs. They seem a good bang for the buck and some have interesting features and good value eletronics. Any reason why you've been passing this brands?
Greetings from Portugal! 🇵🇹 🙂
Thank you for the comment. Yes this RC Rady woke up with the hobbywing brushless motor.
I don’t review those other brands because they are not really available in the United States.
@@RCReviewChannel Oh, ok. I see. Thanks!
Did you ever see what the motor/esc temperatures got up to? Was wondering how well the 2000kv version would do on the stock gearing and if it would get hot. Thanks
So after a ton of rallying, using 4S batteries, I touch the motor and it wasn’t even hot. Part of it is because the gearing is very low on this vehicle.
@@RCReviewChannel nice, thanks for the reply! I ordered the 2000kv combo and can’t wait!!
Where is that first spot it looks amazing
Linda Vista Park.
That water spot is a Linda vista I need to explore more
The MAX10G2 esc also does fan cycling, also is a great esc, HW does it right. I still use the 7yr old stock esc and 550 motor in my TRX4 on 3s, for years and years..and years. I saw this vehicle run when you first got it, i would leave it. But that doesnt help the hobby i guess.
Great comment. Yes great products keep ticking box stock. But it is also fun to upgrade and improve performance to keep the RC interest alive.
@@RCReviewChannel i guess i did spend over $1000 upgrading my Yeti haha so im still contributing, your channel is awesome thanks for reply!
Nice body.. like it but cannot afford to buy
Parts????
A lot of parts are available on the companies website. But that really will be the only source for it. The good news is they are very good at consumer direct sales.
"Berushed motor"
good catch :)
Yep
Brushed is spelled wrong on the product…!?! No Thank you btw it’s only twice the speed as the 3s, not three times…
