Is he not popular? Of my group he is easily the most OP mage and can 1 hit these fat caits with any of his spells. Thats if the annoying things dont run first.
Cyrus packs a huge punch with so many potential weaknesses, especially if you sub-job him with cleric, dancer, or trader to add order, chaos, or wind to the mix, and access to better weapons. He's definitely got a permanent spot on my team.
As soon as possible, give to Cyrus Dancer class in order 1. to increase his magic attack, 2. To be able to equip dagger (there is one who, early in the game gives +188 magic attack) 3. To be able to hit with dark element and to dance Bonus : In a short talking of 2nd chapter of primrose Cyrus says to Primrose that he likes to dance even if he is quite Bad. Primrose promises to help him

My favorite is Ophilia, and I’m not really sure why. Seeing her first chapter made me feel like she has a lot of potential for character growth going from a sheltered life to journeying to protect the world and I want to see the outcome of that. My main will still be Cyrus cause he clicks more with me personally, but Ophilia’s the favorite!
I think it took me 50+ hours to finally beat that fat coward. It *always* got either the first or second turn and it would flee 99 times of 100. By the time I beat it, the rewards were pretty meaningless to me as I was high level, had plenty of job skills and crap-ton of cash since Tressa has been permanently in my active party. For something with such high defensive and evasive stats, giving it 80 HP feels ridiculous.
I've never even seen a Chubby Cait, let alone those giant turtles or sand worms from your other video. I need the full version ASAP, I'm close to 3h on my demo and don't want to start over xD... BTW: How did you break the Chubby Cait w/o finding a weakness? (Not in the video)
I literally just lucked out, first time deciding to try using prims dance ability for poops and hit giggles. She summoned a chubby, first time I had ever seen or heard of one by the way. Then a few turns later she destroyed everything with a summoned monster and I got 5k exp and 1000 job points....so of course I've been chasing that experience for the last hour....no luck. But still, that was a boost I wasn't planning for. Good game
A viable grinding strat is to setup two dancers along with two merchants, have the merchants hand out BP, and spam fully boosted bewildering dance. If you're lucky, you'll get Exp x 5 and JP x 5 before a cait shows up, and then you can drop it with a soulstone (or a boosted wind attack from your merchants) for like 10 levels.
Man, I don't have a clue as you can take 4 characters in a 3 hours demo, I only can take 3 of then in a game play. Well, Haanit is my favorite character, you can have all elementals attacks combine with archery skills. She has very strong personality, even if it's a little cliche.
You and I have polar opposite opinions on haanit. It's funny how things like that work out. I benched her all the way until the true ending when I actually was forced to bump her up to level 60 to survive and be an item slave for my fight.
The problem with Chubby Caits is getting lucky enough to have it not run in the very first turn of battle. It's gonna be hard to kill it before it can move, so you need to hope & pray it uses groom for at least one turn.
As a JRPG fans (since snes) this game is definitely worth to have, especially with hidden boss!!! I love Therion as characters, despite of his dry humour and messy hair, most people just skipping thievery skills at late game, but with Therion's unique abilities, it adds more fun team combinations in the game!!! An apple for an apple right Therion? :D
Yup and you really to take time to build up in 3-5 turns instead of just smashing And that is great. I could build up like 5-6 turns to turn my 8k (max 18k with 4 EP) damage Cyrus to a 60k damage powerbeast xD
The first time I got a chubby cait was on complete luck.I was xp farming with bewildering grace hoping to get xp boosts when all of a sudden one of the enemies became a chubby cait,and the character after Primrose (she spawned the chubby cait) was olberic who mind you had all of his BP filled,so I tried killing the extra thicc cait with Brand's thunder,but that idiot dodged it,even tho I had precision boosts active.I never found a chubby cait after,and I hope to get one as I'm still playing the game and haven't finished it.
Awesome that you actually killed it. I just want to know, how do you get the danger level to increase , mine is stuck at 11 , I've done all the chapters 1s so I'm unsure what else I need to do.
Right, the danger level rises according to the number of members of your party. Once you recruited the fourth member, even if you reduce the size of your team to 1 char (you can do that in taverns), the danger level in those areas will still stay 11. And as OhRichard has already mentioned, in between towns you will almost always find areas (especially caves) where the danger level is 15 or 20. There's much to be explored!
Just curious where'd you get the (L) soulstone? And how come primrose replenish 15SP after a turn? I'm also wondering why you didn't use cyrus skill to reveal its weaknesses?
You can find a thunder soulstone (L) in Rippletide by scrutinizing someone for a hidden item. Can't remember which NPC it was, but somewhere in "south east" Rippletide I think.
Primrose has an ability that let's her regain sp. I also had an sp regeneration item on her. Didn't need to reveal weakness because I knew it's weakneases we're the same of a normal Cait.
Why do you have so many debuffs on all the time? Lol was this like a mass Bewildering Grace thing til you got the thing that turns enemy into Chubby Cait?
I've seen 2. I did not know they existed the first time and it escaped. The next time a BP buff and then powered up lighting took care of things. This was way too far into the game though and the experience was not super helpful.
VanNoah I don’t know where they spawn but soul stones can be easily stolen from most people in almost every town. They’re really easy to come by and almost all of them have a 100% chance to be stolen.
It's still crazy to me how far people have taken this demo. My favorite octopath character is Ophelia. Her starting area, mixed with the love for healers make her my number 1. She is indeed "best girl"
H'aanit is best girl. She is sort of uh... really fucking broken right now XD. Just capture some high-level beasts and GG. She is also the most distinct out of all the characters we have seen. Her speech and playstyle overall is different from any playstyle in any RPG that I have played. I love how she is just a strong, independent woman looking for her father, was it? I don't remember but who cares! Also, the second best girl is Primrose because she is a cutie, and independent.
i picked primrose as my main, but i think i prefer ophilia because she just sounds so cute when shes using her attacks, make her a scholar and use fire storm you will have to love her.

He never put analyze on Cyrus: if you look at the abilities, he still doesn't have analyze.
CrazyDolphin Analyse is always on Cyrus, you can't take it off.

Have you tested Take Aim to see if it makes physical attacks at least have a decent chance at hitting?

it's not too easy, I love it, it wish it was a little longer, maybe a little more in depth, but in no way was I disappointed

Tom Hopkinson not much you can do until the full game comes out. There are a few areas inside the demo with a danger level of 15 and 20.

Just go grind to forest of purgue it appears randomly, like 1 time every 20 battles or more.
