I loved the curtains Jane- we are similar vintage! I still have and use for the guest bed - a Dorma Country Diary quilt set which is in such good condition after many years. Cost us a lot originally and we had matching curtains - now long gone. I love country style over boring shades of grey any day of the week! Loved the ferry trip too.

I went charity shopping with friends yesterday... very disappointing.... I find that the shops ( mainly animal charity ) are just piling stuff up nothing is clean or presented and mainly rubbish these days.... but still overpriced... my friend got one tie and a T shirt... Some areas have a better class of 'cast off' .. Cancer research and the heart foundation always present stuff nicely and the shops are clean... it makes such a difference... however , my friends gave me 3 tops ( labels on ) and a toastie machine (almost new) which she had been given , so I bought us all lunch ... and we went for a little drive and an ice cream in the lakes...needs must! 😅

Love tea pots but actually don’t drink tea so I no longer buy them….!
I drink tea all day but rarely make it in a pot. But I swear it tastes better when I do!
