Crikey.....I would have paid you to clean my bungalow, Jane, you are very thorough! 😂 Love this video ❤
I completely agree about those plug in air fresheners! Another great video! Thank you, Jane!
I'm going to try them both as I already make my own soap and body butters to avoid chemicals and save money 😊
I’d definitely recommend Nancys advice on washing laundry at 20 degrees. I noticed by electric bill was reduced by £20 this month 🎉
Great video again! I like using iron sponses.
Don’t forget to rinse the nozzle for the toilet magic bottle under the tap after use or the citric acid crystalises and clogs the spray
I didn’t think of this!
Fantastic episode 😊❤
Great video….going to try both of those
I have the green budget guide by Nancy, it’s a good read x I don’t buy my stuff for home made cleaning products.
I don’t use the sprays all the time, I tend to use the washing up water for our kitchen and a spray for our toilet as I have a hubby and 7 year old son 😂
I fancy reading her other books!
I’ve started using Smol for my laundry detergent comes in recyclable packaging and through the post I also use their fabric conditioner which lasts 4 months and the stain remover is also lasting around 4 months. I also have the washing up liquid and that lasts 6 months . Smol is worth checking out as they offer a starter kit to try out the products.X
Have tried them, but looking for a more frugal alternative.
Thanks for the great video! 😀 I love Nancy’s books and have found the cleaning recipes really good. My toilet was very stained with hard water so I emptied out all the water, sprayed with toilet magic and left it for a good hour or so. When I came back and scrubbed it, nearly all the staining had gone. I probably should have left it working for longer to get it all but you live and learn. Really pleased with the results.
I'm going to do that with ours, I think!
I'm still using a batch of laundry liquid I made last year from NB's book - works perfectly. I've got the green book, now going to try the cleaners you've made. I have the same problem with the commercial cleaners, it feels like my throat & lungs burn.
That’s what I’m making next!
Dawn and vinegar work great to break down lime and a pumice stone for the toilet will pull at the hard water rings😊
I have heard Dawn mentioned a lot. I think it is a US product? Not sure I have seen it here.
@ShoestringJane Yes, I think it is a US product. It is a blue colored dish soap. I'm sure that regular dish soap would work just as well. 😀
Morning I try and use eco as it uses 60% less water… our machine has broken so had to go out and buy a new one … the prices 👀 I got a middle of the road prices one and a smaller drum, I am trying to wear my clothes for a few days without washing and you know they don’t smell anything and I got a clothes spray to freshen up and hang up by a open window. I find washing all the time makes the clothes dull and wears them out more.
Eco cleaning is amazing but I have used eco products and they are so expensive and don’t tend to work as well xx
I have had mixed results with some ecoproducts, too! It's good to know you can make your own effective ones.
Interesting! I’m also on a campaign to reduce plastics in my life. I’ll have to research getting the ingredients here in the US. The only citric acid commonly in stores is 141gm for home canning. Not cheap! Soda crystals is a new one … maybe
I think you call soda crystals washing soda? Maybe Amazon or eBay for the citric acid
@@ShoestringJane washing soda! Thank you. That’s common and inexpensive
You must have the cleanest toilet in Essex 😊 x
😂
Why don’t you use up the viakal on the toilet to get rid of the limescale and then keep up the maintenance with the citric acid 😊
It’s almost gone now, but I am using up all the old products
Yes, I also hate using chemicals....I think Im nearly allergic to be honest...
You’re probably sensitive to them like me. They can’t be good for us!
How much boiled water for the toilet magic please Jane? Xx
Sorry, should have said! 150ml
