Speaking of left handers, an interesting video idea could be left handers who have won the US Open. It's only been done eight times: Mike McGrath (73), Paul Moser (76), Johnny Petraglia (77), Steve Cook (86), Mike Aulby (89), Mike Scroggins (09), Ryan Ciminelli (15) and Rhino Page (17). Speculation has always been the oil pattern is challenging to left handers.
i like to study bowling approach and form like the pros do it and this will help improve my own action as a left handed bowler, thnx. rhino page is very dynamic and fun to watch.
I personally find it more interesting nowadays when there are all 1 handers on a telecast. Hardly happens anymore, but can be enjoyable seeing lower rev guys on TV

@@bunker5696 Why are you claiming that I’m a two handed bowler? I’ve not mentioned that, nor am I for that matter, I just think his mindset behind it is irrational, he is clearly very bothered by them judging by his post. I, for one, am not in the slightest, being a one handed myself.
In the early '70s there was a tournament (in California maybe?) where the top 24 bowlers were all left-handed. At that time the lane oiling was done by the house and for whatever reason they rigged the shot so only lefties could score. It was because of this that the PBA started oiling the lanes for tournaments
It would be good to have some context in the video. How were lefties placing in the other tournaments that year? How many lefties were in top 10/20/50 in points that year? How many lefties were in top 50 points then vs. now? What did overall field of lefties average in that tournament vs. righties? Same for the full year and how about this year? Some of those things would have given more context to just how much of an anomaly this result was.

In the early 70s, 23 of 24 players in the match play finals were left handed. I believe the winner was Larry Lichstein

When Parker is lined up and throwing nice shots he can be pretty hard to beat but good game by Rhino

This has happened other times, not just this event. I know the 1997 ToC was 5 lefties; I’m pretty sure there were other times as well.

I think that was the tournament that Dick Weber and Nelson Burton Jr. started throwing back up balls...and got in trouble for it

85 to 90% of the world is right handed. Just goes to show how much easier it is to be a lefty bowler.
