After my Samsung Dryer fell apart and Samsung refused to even acknowledge their product was defective, I decided to tackle it myself. I went to the repair clinics site, found my dryer drum under my model number and ordered it. It arrived in great condition quickly and folowing this repair clinic video, I removed the old drum and installed the new one in less than 2 hours. I am now a fan of Repair Clinic. I highly recommend their business and their installation videos.

Thank you. Our model is years newer, but this video was still spot on. The only difference was that the control panel was a lot harder to pull off due to extra plastic clips in difficult-to-reach spots.
For reference, our issue was a shattered idler pulley wheel.

7 year old dryer stopped drying clothes. I'm marginally handy around the house. I viewed a few videos and figured out how to check the heating element with a meter and confirmed it was bad. With this video, and another by repairclinic.com I completely took apart my dryer at 9pm on a sunday. RepairClinic.com videos were super helpful. I decided to purchase the heating element from RepairClinic. It should arrive in 2 days and hopefully I'll be able to put everything back together. I took pictures so should be ok. Thanks so much. I feel very accomplished. Sure beats paying $300+ for a tech to come out and do it or, worse, paying $1000 for a new dryer.

I’d like to add one detail that I found out the hard way. After setting the drum in, when installing the belt, your arm presses right against the wires that go to the heating element. Mine pulled off and I didn’t notice, so I had to take it back apart just to plug the wires back on to the heating element. Thank you for the great video!

Brilliant tutorial video. It is well paced, correctly sequenced (complete disassembly followed by re-assembly), and camera angles and lighting is perfect. I have a different model Samsung dryer, but the steps and dryer construction are essentially the same. A pen dropped from the lint trap opening into the blower assembly. After removing the front panel, removing the blower cover revealed the plastic blower fan blades. The pen was underneath the blades, but simply rotating the drum popped the pen up into the blades allowing me to pull it out. Thanks for producing this. It made what have could have been an expensive service call into a simple 30 minute job.

Thank you for this video! It really helped me a lot! I have a slightly older model of this machine and for the most part everything was the same. My dryer stopped spinning over a week ago and noticed the drum was easy to spin so I had an idea that the belt snapped. Since I was going to be taking apart the machine to replace the belt anyway, I decided to also replace the pulley and the 4 wheels too. It wasn't that hard but it did take some time but I'm glad I also replaced the mentioned parts since the pulley and wheels and the rods the wheels where in were worn out . But in the end the dryer is working like new again.

The door switch wire clip won't come out for me. I've pulled with all my might. Is there something I'm doing wrong ?

This dryer has a steam drying feature. The water line is drawn from the washer cold water line using Y hose connector.

My dryer no longer heats and continues to spin unless the door is open. The timer stays in the same time also. Do you have suggestions?

    Hi Repair clinic
This really a fantastic video you have there. Thank you. We just bought the samsung DV80F5E5HGW dryer and trying to connect the drain hose with the 2 m long black hose that came with the dryer exactly like it says in the manual, but it won't work. The dryer stops drying and shows a red sign on the screen that he cannot get rid of the water. I connected then back again just like it was in the beginning to ensure then that the water would flow into the water-shelf but that now doesn't work either. Have you had this before. do I need to do sth else?

    Hi Repair Clinic,
My Samsung drier wont start. I probably messed it up; the other day, I was emptying it and inorder to reach out to some clothes I was rotating the drum and by accident rotated it anticlockwise. This is when it caused a clank sound. The drier was turned off all through this. Subsequently, the drier would not start. Could you please suggest what could have gone wrong? Do you think the door switch was damaged? What is that 'clank' sound due to?
Your video guides me how to access each part in the drier, but I need to know which part is gone bad, so I can place order and replace.
I would sincerely appreciate your help.
    Thanks. Raj

+Raj K it is hard to say, but testing the door switch is a good start. Also, some models have a broken belt switch so perhaps the belt came off the pulley.

The belt might have come off the idler pulley or the spring came off when you rotated the drum opposite way.
