    Thanks for the review, but you should do some more research on HRV. Pretty much all of Whoop's data revolves around your HRV. It's not how fast your heart can go from low to high, it's the amount of variability between beats. Your heart doesn't beat like a metronome. Time between beats is always different. A higher amount of variability between beats indicates a healthier, well-recovered, more resilient body.

    Play one shot at a time. Think about one shot at a time. Develop routines for everything like exactly two full practice swings before each stroke; visualize the slope of the whole green when walking up to the green; pacing of distances (if not riding a cart;) club selection; setup positions of ball in stance and in tee box; and determining angles and distances into the greens. Enjoy the scenery. Golf is suppose to destress, as it is tough enough to take the mind of the problems of real life. If there is too much time waiting on the tee for the group in front to move out, practice swinging without the ball like in Hogan's book will develop better swinging of the clubhead. Heartrate should not be too high unless playing in extreme weather, and fast waling on very hilly courses. Get physical checkups with doctor periodically. Relax between shots. Play one shot at a time. Learn golf science if technically inclined to know exactly what produces a good shot, and taking any doubts, guessing, and uncertainties out of play.

    Samsung Galaxy Fit does the same thing. Reports on heart rate, sleep patterns, etc... And I'm not stuck in a 6 month contract. Doesn't work for me.

    • @danielr3921
      @danielr3921 Před 4 lety +3

      with all do respect it's not at all the same thing. I have a galaxy watch and a whoop 3.0 smart watches/fitness bands can not measure your HRV which is the main differentiating factor. They can tell you your average heart rate and track your sleep and automatically track activities but they can't give you objective recovery data, daily strain and the variability of your heart rate which is how you can tell if you're actually improving over time. For me it's n more than worth it. Yes it's expensive over time but just taking out my daily coffee or the occasional tim hortons/mcdonalds snack covers the cost and gives me data to improve my health far beyond what a fitness band or smart watch does.

    Does Whoop know when you are working out or playing golf? Or do you have to enter into your Whoop app, “I am starting golf now”?

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  Před 3 lety +1

      both. you can start an activity in the app, or input it afterwards. But over time, it identifies trends or patterns in your HR and will store identify an activity intuitively based on what you have done in the past

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  Před 4 lety +2

      The PGA Tour has always been the goal, but things have changed and evolved over time and it might not be a possibility anymore. A PGA Pro as you ask, would that mean a club pro? I've been a professional golfer for 10 years and have played tours all over North and South America. If I were to stop competing, I wouldn't got the club pro direction, I would try to stay in golf through CZcams or coaching

    I've been looking at this since May. I just can't get pass all the negative feedback in the Apple store and on their Facebook site. It seems like the company is largely absent. I also don't like that they don't answer their phones. People are reporting days and weeks for responses to emails. Customer care is a vital part of a business like this and they seem to get an F in that department. Their excuse seems to be an overwhelming response to the whoop 3.0. It seems if sales are up then they could hire more people. Something just seems off with this company.

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  Před 4 lety

      They’ve sorted a lot of that on the podcast in recent weeks. Personally, I haven’t had any issues with the product or customer service.
      Reviews are great, but nothing beats your own personal experience to form a proper opinion. If I went off the rough patch they had prior to rolling out 3.0, I wouldn’t be experiencing the amazing gains from taking the plunge into joining. Just my two cents 🤷🏼‍♂️

    The only thing to understand about WHOOP is that it cost $30 a month. That’s almost an Apple Watch every year for this subscription. And the customer service SUCKS. Not even kidding.
