GAS COMP32XTREME är en bas lik ingen annan. I remember using think it was 32" hertz sub over 20 years ago. Back of a panelvan with 4 10" aswell. Would love to see what a 32 can do now with today's technology...

that one woofer = 3 of his 18's, steve meade unboxed one from b2 audio, they are made in china.
For a competition sub, it sure is lacking in the cooling department. If I were to get a 32" sub, it would be a Deaf Bonce. I got a demo from Cyclops a couple years ago at the Meca World finals and it was amazing...
I see this old but thought you should know this sub is built by the same company that built the deaf bonce 32" and the 32" cosmo just look at them , the basket and all are exact same. There's a handful of these and they seem to be made by all the same parts.

Vad är bäst i en epa? Jag köpte en gas pro 12D2, och ska bygga baslådan, vad borde jag ha? Sluten eller basreflex? Vad är bäst för att dunka plåt? (ger högst dB och vibrerar mest)

Skulle rekommendera portad låda, alltså basreflex. 55liter netto, med en 140cm2 slotsport, alternativt en 4'' Aeroport.

Känsliget är normalt angiven som SPL @ 2,83 V. Inte vid 1W. Det är också viktigt att speca om det är mätt med spolarna parallellkopplade eller i serie.
Har då sett @1W mer än @2,83 V. Nu är dock båda värdena samma om elementet är 8 ohm så det spelar ingen roll. Vid 4 ohm är det istället 1,415 V och vid 16 ohm 5,66 V så det blir väldigt rörigt så @1W är lättare att använda.

To me it seems a driver that large and heavy would prefer to be "facing" up so that gravity is not trying to tear it out of the box. That must be a lot of stress on it to be in that "erect" position as shown in this video while it is sounding.

I researched the world’s largest speaker and found one that started as a joke. It stated that it was 80 feet in diameter but looking at the picture I think it’s 80 inches, is this correct if anyone knows what the world’s largest speaker is?

You know, we had this with us in a Mercedes Vito to a well-known car convention here in Sweden. We put a bench in the back of the car (with the subwoofer behind you), close the doors and after that - we play some bass heavy music. Right on the convention floor. For around 10 seconds or so. I love how their brand is based in another country, their logo stands for great american sound, and all of their car audio is in English (Caution/Gas Car audio competition). Not hating or talking crap, but it's kinda funny that gas stands for great american sound but they are not based in America.

En högtalare ger inte effekt, den tar emot effekt. Men, absolut, ett slutsteg som driver en så stor högtalare fullt ut ger ut en otroligt effekt. Det krävs rejält med batterier och en grym generator!

Detta är en subwoofer som behöver upplevas! Vi har försökt fånga hur element låter, men det krävs att den som tittar på videon har bättre högtalare än elementet som spelas. Bas är nästan omöjligt att fånga. Men tack för bra feedback, den tar vi med oss vidare.

Для такой массы нужен магнит размером с 12...15 дюймов. Чтоб хоть как то быть похожим н динамик. А это скорее резанатор, давить будет только на резанансе собственных колебаний, которые будут в зависимости от объема ящика. А не от настройки яшика-фи.

If it had a neodymium magnet, they could have saved some weight :p
I think you want more weight when you are trying to move that much air. In fact it may help to clamp more iron plates on as dampening mass. Why use 5000 cell phone speakers worth of neodymium to save weight when you would then need more dampening mass and bracing anyway? Good idea for low profile subs in passenger cars, but this speaker won't fill that role.
