Learning the Barrel Roll

The barrel roll is an aerobatic maneuver that I found challenging to learn but very rewarding to fly once I started to feel comfortable with it. After a lot of excellent instruction at Aviation MH Inc. and lots of practice under supervision, I was starting to get the hang of flying the barrel roll in the Citabria and in this video I break down what I am doing and explain the basic parameters that I am looking for to complete the maneuver as a new student aerobatic pilot.
Make sure you get instruction from a well qualified pilot before trying to fly aerobatics yourself. It's very rewarding a fantastic challenge and a great way to improve your overall flying skills and proficiency.
