      @@user-og2gn8jk3g we have one school in Douala. But for my advise if you’ve the cash you can do it in Addis Ababa an Ethiopian aviation academy. You can search the school online to get more information. It’s a very reputation school

      This days the security both police and airport security unit. Allow just those traveling and staffs and people with airport related issues to get in.
      That is the funniest things about DLA airport. No waiting place inside for people to wait their loves ones

    I an new here and thus is because today a family friend was scammed at the Yde airport.
    He arrived, someone just rushed, asked to help him with his things n help him stamp his passport, wanders, that was yesterday till now the who collected his passport is no where to be found.

    I have a query about restrictions on food stuff. What kind of "food stuff" is not allowed? can i carry "food stuff" in check-in luggage for personal use while arriving to Douala?

      Not just at Douala intentional airport. Food stuffs an liquors /liquids more than 100ml are not authorized In carry on bags for security reasons.

    The DLA airport at some point is a mess. The first hall no air conditioning 🤦🏾‍♀️ Once you enter the gate towards the stairs, there is a police officer or Gerndam sitted there. NOTE once you reach there only the traveller is allowed in not even your spouse 😑😑.
    U pass the screening security and go to those counters and pay 6k with you carry but food or cloths . You kilos will be weighed and packed with plastic there if you need it and it cost ABT 5k per Bag. To cut these short. Before you finally go for boarding:Make sure you handlugage and Ur backpack or handbag are alltogether 8kilo ( they're always looking for means to ask for STH) that's after you've checkt in Ur 23 kilos oh.

      @@AviationInfo120 not necessarily midnight. Those flights leave in the evening too. General the DLA Airport needs some upgrades in standard. Atleast let them leave the traveller with 1person(accompany) to enter the airport.

      Be more specific. There’s no minimum. It depend if you’re a business class passenger, frequent travel ( gold, Diamond, platinum, black status etc ) so be more specific I will answer an whjch airline

    the truth simply, after the first passport control where they put the exit stamp, the second police control (10'13'') is the one where they check if you are banned from leaving the territory and if you are on the interpol wanted list.....

      The customs inspect travelers bags if you carry food stuffs then you’ll have to declare them by paying . It’s a mandatory requirement also some countries like US. you show prove of the food stuffs you carry upon arrival by presenting the declaration note

      Yellow fever card is 13000. An you’ll be vaccinated if you’ve never taken the vaccine
      if spices are in a somuch quantity you’ll need to declare it. Some destination countries require the declaration paper else they’ll destroy your things

    The airport is an embarrassment. The departure halls each have just two toilets (one male, one female) to cater for up to 250 passengers. On arrival you don't have access to toilet facilities till after immigration control.

    Just a question one of my friend was traveling from Douala Airport to Manila Philippines on the 12th oh July 2023 upon checking in he was asked to pay a sum of 1000,000 francs if not he wouldn't be allowed to board he was told by the Ethiopian Airlines customer service team upon checking in at the airport. Why do they charge a caution fees when my friend had all the travel documents such as Yellow fever vaccination certificate, covid pass, his proof of accommodation in the Philippines and all necessary requirements. It is bit strange first time I have seen a country charging caution fees even when Philippines is visa free to Cameroon nationals. My friend had to pay that sum of 1000,000 francs because he had no other options. Can someone please explain to me why does your country charge caution fees. The Ethiopian Airlines desk told thats part of Cameroon law when departing. Its strange if people pay that sum what will they have during their vacation its really unfair with your countries law. First time in my life I have heard about a caution fees to be paid at a airport.

      @@AviationInfo120 The Ethiopian Airlines informed my friend that it is part of the Cameroon government to charge a caution fees of 1000,000 francs to travelers traveling to Manila from Douala Airport because I tried to get in touch with the airport authorities in Douala but they don't speak to me in English it's very difficult.If people have to pay that large amount of deposit what will they have when they arrive in Philippines to spend on their vacation. It is the first country in the world I have heard is charging its citizens 1000,000 francs which is equivalent to 16000usd.

      @@AviationInfo120 He was asked to pay at the check in counter of the Ethiopian Airlines in Douala Airport as it was a legal law of Cameroon Government. Yes the receipt showed he had some missing documents that's why they charged that sum but my friend had all the documents such as the covid vaccination pass,yellow fever vaccine, the return ticket, the hotel reservation receipt in Philippines everything but still he was charged that large amount. I'm really stressed out because I'm planning to invite one more friend from Douala to come visit during Christmas period but again I'm afraid if they would ask to pay that same amount again which is really unfair. Could you please let me know what documents are needed to travel from Douala to Manila because we watched your video and your explanation was very good and he did follow what you have mentioned in the video.

      But from every indication it was fraud and as you said they showed him what documents he needed.
      I will do an inquiry at Ethiopian Airways office an let you know my finding.
      Or maybe your friend isn’t telling you the truth also.
