    In this video we show step-by-step installation of VLine VL2 Infotainment and navigation system into 2011 Cadillac CTC. The GM1CVL2 model of VLine system is compatible with the following Cadillac vehicles:
    Cadillac CTS/CTS V 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 (Mylink 7-inch screen)
    When the VLine system is connected to the factory stereo in a compatible Cadillac, it adds CarPlay, Android Auto, and an embedded Android interface to the existing factory car stereo.

    Just picked up 2011 cts coupe And first thing I thought was man if only it had car play and one CZcams search later I’m here this looks way easier then I thought

    Hi Grom team, Just finished the install in my 2012 Buick Regal GS using your GM vline kit. Works Great, I will keep you guys posted if I find any bugs. But looks like you could advertise it for these cars. Almost bought the Navtools kit instead, since your website does not mark the Regal as compatible.

      @@markbones1921 Hi Mark, I have not had any problems with the wireless android auto working in my car also wireless apple carplay works. Only thing I have notice is that the reception sometimes degrades or drops out when I am driving next to a semi truck with a trailer if I stay at a its side. But please note that I installed the vline box in the passenger kick panel so that might have something to do. I plan on relocating it closer to the glove box to see if it fixes the issue.     You guys need to make something for the Chevrolet SS Sedan. 2014-2017.
    Nobody makes anything nor our 22k and something cars that's only in the USA.
    In Australia where this car is made there are alot of companies. They say UT all works with the US versions but they do not fully work.
    So we need something please.
    Already have a bad ass screen just need the right OS.

      You will plug the 3.5 mm audio jack that is now available on the power interface cable MCFGMLC to the mic port on the VLine.

    Does mounting in the glove box require any drilling to route the wires, screwing the box into place, etc?

      It depends on your particular vehicle. On some vehicles there is already the space that allows you to get the cables to the glove box, on the others the drilling a hole is needed.

    Hi I’m assuming this should work on a 2010, but what happens after everything is put back into place? Where do the wires and the box go?

      Hi, usually the wires are routed to the glove box, and the unit is being positioned there.

      @@damianoverrillo1599 technically you can, however we recommend installing the unit in the accessible location, so you can access to the units ports and connectors. This way you can update it if needed. Some installers install the units below the glove box, or on the side of the center pillar, so it is not visible from the outside.

    Thank you so much for doing this video. Is it normal for the unit to generate so much heat. I worry because it’s installed in the glove box per instructions where there is no air flow.

      I have not installed this yet or have experience with it, but I have installed aftermarket headunits and stuff before and they do get pretty hot because they usually have a shitty heatsink so I don’t believe that is abnormal but if it gets really hot it could overheat and not work until it cools down

      @@exi9164 Thank you, haven’t had to many issues. It gets a little glitchy when it’s update time or just needs a reboot. Other than that I love it.

    My CTS doesn’t have the Nav Screen, what extra stuff would I need to do to make this kit work?

      Unfortunately you will need to replace the stereo. VLine VL2 system requires the MyLink 7-inch stereo.

    My CTS doesn't have the Nav screen or head unit. Could you get those pieces and use this kit to basically get this whole setup?

      Yes if you will replace the stereo to the compatible model, and add VLine to it, it will work.

    As part of the vbox installation omitted, where did you wire the mic and gps on the cadillac cts?

      The mic usually goes near the sun visor, and the GPS antenna is usually mounted in the center below the plastic panel if the space allows, or on the top of the dashboard, in the right corner, as long as it is not obstructed by the metal.

      The blue cables matter! Please follow to our install guide when installing GROM product.
      The video cable GVMF should connect at the back of the display, and not the stereo. Please double-check on that!

    I just installed everything last night and can’t get the AUX to light up on my factory screen to get to it. When I installed everything I used every connection into the back of the factory radio was I supposed to leave anything unplugged? Any help would be appreciated because I can’t get through to anyone on your site to try to sort this out.

      We do not have such specific video. However you can always exit out of the VLine mode/ Android Auto mode and use FM radio or any other OEM function of the stereo. Backup camera will also keep working.
      Please note that you can't be in FM radio and Android Auto mode of your stereo at the same time, as the stereo can't technically be in two modes at the same time.

    Just inquiry as know GM parts work with Saab 9-5 ng 2010 to 2012. 8 inch screen wondering if can confirm if this option available. Litteraly 100s if not 1000s on Saab 9-5 ng owner groups would be very interested to know.

    Just ordered this today for my 12’ CTS Coupe. Got a couple of questions. Do I have to use the gps antenna if I’m using my iPhone’s hotspot and gps apps through my phone? And do I have to install the mic? my car has a factory mic. Thanks

      1. We recommend using VLine GPS as it will enhance the iPhone's GPS signal and help to preserve the iPhone's battery.

    can you elaborate on the Vline box install. I think you skipped over the wiring and mounting at 12:10

      You need to lead the wires inside the glove box, and secure the VLine main module in the glove box. There is usually a hole available where you can run the wires through. Or you will need to drill the hole.

      For Cadillac CTS 2008-2015 the most important is to have the MyLink 7-inch screen. If the stereo has MyLink 7-inch screen, it is compatible.

      I just installed it yesterday and I noticed annoying flickering in factory screen during logo loading up, and while navigating through the original factory screen and while viewing the rear backup camera. But no flicker when using the vline v2 screen or when using the factory gps! All wires and harnesses where connected perfectly and we make sure that all wires ran smoothly with hard bent. Your help is needed.
