Just mesmerising to watch
Awesome video
I really liked your speakers and I decided to make those same but on my own moner! Thanks for the idea. If you are interested, send a contact to where to drop the photos))
That's great! Erikdidit @instagram.
Very nice build again, Erik, congrats! :) 3Qs please:
- what was the wood polisher you used to make the front element so nice?
- what kind of crossover did you use?
- how satisfied you are with the amp, being relatively cheap, does it serve well?
Thank you for your answers.
Thank you! Sorry for the delay.
I used a lacquer as finish. I just wiped it on with a rag.
I don´t have a crossover yet. I am still waiting for the parts to be delivered. But for the first time I have designed the crossover myself. I have tried two different amps rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_id=114&ipn=icep&toolid=20004&campid=5338202711&mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F2-x-120W-Wireless-Digital-Receiver-Audio-Amp-Amplifier-Board-TPA3116D2%2F352208934685%3Fepid%3D28009458072%26hash%3Ditem520149d71d%3Ag%3Aqb8AAOSw8UZaCaSc and rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_id=114&ipn=icep&toolid=20004&campid=5338202711&mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FTDA7492P-AUX-50W-2-Wireless-Bluetooth-4-0-Audio-Receiver-Digital-Amplifier-Board%2F222709946991%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%253AMEBIDX%253AIT%26_trksid%3Dp2057872.m2749.l2649 both work well but they need to be grounded properly to reduce static noise.
I used Jeff Bagbys crossover design software to design the crossover, just google it. Check out 123Toid here on CZcams for a good tutorial on how to use the program.
They look great! Now for the components, do you always use the same brand? Have you tried something more premium like Bose/Harmon kardon/infinity? Essentially it’s a auto speaker kind of supply.... no?
I can't believe that you just press fit the tweeters in like that. Also I didn't see any sound fill added. Other wise they are great looking speakers.
Those tweeters are ment to be press fitted. I seal with caulk from the inside. I added some sound fill but they are calculated with a small amount of sound fill.
Second!!! Very nice!
Awesome
those are some beautiful speakers!! are tweeter and midbass driver in parallel? very curious :)
Thank you! Yes, wired in parallel.
thanks for your quick response! i always wondered if there was some circuit required between the two
First and liked
