If you're here to slag off his playing and say "it's nothing special" then great... I really don't care. It's not always about how fast or technical you can play... the emotion Noel puts into his solo's is what does it for me. Great music doesn't have to be challenging.

if you're gonna listen to this and criticize his technical skill and speed... then you're missing the whole point of musicianship. It's not about how fast a guy can shred , it's about feeling , serving the song .....and he's got it. Great solo

Even he admits he's only average as a technical guitarist. But he's got an uncanny sense of melody and rhythm to put these wicked solos together out of solid riffs instead of speed.

Stunning solo, Noel is top class, no fancy sweeps or arpeggios just clean, simple good music with no distractions, top class, if anyone can tab this, please let me know.
Its one of those solos you will have done in your bedroom practising to some blues scale beat without even realising it.
Thats what makes it appealing and special we can relate l, kinda how shredding goes over my head as i cant do it.

Noel is a pretty good guitarist and a bit underrated too. This solo is a very expressive one
Really melodic, great timing and fantastic sound. Simple. Love solos where you can hum the tune rather than someone just showing off how fast they are. Noel admits he's not a great guitarist but he always adds value to the songs. And he's a better songwriter than any show off guitarist.

I've heard so many people talk about what such and such can do on a guitar, but these guitar elite can't sell many records, it's guys like Kurt Cobain, Angus Young, Noel Gallagher who kicked ass in record sales, Steve Vai still nicks money from his mothers purse, that's how much the masses went for his music, fucking Poison? Gimme a break! Anyone can learn to play, only an artist can deliver what people want to hear despite his limitations.

I think with Oasis' music I feel it in my blood and guts as well as mentally when listening and playing their music.
I love Oasis to the point where I believe that each song is my own. I just have a certain connection with their music which i don't have with other groups.

Noel Gallagher uses phrasing. He's not a fast player. He likes repeating guitar phrases and creating screaming melodies. I'm not sure if he's capable the high intensity soloing of someone like Jimmy Page, but he's still talented. His play style has been an inspiration to me as a guitarist.

Thomas Clark Love Noel's playing but to suggest ALL Page did was easy blues links is to seriously underestimate one of the greatest rock guitarists ever. Noel has a nice ear for melody but as a guitarist Page would have wiped the floor with him in his day. Respect to both in their individual fields.

My god, ive loved Oasis since 94 lol and this is the first time ive seen this ending solo to Champagne Supernova. Absolutley epic when they switch to double time, imagine being in that crownd man. Truly the best Champagne Supernova ending ive heard!

The true king of melody. From vocals to anything he plays on guitar, no one better! You can talk all day about how fast you can play, but every note Noel plays touches your soul!

At 5:20 you could see most of the pedals Noel's is using. Interesting. He didn't use a ton of effects back then, opposite to what most people does today. This particular combination of overdrive? and delay sounded great.
This solo is incredible! I heard a clip of it and had to find the whole thing!

I’ve never seen this at a Noel gig nor a Liam gig. It’s what happens when chemistry and the stars align and playing becomes like a crazy trance you go into with your audience and the universe plays through you. They’re both incredibly talented but without each other they both lack this quality but when you put these two guys in the same space they bring out real magic in each other. We have all these great moments already so more than anything I just hope they are mates again for their mom. You already gave us great tunes guys, look after Peggy!

I added this to my standard CZcams "Favourites" 12 years ago and I can't even tell you how many times i've listened to it over that period, or added it to other playlists. That tempo shift at the 2:07 mark is insane and just carries on the whole way through. Never played guitar in my life but jeez I wish I had

At the end of the day, who is the more successful guitarist? Noel Gallagher or the 40 year old metalhead bashing away at his keyboard in his parents basement?
What metal guitarists don't seem to realise is that you have to be as technically "good" as the music you're writing is. This idea gets lost with all these delusional people thinking they can make it just because they can play a legato scale or sweep pick. It's not about that.
This doesn't stop you from making quality music though.
My point is that your guitar playing should serve the music you're making. Brian May once said "If it doesn't sound good then you're wasting your time."

As a guitarist, I know some of the best solos are the simplest, it's about the feeling not the technical abilities or technique.there is no such thing as perfect notes to play, it just happens in the moment.👏✌️
What an amazing solo with the rest of the band, so much going on here....all you can do is listen. Its funny watching Liam strolling around like an old fella tapping his tamborine, its great he stood aside this time to let his brother have the spotlight.
