I went to this concert on the first night and was so blown away by this version of supernova that I went back the next night, overpaid a tout for a ticket and watched it all again just so I could experience Noel's solo a second time. Fucking incredible.
The most unsung member of this band was Alan White, the drummer. He drove these songs with an awesome beat, yet you can hear the finesse that he was capable of exhibiting. When he was on, this band fucking smoked.
The most underrated drummer ever in my opinion. Some of the ghost notes this guy can play on regular drum beats. And don't even get me started on his insane fills.

But that 5 minute outro of Champagne Supernova must rank as the best outro ever. At the time and to this day.it still blows me away. It will be played at my funeral.

Liam may not be the greatest technical guitarist around (he readily admits it) but he's got a fantastic talent for building solos out of melodic phrases and riffs. This is one of his best.

I thought Earls Court 95 was good. Then I thought Maine Road 96 2nd night was good. Then I found this fuck me. Noels guitar playing is at its best here. The extension solo where he just goes off his head is the best version I've seen so far. Not too many unison bends, not too many double stops
Don't get me wrong, liams vocal is right up there but i actually prefer his vocal which he does now solo,hes defo overall as a singer and front man,,luv him,,xx
