- Using Body Horror in Pathfinder 1E
#Pathfinder1E # dnd #guide
Today D6Damage is getting into the gory details of how to bring body horror to your next Pathfinder 1E game. I will be explaining the ins and outs of the corruption system, body horror items, hazards, and discussing monsters like: sinspawn, fleshwarped, and kytons that will be sure to be a scream for your players on table top RPG night.

a small form of bodyhorror i used in a game a few years ago with a dragon disciple, was how thier bloodline manifested, loss of teeth as new bite attack grew in, growths under the skin as scales would begin to pop out, same for wings. bleeding from the nose and a slow crawling change in alignment from CG to CE due to red dragon bloodline :3 in addition to that, the very first time the RDD form of dragon was attained, i used inspiration from parasite eves rat transformation cutscene to show what me sorcerer had happen to em, fighting one of the other players right after in a small bit of primal frenzy as the mind was somewhat out of it due to the overwhelming psyche change to a dragon. the scene was quite a bit of RP and graphic in its description. also polymorphing in general can be extremely graphic and whatnot :)
Good ideas. It's cool that you planned out the transformation more slowly. Some fantasies make transformations too quick and painless which robs them of impact. Also, it's been a long time since anyone mentioned parasite eves, that was a cool set of games. It's a shame the franchise has gone dormant.
Sorta surprised necrografts didn’t make the cut. Rolling with a morgh tongue is absolutely body horror.
Actually I have not come across necrografts. Thanks for cluing me in. I'll have to look at them.
@@d6damage93 They’re fun, if not all that great mechanically. They certainly make for interesting flavor, having pieces of undead replacing limbs or organs. Something to spice up that necromancer who loves making necrocrafts and playing surgeon.
@@BlackIce3190some are definitely better than others, but gravespawn gland is by far my favorite. The simple reason is the hilarious interaction it has with the greater gift of consumption hex. That witch's hex allows you to throw fortitude saves that you'd suffer at other people. Meaning you say the command word and instead of your head exploding someone else's does and then they animate as a zombie.
Kytons are a good fit for this as well. I have used them a couple times for this effect in my 5e games (not in pf 1e game yet). I take liberal inspiration from warhammer dark elves.
WH dark elves are great inspiration, as are the dark eldar haemonculi covens in 40K
i think Demonic Implants and necrografts deserve an honorable mention
great video, but couldn't the mutant template also be an easy addition to the body horror genre?
It definitely could. It looks like mutant has a lot of cool options.
