Can zoology and botany be a good combination for IFoS?? Because I had studied Botany for the first 2yrs of my graduation and then my honours was in Zoology.
i am bsc agriculture graduating student of 2nd yr still confused between forestry and agriculture for first optional. lol if i take forestry i can take botany but if i take agri then i cant take botany. but both forestry and botany i hv studied somewhat in my graduation. i am also thinking to take forestry and botany optional. forestry will be easier compared to botany.
You can choose Forestry and Botany for IFoS. But the problem is Botany for UPSC is little bit tough. If you are interested in both IAS and IFoS, then my suggestion would be Agriculture for IAS and Agriculture and Botany for IFoS. Because many syllabus topics are common between Agriculture and Botany.

UPSC has not mentioned anything specifically about tattoos. So no problem. But while attending interview, there is a chance that the board members might ask you. Have proper reason for that. Mostly in interview we wear full sleeve shirt. So you can hide it. Regarding optional, it is based on your interest. With proper guidance you can choose any optional.

It will be very tough to choose Botany Optional for Non botany graduates. Go through the syllabus and PYQ and then decide.
