I'm concerned about how this will be reacted to by the Slovakian government, primarily that Fico-if he survives-his camp and SMER will seek an opportunistic exploitation of the incident to further their own interests as opposed to doing the right thing for Slovakian national interests. Ideally a thorough investigation of the crime and how it occurred is conducted which reaches conclusions then those findings are used by the Slovakian security services to move forward with reasonable and lawful changes to their security posture to further mitigate the likelihood of such violent and potentially lethal assaults against their officials considering this person had a security detail when this happened.

We don't know why yet. But there was a very big Slovakian protest against his attitude to Ukraine and Russia so it could be that. But these countries will need to leave the EU if they want to become more pro Russian and they don't want that.

It's one of these cases where you can find a sort of motive on each side. False flag operation by the FSB or maybe the CIA? Both sound pretty outlandish but not impossible.
For comparison, we had the bombing of Nord Stream where Russia was accused in Western media for a while. The theory was that the bombing would allow Russia to *not* fulfill its oil delivery obligations while avoiding financial penalties. Personally, I find the theory that the USA did it more plausible, especially after Biden announced the USA would find ways to prevent Nord Stream 2.

Hi Jonathan! Viewer here living in Slovakia. From every video shared it seems fake and done for political reason.
Why I do have this opinion (so far)? He has control of all society institutions, from presidency to justice, police etc.. We are talking about an individual which order a murderer of a couple.
I might be totally wrong but the trust on this individual is so low that I simply don't believe he was actually shot.
