This has been a favorite song of mine for, I dunno, ALOT of years... I'm 56 in 2020. I kinda lost touch w/ Blackmore's Night, although I love them & Richie IS in my top 3 guitarists....I've often thought this is the song I want to be remembered by when I die. I am so happy that, although late to the party by 14 years, Candace Night has sung the version that fits me best, being a lady, myself ... BEAUTIFUL! Thank You!
I have never heard who can sing like David Coverdale... Without him the song is nothing. I remember when I first heard the song was been sang by David Coverdale I was crying... And after him nobody could make me cry ... David is legend.
Amazing guitarist...her voice is incredible and she has a gift for lyrics as demonstrated in other songs I have heard so far tonight...this is an absolutely fantastic team. Extremely hard to believe they can stay together as husband and wife while leading a touring and recording act. They are modern day saints! Can't wait to hear their take on "Diamonds and Rust". I love the work that goes into their sets.

I love this so much even though I always hear David's voice when I think about this song. I just think that this is David's song, he is the PERFECT singer for this song. I love Blackmore's Night and Candice's voice so much but for me this is simply David's song for him to sing. But I still love this version too so all good and peace and love :)

Like many of us I miss the DP Ritchie, but he looks like he has found a beautiful woman that really loves and understands him. There seems a real peace to him now.
Richie and David sat down somewhere in time wrote this greatness now they’re both older in their respective ages, but this song remain to take all your pain and agony away......... thank you both, that’s what the musicianship all about...... some people refuse to grow old because their endless needs may God gives them everything.
I think he has actually found his peace. One must see how collected he is on the stage (on any clip). Even if you are correct in your assessment, it makes no difference. The music is beautiful, he thrives in this environment. One would like to see him doing more of Highway Star stuff as well but the man seems very happy and that makes me happy for him as well. DP only made their listeners happy, the band members each went through hell in their career because of their superior talents/pressures

Was not sure what to expect, was pleasantly surprised. This is easily the best guitar playing of Blackmore's career. First time he was ever not sloppy as shit, honestly. His wife is quite talented as well, very good pitch and delivery - impressive stuff.

I remember in Belgrade the same year...It was indoor. He was playing some acoustic solo,just by him self,not a band....You could hear his foot holding rhythm. It was so quiet. People listen when he plays...You dont make noise.

CANDICE HAS A GR8 VOICE. HER TONAL QUALITIES FIT PERFECTLY THE MELODIES RITCHIE PLAYS. WITHOUT CANDICE RITCHIE WOULD NOT HAVE PUT THIS BAND TOGETHER.
Her voice fits what they do very well. She has nice stage presence and is quite attractive.
It just shows what presence a guitar can be made to have with NO fancy effect pedals, and good clear vocals.

I remember in Belgrade the same year...It was indoor. He was playing some acoustic solo,just by him self,not a band....You could hear his foot holding rhythm. It was so quiet. People listen when he plays...You dont make noise.
