Thank you! Glad you like it.
the best!
I am very fond of your work. Please describe your formula of 75 Drops of Smokey Ink Les Bursley in detail. Again thank you for the awesome work and tips!!!!!

The gold work and fire sword work are some of the coolest I've seen. Definitely going to borrow some of your tips.
Glad you like it! This is probably one of my favorite models I've done. The flame sword was especially fun to paint.
Wowza! That flame sword, tho. That's mighty impressive work, man! You just earned a new subscriber, here.
Thanks man! This is definitely one of my favorites!
Amazing job 👏
aaaaand subscribed.
Welcome! Glad to have ya!
This is legendary stuff
Thanks! This is one of my favorite models. Super fun to paint
One of the best videos I've seen in a while! The way you did the Skin and the Gold is really cool!
Thanks dude! Glad you like it! He was a blast to paint!
Well I finally watched all of this - great job man! You always find a way in each video to surprise me and with this is was definitely your mad drybrushing skills. Dude came out great! When you come by you need to bring your epic painted set of Blood Rage! ;)
Drybrushing for the win! I will for sure bring Blood Rage along! Such a beautiful sight now that it's all painted!
The sword is so amazing. I'm afraid to burn my fingers on it.
Nice job Bandu. Top blending on that firey sword of doom!
Thanks man! That sword was really fun to do :D
Amazing job as always :) I am glad to see that you made another Blood rage video. Do you plan on doing any of expansion sets ? Keep up the good work
Thanks man! Just a few more to go and then the whole core box is covered! (It's all painted now and recorded - just gotta find time to edit them) I will eventually be covering the expansions as I get them.
I'm really happy you only used the airbrush for the sword since I don't have. So it is easier to follow your work :) I'm thinking about to buy a compressor but I'm not sure I paint enough to worth it. Anyway, the sword and the skin are stunning, those are my favourites. Overall impressive painting. What I might consider changing is some modification on the golden part. For example, adding some colours to the gauntlet. Like if there were rubies or other gems.
Yeah I tried to do as much of this guy with a brush to change things up a bit :) Glad you like him! When you get that gold and gems done you should post it in the Discord and on the Patreon community page. Would love to see it :D
Simply amazing, I wonder how I will do with just brush :(
You can do it!!
Well let me start off by saying that it's been a while since I've watched a painting video from start to finish in a long time (as I just did for yours). A few questions and points:
- I love how you used drybrushing instead of wet blending to get a variety of skin tones. Very nice touch!
- How do you find smokey ink compares to something like Seraphim Sepia? I looked like the same color & effect, but it's hard to tell in a video
- "Wedgie cloth" haha!
- That sword is frickin' epic. Amazing job on blending the colors and creating the illusion of hot/cool regions along the blade.
Thanks man! This guy was quite fun - though he took a fair amount of time to paint (surprise surprise ;D)
Smokey Ink is a bit darker than Seraphim Sepia and IMO dries in a more natural way - in that it gives a more natural shaded look and a more 'grimy' look depending on how it's used. It also doesn't matte out the shine like the Citadel Shades do (though that can be cured with some varnish).
It's kind of hard to explain... Maybe I'll have to do a little video on it or something cuz it's one of my favorite washes of all time :D
@@BandaInku Yeah maybe do an "inks vs washes" vid? I'd watch that :)
Hello! Impressive tuto. I 've painted my first 4 clans thanks to your tutos.
I've got a question... How do you do tu vernish your warriors?
I use Anti shine but gold and silver is not as shining after...
Nice! Glad they helped! I varnish usually with a gloss varnish first, then a matte (usually Testors dullcote through an airbrush or Liquitex matte varnish with a brush) and then apply a satin varnish to any metal bits to restore a bit of the sheen. (Either with a satin varnish like Liquitex or just mix matte and gloss varnish about 50:50 - more or less depending on the sheen you want)
Also looking forward to the next Rising Sun monster. Hopefully you are doing them all?
Definitely will be doing more Rising Sun! Will be getting back to painting some monsters after I get some of the smaller dudes in the queue done (Sun Daimyo is coming up next!) A new poll is about to start on Patreon in the next day or two so if you've got a specific monster or figure you'd be interesting in seeing soon let me know and I can consider adding them into the vote and see what happens!
Amazing! How long did this take you to complete?
A B.S. amount of time ;D
You're such a troll haha :)
:-D :-D :-D
Hi men, amazing job! Is it possible to get that effect on the sword without an airbrush?
Yes you definitely can! There’s a bunch of ways you could go about it, but the simplest would either be to start with the lighter colors and work your way to the darker ones, blending them along the way. Or you could block out the different colors and then come back and blend them together. (Like this: czcams.com/video/HUYaIUmm7Ss/video.html)
I also go over various blending methods you can use to get similar results to airbrushing in this video 😁Create that Airbrush Effect WITHOUT USING AN AIRBRUSH!

@@BandaInku thanks MAESTRO
What’s a good substitute for “sanguine base”? I’m wondering if i have something i could use to replicate that color already. Great video as always. Thank you!!!
So Vallejo Hull Red is fairly close, or you could add a bit of purple to some red to mix your own. Maybe like 2:1 or 3:1 red to purple depending on which red and purple you use. That's what I used to do before getting Sanguine base. It's like a maroonish purpley color.
Banda Inku awesome thank you! Maybe I’ll just grab that color. Never seen it before.
Ahh, i was so satisfied with my own fire giant up until I watched this...
I'm sure yours still looks great!
Don't compare your work to others, compare your work to your previous works :)
nice man could you do the ram clan?
I haven't gotten that expansion yet but when I do, I will for sure cover it in a video tutorial! Hopefully I'll be getting it soon :)
@@BandaInku thank you very much
Any plans on painting the 5th player expansion pack (the Ram Clan)? I Apologize if you've already answered this question somewhere. I totally get it if not.
I've been asked that quite a few times actually 😂 I have that expansion but have just not had the time to paint it yet. I do want to though!
@@BandaInku Right on, I get that 😅 well if you ever get around to doing it even if it's a short pdf I'd love ya for it. Keep on painting brother!
It's on the Todo list! Though that list is quite extensive haha
