- In this tutorial, I'll show you how to make a stereo 3d camera rig in Unreal Engine 5.1
We set the cameras 63mm apart from each other, by setting the left eye to -3.15 and the right eye to be +3.15 on the y axis.

Ingenious!
Great tuorial, thank you very much
Hey Alex. Thanks for the awesome tut.
Yeah!
Wow. You are so smart. THANK YOU.
Epic!
Awesome tutorial! I give you a like and suscribe to your channel !
Thanks!
Thanks for tutorial, great setup, i made my own but instead of manage 2 blueprints i made 2 instances of the "parent" in my case i named as "Master", the pro of that way is all settings are in sync whit the master, the only cons that what i found is the impossibly of hide the mesh
Nice! I like your way,, I’ll try it out. You should be able to get rid of the mesh by clicking on the mesh and then click clear.
Thank you, Alex. I was wondering about the two rendered images. How can I combine them to create a 360 3D image for VR headsets? You mentioned Assimilate, but I'm not sure where to start.
Assimilate.gitbook.io is a link to the documentation I’ve started for Assimilate.
Stereo workflows are not in the docs yet and are very specific, but you can email support @ assimilateinc.com and ask for help and you can mention me as well, they can loop me in as needed. I can try to make a tutorial on it soon, I’m just slammed at the moment :/
Great tutorial. I was trying to use this technique but you clarified some steps I was missing. The sequencer now has panoramic rendering built in so I am going try and apply this technique for 3dVR 360/180. Do you foresee any issues I might run into?
Oh cool, when did they introduce panoramic rendering?!
For 360, I don’t know how sequencer is working, but definitely test a few frames before rendering out a whole sequence. You may have to turn off most effects, especially anything that is screen space
I'm curious if you had success with the 360 render in stereo? Thanks!
@@justuslowry I have success in rendering 360 stereo by using the new panoramic rendering feature combined by this technique. But I also want to render 180 stereo. Can anyone guide me to how to do that?
@@faizanasif7042 I don’t know if it’s possible to render it natively, but you could render 360, then use another software to crop out the back 180. Not ideal I know but should work the same
hi alex thank you first
i was wondering if this method work with all distance object
You mean if things are far in the distance? If they are, you can exaggerate the distance between the cameras to force depth, but just be careful with this and check in stereo because you can obviously go too far.

The look at don't do this job
I mean don't it adjust the angle of the camera automatically
How can these two cameras be used to eliminate perspective Tilt
Is the other plugin you talk about at the beginning the Camera 360 by Ivan Elizarov? I consider bying it but it is kinda expensive if it does not work properly. Nowadays the sequencer also has a panoramic mode but my renders come out extremely overexposed. Thanks for this rig system in any case.
Yeah exactly camera 360. The other plug in is Off World Live.
@@AlexPearce3d so it was the 360 by Off World you were referring to? I meant the one by Ivan. I guess you havent tried it?
@@imaginingPhysics I’ve tried both. I most likely was talking about Ivan’s plugin.
Hello! I really liked your tutorial. But I have a doubt. I'm using terescopicplayer to play stereo in a room with a 3D projector. But, the test I did left the stereo in and I wanted to make the screen jump to give it greater impact and increase immersion when people put on the anaglyph glasses. Would you help me? I'm searching the internet, but without success in finding an unrteal solution.
Do you have any clue how to make stereo, but in realtime? I need to create a build (rather than video) for 3d TV
How to do this in realtime??
You can probably do it someway by using a render texture instead of a “camera”, but I haven’t tried to figure that out yet.
@@AlexPearce3d I do not want to use a render texture. It's not good for the performance...
@@MayurKamatDoesStuff i don’t think it’s possible but if you figure it out please let me know!
hmm is there somthing wrong with comment? my comment is not showing appropriately. I wrote about rendering camera at the same tiome so that no particle issues accur
