Excellent review. Thank you. Ill be checking out your other videos
Thanks man
I got it. And I enjoy it very much. Best bang for your buck.
Nice, glad that you are enjoying the Movo, I find that it works great especially at its price point. Cheers
A very professional way of making videos. Perfect. Question ... Is this New MOVO PRO better than the original Movo VXR10 ???
From what I can tell so far the audio seems to be a little more crisp and also rejects more background noise than the original model. Also the deadcat and foam in the model or a better fit and don’t fall off the mic. Lastly with the orginal vxr10 sometimes I got mic shake in the Audio but so far I’m not hearing it at all with the pro model. Overall I think both are a great option and if you have the extra roughly $10 you can get the pro model. Hope that helps. Cheers
By any chance do you have a longer cable recommendation to replace the original cable that the movo vrx10 pro comes with for mobil devices please?
Great review. I order one today. What mount system did you used for your phone in the video?
I just bought a generic smartphone mount and used a small rig adapter so the mic could be positioned pointing towards me but above the phone 📱
Excellent review. Thank you! If my camera has an autofocus am I going to hear lens clicking when this microphone is attached to the camera with its shock amsorber?
hey alexander, to be 100% honest i havent had issues with that, but most of the time im using MF or lumix native glass so there is no lens AF noise.
Thank you@@LowellProductions Then I'll buy it and test myself ✌️
@@alexanderj2584 I think you will enjoy it, and if you get a mic cord extender its a great mic for youtube/podcast if positioned correctly . Cheers
I have a takstar and just got a deity d3 and the deity is only a little bit better but when plugging it into the h4npro it hisses a lot way more than the takstar so I pretty much just plug the deity into my g9
I have never heard of the takstar I'll have to take a look, also what a bummer that the deity gets hiss when plugged into the h4n. I bet the deity with the g9 gets good results as I have always found that the panasonics do allow for pretty decent in body audio recording with most external mics
@@LowellProductions ya plugged into the g9 its great but its something weird with deity and the h4n I actually had to ask deity about it cuz initially the mic wouldnt even work with the h4n. and dude the takstar is the legendary budget mic!! look up takstar vs rode
@@A1Bokeh will do my friend cheers
I purchased this mic and really like it ... but: I plugged it right into my Canon R5 and am getting a constant background noise; in FCPX I de-noise but it doesn't sound that good. Any advice? I didn't hear any background noise when you were reviewing it. Am I doing something wrong? Or maybe I'm just not doing a good job in the post-production side. Anyhow, people are raving about this mic, like you, but the background noise is very apparent. Anyhow, would love to hear your feedback on this. Thanks!!
so there are two things that I suggest, this mic records rather "hot" so make sure to turn down your audio input levels. when i film i record at -12db into camera and just boost the audio in post production. My other suggestion would be to make sure you are using the correct cord they sent as there are two and also make sure that the inputs are correct because one input is for the camera and one is for the mics input. i hope this will help solve your issue. best
Have you experienced any hiss or white noise from the movo when plugged into your camera?
I have not had that issue so far, but I do record my audio at super low input levels to reduce the hiss/white noise and then just boost the gain in post production. I find that most cameras + these types of mics tend to record audio rather hot. Hopefully that helps. cheers
@@LowellProductions thanks man. I recorded it a very low level and still had tons of white noise to the point where it sounded like it was raining outside. Ended up throwing the clip in audacity and helping the issue but strange I needed to go to that length when no settings were changed with the audio and with other recordings it used to be crisp.
@@sampickus401 my only other thought might be the audio cable, making sure that inputs are correct, what i mean is there is a label for the microphone and a label for the camera audio input maybe those could have been backwards? If the issue stays just reach out to movo as I have had great customer service with them in the past. Maybe hit them up on IG as there could be a chance you got a faulty model. Hopes that helps. Sorry your dealing with that.
@@LowellProductions thanks for the reply. The cables inputs are correct. I actually left the little tags they had on there to make sure I didn’t forget. Camera settings seem fine to me and since I don’t have a spare cable to test I think it might be that. Mic sounds fine when I connect it to my iPhone.
What do you guys think of the movo? What mic setups are you guys rocking with your 📸 or 📱??
