I think you did a marvelous job of explaining each step in the process of making these cute little trays. I especially love the embroidery addition! I also liked all of the great tips you gave. It’s my first time watching you and now I’m going to subscribe to your channel. Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

These are darling! As far as the wrinkles, I've been embroidering for years and still get wrinkles. With these though just put some candy in them where the wrinkles are and poof! They are gone! 🤣 Love your tutorials! 😍

Great timing for this video. I am going to make a dice tray as part of a gaming pouch for a Christmas gift. I will be putting snaps in the corners so it can be flattened.

Thank you for mentioning the snaps. I want to make some that will lay flat and hadn't thought of using snaps.

It would be so cute if you could find snaps with dice on them! 🎲

Hi Jessica, When I use my embroidery machine I put a light weight stabilizer on my cotton fabric before you embroidery. You will not get the puckering. That works for me. Thank you for sharing your tutorial.

I agree with you but you can so double your stabilizer . The cat stitches are dense and need more support.

Thank you for a great scrap busting tutorial Jess, it was a lovely idea to embroider something on the tray. You asked for any suggestions to help reduce the puckering. I hoop the stabiliser only, fuse light interfacing or pellon product to the fabric to be embellished and pin firmly onto the stabiiser. For extra support if a dense design, slip a piece of tearaway under the hoop. Best wishes from another Jess.

I like your instructions I was shown this somewhat differently. I have a Janome 12000, I too love the G foot for topstitching.
I am still afraid of my embroidery module. I know, I simply need to do it and get over myself.

You’re not alone in being afraid. I was terrified when I got my first embroidery machine. I don’t know why but I think was afraid I would somehow damage the machine! It’s not so scary once you try it and it’s so much to add embroidery to everything!

A great quick project for little gifts. Also, a cute little scrap buster, especially for those small cork pieces. Thank you, Jess. Always a pleasure watching you sew.

A very fun video! I needed something like this today because I'm so tired of all the political videos, etc. etc!!! I always enjoy watching how you work and learning some new techniques. I love how you added the embroidery and used scraps of fabric to create something fun, quick and useful. I love my embroidery machine and always looking for new ways to add a little extra to my projects. Thanks you so much from another New York lady!

My guess as to why the embroidery turned out wrinkled is maybe it was too loose in the hoop. Great project! Now I want an embroidery machine, haha!

Enjoyed your video. To eliminate the puckering, try ironing shape flex 101 (interfacing) on the wrong side of your embroidery fabric. You can still use any stabilizer.

Love this! Could 505 adhesive be used to tack the cork together before topstitching together?
    Thanks!

How fun. Be sure to forgive yourself with embroidery. It’s definitely a “test and test again” endeavor.
