- These trays are made with just a simple square of fabric. What size would make and what would you put in it?
Here is the video for the quilt in the background

Wow! I’m thinking Christmas already! Make these and fill with bread or cookies! O the creative juices are flowing!
Hi Laura - I LOVE THESE TRAYS they are so handy and I have made many, the same way as you. However, I did make one slightly different for my Husband, who LOVES doing Jigsaw Puzzles. Instead of sewing the little corners together, I put snaps on the inside of the corners, so once he had finished keeping his jigsaw pieces in them that he had sorted out, he can un-snap them and lay them flat in the box. LOVE your videos as always, and am looking forward to your next one. Take care, Linda (from England) x
I can see an Americana themed fabric tray that corrals paper napkins for casual al fresco dining. This is a great childrens' sewing project using Christmas fabrics. They like to honor their teachers, librarians, and lunch ladies with gifts.
Beautiful
How cute!!
Such a great project. I will be making a few baskets to give to my mother in law for her 91st birthday next week. I will also make some for me to keep by my bedside.
Using the purple marker is brilliant, makes it so very easy to see it on the video. Thank you.
Super cute and easy. Thanks for sharing. Have a terrific weekend.
Thank you for showing us a simple project. I can think of many little uses for these. And, they can be made so personal.
Hello! I hope you have had a fun and creative day. I just got to sit down to watch your video. I just want you to know that I enjoy your channel content and always find it interesting. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead. Thank you for sharing your video and your talent.
I'm going to make broth sizes, and maybe keep one on my nightstand for holding my glasses and hearing aids right before bedtime. Thanks, Laura! ❤️
Great idea Virginia!!!....I'm going to make one too for my glasses on my nighstand.
Very cute, Laura.
Those are really cute & handy. My daughter is always asking me to make things like this. She may get a few!!
Always love your tutorials. From the complex to the simplest projects, you break things down into doable segments. Thank you 😊
Cute little trays!
what a great scrap buster! When I iron the corners (like in last pic) I put a clip on them and let it sit while they cool off. Holds the shape perfectly!
What a great project. Thank you.
Such a quick and easy project! While I didn't actually time how long it took, I would estimate it at 20 minutes or thereabouts. I'm fairly certain most of that was spent rummaging in the scrap box to find just the right fabrics. I used 9" squares and a slightly smaller piece of interfacing (should probably have used two as per the instructions, but I'm happy with how it holds up), and stitched it with 1-1/2" sides. Perfect for Mr O to toss his keys in when he gets home from work. Thank you for the awesome tutuorial!
🍃🌸🍃I’ve got to make a bunch of these treasures! 🍃🌸🍃
Always a pleasure seeing your videos. Love the way you explain it. Thanks.
This is perfect timing Laura, I need to make a larger box and didn’t really know how to start. Thank you thank you!!
Those are so cute!
Thank you! This would be perfect for my paper napkins......(love your tutorials-many thanks) x
Thanx Laura 😍 Top little idea. Quick & simple to make. Appreciate your time. ❤️😘

Thank you so much for this video! I have made several of these in varying sizes to organize my craft and sewing room. They make awesome drawer dividers!

Very cute project. You look very nice in pink, Laura. Thanks for sharing🧵🪡
How darling and easy to make thank you.
These are gorgeous. Thankyou, Laura... Hugs, Chel🌸
I'm thinking of making this with snaps on the corners for a catch all tray when I'm traveling. Thanks, Laura!
Thank you SO much! I was just getting ready to buy some trays to put in my shelving unit and now I can just MAKE them!!!
Love the way you are so detailed. Thank you for this. I am going to try and make this today. I bought templates to help but I have not used them yet as I am intimidated. Look forward to more tutorials from you. Thank you again!!
So cute and easy! Thanks Laura!
Very cute, especially the little one. Perfect for clips when sewing and other sewing hardware
So easy & adorable!
Thanks Laura!
Lost count of the how many of these I have made. Love your pointed corner👍🏻
This is great, thank you. Would it be doable to somehow use snaps/hooks, etc., for the corners so it could open up flat and how would you go about that for it to be solid? I think they would make good nesting gifts with the option of both styles. I have lots of fabric leftovers and really need to use the up. Always enjoy your videos, thank you.
Definitely, you could. In fact, that would make it so much more versatile and great for storing when not in use.
I'm a big fan of Laura's and have featured her tutorials on my blog, so I hope this isn't overstepping. In response to your query about a flat version, I have one here that's done up with buttons: esheepdesigns.blogspot.com/2017/12/free-patterntutorial-flat-pack-travel.html
@@esheepdesigns Thank you, another option of how to do this. I think options are good.
I love you Laura I kept making them and they would come out wonky, but thanks to you I am enlighten 😌 thank you so much .....
My friend and I have been making these for years. They are super handy for many things.
What a great small project. Great for clips, etc. Thanks for sharing.
These are so cute. Your explanation was so wonderful. That purple ink snowed me exactly how to trim the corners. I have made so many of your ten inch gift bags! Now I can add these.
Great video, thank you.
Just made my first couple and I absolutely love them! Thank you for am easy to follow tutorial
What a great idea thanks for sharing I think I’ll make some for my new granddaughter’s nursery 💜

I like to make them and use thinsulate heat proof ,and use them to set a hot dish on the table , great to keep your vegetables ,or potatoes hot longer
Great idea
Also if using the tiny box for hand sewing you could stick your tools in the space in the corner flaps.
Great tutorial!!! ❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have made these to hold my wonder clips.
Thanks a lot! 🌺🌸

Also give an idea on how to pack them for sell purpose

Great tutorial. Btw what is the name of the pattern on the wall. Black, white and red. Thanks!!
I bought internet facing and there’s no sticky side for you to ironing on the fabric what do you do with it?
Is that the same as making bowl??
Does the glue on the fusible mess up the needle? Is there a specific needle to use?
www.schmetzneedles.com/collections/super-nonstick-home-sewing-machine-needles these work great
hello, can you please tell me why every time i use the iron on facing (following the directions) it wrinkles up??? what am i doing wrong??? thank you , Judie
Are you moving your iron around? Maybe that is why….press and hold lift move to next are and repeat .
sometimes it shrinks, so...you can steam your interfacing first. Do not have the iron touch it, just steam it. and then put it on the fabric
@@SewVeryEasy Thank you
@@juliecharron956 thank you ,,,that could be the problem
Great little trays. However, the perfectionist always comes out in me. The fact the square wasn't squared up with the design 😕😕
