Anyone else always enjoy the weather updates? I do. đ
So do I đ€Ł It always makes me laugh because Pete is clearly far more into it than Martin is but Martin being an easygoing cheerful polite Canadian happily humours him.
I feel lame ever complaining about snow to a Canadian. They humor us but six inches may seem like a light dusting to them.
Absolutely, the reunion of Mark II Deep Purple in 1984 was monumental.!!!
It's a shame that reunion destroyed Black Sabbath, and Rainbow
@@godetonter4764 When one door closes, another opens!!! When Mark II disolved in 1973 that led eventually to the great band Gillan. And when Blackmore called it a day with Purple in 1975, that led to the fantastic Rainbow. And when Dio left Rainbow in 1979 that led to the renaissance of Black Sabbath in the Dio years, as well as a reconfiguration of Rainbow with Roger Glover coming into the fold. And when Dio left Sabbath led to form his own great band, that provided an opportunity for Gillan to sing in Sabbath. In a way it is all somewhat circular. Change, new blood, new ideas, new directions. Sometimes it produces some fine results.
@@garyh.238 With Ian Gillan and the 1984 reunion, there was a reason for him to agree (besides money and it being what the fans wanted): his agent actually threatened to resign and move with his family to Australia if Gillan didn't accept the invite.
@@MRB16th Interesting. I hadn't been aware of that before. Where did that info come from? A bio or an interview?
@@garyh.238 Gillan himself - not sure where - but Ian knew by looking at his fact that the agent wasn't bluffing: he was going to move his family to the other side of the world unless this reunion happened.
Also, while they briefly discussed bringing in David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes, this was dropped as both men were working on other projects (Coverdale had Whitesnake, and Hughes ended up on lead vocals for the next Sabbath album, Seventh Star - they would have declined in any event).
I absolutely love Perfect Strangers. Start to finish itâs a perfect 10 imo. Itâs still a regular spin for me to this day.
Some good choices guys but amazed that Maiden didnât get mentioned. When you combine the longevity of the reunion, the quality of the albums and tours they are second to noneâŠ.
KISS '96 for me. When the curtain went down in Berlin on that tour and I saw the original line-up in their full overblown make-up glory for the first time (they unmasked when I was still in elementary school), I totally lost it in the front row. After Deuce, I looked around... grown men were weeping. A popular German TV host next to me was sobbing while shouting in my ear (english translation follows): "That's Ace Frehley right there, man! Ace Frehley, man!!! My hero Ace Frehley, man!!!" Unforgettable. (They should have called it quits soon after, though.) Honourable mentions: Alice In Chains '09, Exodus '04, Simon & Garfunkel '81. All other reunions mostly sucked.
I saw Styx with Dennis on the "Return to Paradise Theater" tour in the late 90's with Kansas as the opener. It was an amazing show!
Europe on their -84 Wings of Tomorrow tour here in Sweden was my first ever concert. Great pure hard rock! Saw them again in 2018 and they were HEAVY, no hair metal-pop feeling there! And like you said, Martin - AIC really made a glorious come-back with William Duvall. Saw them in 2018 as well and both the new and old material was great.
I think the Allman Brothers are the greatest American rock band of all time. I did get to see Lynyrd Skynyrd while they still had some of their original members, with the guy on bass with all the hats, and the original piano player, and I'm happy I saw that. There is a lot of sadness and emotion that comes along with that band, and their music, and the Allmans as well.
I gotta go with Bruce and Adrian rejoining Iron Maiden for Brave New World and releasing one of their finest albums
ABSOLUTELY! Couldn't agree more.
Styx "Return to the Paradise" has got to be one of the best concert DVD's ever. The whole band kicks it in high gear. Not a weak moment IMHO.
Agreed!
I saw the Purple reunion too Pete. Great album and tour.
My favorites:
1. Deep Purple Mk. II - Perfect Strangers
2. Iron Maiden - Brave New World (Bruce and Adrian return)
3. Michael Schenker Group(s)
4. Asia
5. Lynyrd Skynyrd
I would agree with Asia. But John Payne's last studio album, 2004's Silent Nation, with Asia is a lot better than the 3 reunion (never heard Gravitas) albums Asia put out. Overall to me. Silent Nation is probably Asia's best album. It's right up there with 1985's Astra (my favourite from Downes, Wetton & Palmer era).
1. Deep Purple MKII (1984 & 1993)
2. Led Zeppelin (2007)
3. Black Sabbath (1998)
4. Iron Maiden (2000)
5. Heaven and Hell
6. Rick James and the Stone City Band (1997)
7. Fleetwood Mac (1997)
8. Bad Company (1995)
9. Asia (2006)
KISS reunion will always be my favorite in regards to being 17 or 18 at the time and loving them since I was very young. But never imagined I'd ever see the original 4 on stage and in make up.
Still like their labelmates Angel had a better reunions
Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Howe
Asia
Styx
Foreigner...the tour with many original members
And certainly Deep Purple of the 80's.
2009 Faith No More
Hi Pete.
For me the GREAT BAND REUNIONS could be:
1. CREAM 2005 for 4 shows in London and 2 shows in NYC
2. LED ZEPPELIN 2007 for one night only at O2 in 2007
3. KISS 1996 Tour that unleashed a short Kissmania around the rock world
4. BLACK SABBATH 1997/98 Reunion tour
5. DEEP PURPLE Perfect Strangers album and tour after 10 years of the last MK2 show. Unfortunately we know what happened next with the following years.
Greetings from Monterrey, Mexico
Funhouse time!
Will never forget seeing Skynyrd on the first tour after the plane crash. When they played Freebird, the stage was completely dark except for one spotlight focused on a pair of white shoes at center stage at the base of the mic stand. An incredibly moving moment.
King Crimson. Discipline. Unreal and way ahead of its time.
ABWH - Unreal performance. I was in Philly and the place went nuts.
Rush - Just because we never thought the band was coming back together.
Favourite Bands & reunion album:
*1)* Bachman Turner Overdrive - Bachman-Turner Overdrive (1984)
*2)* Deep Purple - The House of Blue Light (1987)
*3)* Santana (original members) - Santana IV (2016)
*4)* Lynyrd Skynyrd - Endangered Species (1994)
*5)* The Allman Brothers Band - Seven Turns (1990)
Mercyful Fate is quite amazing. I agree with you gents. Everything they have ever released has been top notch quality music.
Gotta agree with Martin. The Michael Schenker Group output over the past several years has been absolutely amazing.
Styx Return To Paradise is genuinely one of the best live DVD/albums ever.
I saw them on that tour, and it was a phenomenal concert
@@stuarthecht8196 Lucky man.
@@63mckenziethank you- FYI, the video captures the concert/tour in all its glory. This was their swan song of the Dennis DeYoung era, and they went out with a bang.
Triumph at Sweden Rock Festival 2008
Great stuff, gentlemen. Love hearing the back stories behind each reunion
Allman Brothers for sure in the late 80's Little Feat too
you two have great chemistry and a perfect fit. I am enjoying these videos -- Pardo and Popoff--immensely. Thanks much. Its actually the perfect way to unwind before sleep and still find something interesting and new info. Yesterday I listened to some music by bands I had NEVER heard of before. Thanks much fellas.
Thanks for the props for MSG!!! Love Michael Schenker. Saw the "Michael Schenker Fest" show.
Hey Pete, just wanted to vent a little bit, I discovered you and your world during the Covid pandemic, I canât thank you enough for what youâre doing, I look so forward to your showâs, absolutely love Hudson Valley Squares, and the Monsters Den,
Must see TV! But also to hear smart people talk about music! Martin Popov is awesome, and everyone else you bring on your show, I learn something new from every single show you have, I donât comment much, but I have to give you much love from Detroit, you have more fans then you think! Keep up the great work you do! Love you and all who are apart of this special platform! God bless sup Cris Ali đ
All really good choices. Iâd have to say that the Europe one is the reunion most people would be shocked by. Absolutely killer stuff over the past 15 years from these guys. Everyone here in Detroit just associates them with the Pistons Bad Boys teams because that was the teamâs theme song. So much more to them now. âSecret Societyâ shocked the hell out of me and is my favorite out of the newer ones, although they are all very strong.
Soft Machine's 2015 reunion! In the album "Hidden Details" of 2018 they gave us Mike Ratledge' little gem "The Man who waved at Trains" in an "enhanced" version!
Status Quo the Frantic Four reunion. Even though Alan was suffering from MS he sounded like the young Nuff of old. Bet theyâre glad they did it, the fans were
Lynyrd Skynyrd reunion. First there was the 20th anniversary tour then came the 1991 album. Glad I got to see them when most of the 70âs lineup were still going
Maybe it's cheating, but Page and Plant in the mid-90's put out two fantastic albums, one live, one new studio.
I think Page & Plant is an underrated reunion. Would have liked to see them also reunite with John Paul Jones for new original material though.
Perfect strangers is a 10/10 album. Every song is great.
My favorite reunion only happened for one song. Normally I would never sight this institution, but the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was the stage for a reunion that made be both super happy and ultimately pissed off as well. Heart...and the original band playing "Crazy on You" showed with one song, despite decades of anger and attacks at each other in the media, how essential those original members were to that untouchable sound and feel of those classic Heart albums! They were awesome!!!! They have NEVER been the same since Derosier, Fossen, Leese and Fischer left the band!!
Since all of them are still alive, IF they were to regroup, (which I know they won't) I would pay almost any amount of money to see that lineup!!
Definitely agree with that. But I also really like their albums in the 2000âs, I guess a kind of reunion of sorts. Iâm a big fan of Red Velvet Car and Fanatic rocks! Not sure weâll get anything more now though.
These episodes with Pete and Martin are so enjoyable for me, as the "metalhead progger jazz fan who also loves punk, new wave, and post-punk!" :-) I love most of what Pete loves, musically, and I'm still always learning more from him about great bands and albums (new and old), and for the punk stuff that Pete doesn't like, Martin always has my back too! :-) Great show, great music, great conversation-- love it, guys!
Thank god someone out there appreciates Europe. As much as I do like their mid 80's stuff, all of the newer albums are just stellar. And I would agree the War Of Kings is quite possibly the best of the bunch. And the fact that it's actually still the same 5 guys that recorded The Final Countdown, amazing band.
It always amazes me that Final Countdown is the album that took off. Though it's quite good, it's one of my least favorite in their catalog! Such a good band throughout the years.
@@gwts1171 I love Europe, but I guess I differ with a lot of hardcore fans in that Final Countdown is actually my favorite album. I just love 'Ninja' and 'Final Countdown,' not to mention 'Danger on the Track', 'Cherokee,' and 'Carrie.' That said, the rest of their catalogue is certainly underrated. "The King Will Return" is amazing.
Deep Purple âPerfect Strangersâ and best concert too.
Todd Rundgren brought back Utopia for a great tour, with 3 of the 4 remaining members present.
It was a great 2.5 hour show. I think it was in 2018.
The #AllmanBrothersBand revival in the 1990's was great and I became an Allmanhead then, seeing them several times in that decade (got busy with my own music) and the Dreams box set is one of the best compilation releases ever. đ¶
My Top Reunions:
Genesis "Six of the Best" the one that got away... One I wish I had seen since it doesnt look like they will ever get back together (Gabriel, Rutherford, Banks, Phillips, Collins and Hackett) But the Reunions I was lucky enough to see in concert:
1) Raspberries
2) The Eagles 1st Hell Freezes over Tour
3) Kiss Psycho Circus
4) Deep Purple Perfect Strangers
5) Styx Return To Paradise
KISS with makeup was the be all end all reunion of all time. I saw the 2nd night at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh and Metallica was escorted to the soundboard to watch the show. Lars was air drumming Detroit Rock City. Crazy good stuff. Psycho Circus was OK as an after tour follow up but the pure excitement of seeing that lineup in makeup will never be topped.
The Michael Schenker Fest with all the vocalists was awesome. RIP Ted McKenna.......
I loved the Deep Purple reunion. I saw them in concert March of 1985 with Girlschool opening for them. It was a great show, but afterwards I thought I was going to die on the 120 mile drive home in the sleet and snow.
1. Asia (2006 w/ original lineup)
2. UK (2011 w/ Jobson & Wetton)
3. ELP (2010)
4. Black Sabbath (2011 w/ Osbourne)
5. Van Halen (2007 w/ David Lee Roth)
6. Judas Priest (2003 w/ Rob Halford)
Dinosaur Jr reunion of original lineup. They have now put out more albums since reunion than original run and arguable more consistently strong albums. Iâve enjoyed each of the newer albums, even though they ironically more like the stuff put out after Lou Barlow left.
Van der Graaf Generator in 2005 ... great album and fantastic live.
You have got me to listen to so many groups in the two years I have been following you, but I never imagined anything so preposterous as me listening to Europe. I am listening to War of Kings right now and that bad boy is going into my Amazon shopping basket straight away. I'll listen to the other later ones that you recommended over the weekend.
Yes 1991.The album not so much but that tour..damn,!
ELP 1992.Black Moon just might be my favorite album of the 90s.Saw them on that tour and it was the best show I have seen.
Saw Michael Schenker Fest in 2019.That was a fun show! They played for nearly 2 1/2 hours.
i never miss an episode!
About Europe. John Norum left the band during the height of their success in the mid/late 80's. He didn't care for all the commerical stuff and "work" around. Taking photos, doing interviews for teenage magazines and such. He wanted to rock and play live. He started a solo career that went decent. He later rejoined the band and has been a stabile member since. I think they do a good job of keeping a balance of the early work and the later stuff live. Even though The Final Countdown was a early favorite song for me as a kid I must agree that you shouldn't judge the band upon that song or Carrie or Rock the Night. They do offer quite much else!
1. Van der Graaf Generator. A great reunion after a 28 year pause.
2. Rainmakers. After 3 great albums they had a break, but came back better than ever after 5 years.
3. Kevin Ayers. After retiring to Spain with wine, he was coaxed out of years of inactivity by Mike Oldfield.
Good morning Peter and Martin! And if I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight! Great show as always! Thank you so much!
Just got my Sea of Tranquilty hoodie delivered and it is beautiful! Perfectly dize and so comfortable! Everyone buy one! Cheers from Canada!
Styx reforming with Dennis DeYoung in the mid 1990s
Kansas getting the original band together for the " Somewhere To Elsewhere " album in 2000
Always love those weather updates...
Also King Crimson in 1994. A reunited KC is not such an unusual thing - but this one was special for me because I had no prior knowledge of the band coming together. Just walked into our local HMV, and there it was on the wall - VROOM. And the best part - it was good!
I love Pete's frozen "trying to look interested" expression while Martin talks about the Stooges. Great to hear Perfect Strangers get love
Ozzy reunion with Black Sabbath for 13; DLR reunion with Van Halen for Different Kind Of Truth; Steve Perry returning to Journey for Trial By Fire; Santanasâ reunion for IV. The reunion of Aerosmith for Done With Mirrors.
And KISS reunion for Psycho Circus. Loverboy reunion for Business As Usual.
Duoâs reunion with Sabbath for Dehumanizer and the later Heaven And Hell group.
Ritchie Blackmore returning to Deep Purple for Perfect Strangers, House Of Blue Light and The Battle Rages On.
Great call on Europe. I didn't even know they were together and somehow stumbled on the the single War of Kings and I was blown away. Been a big fan ever since.
Great topic for a show loved it đđŸ
Good episode. I love The Stooges. Wish I could have seen them live. Thanks guys.
Glad Martin mentioned MSG!! My favorite group, since i saw them in Dec. 1980. Seen various line ups. Got all the CD's. Glad to see him still playing and better than ever. Still top notch band members.
Another great episode, loved the background story. The ones that sprang to mind were:
Billy Idol / Steve Stevens - Devilâs Playground (2005). Probably my favourite reunion album of all time & thankfully they stayed together ever since, releasing another album, last years EP and some great tours.
ZZ Top - Deguello (1979). Away for 3 years which was a long time in the 70s.
Aerosmith - Done with Mirrors (1985). Original line up cleans up, reforms & goes on to be one of the biggest bands in the world in the 80s & 90s.
Van Halen - A Different Kind of Truth (2012). DLR back in the band, & really good album.
Cold Chisel - No Plans (2012). 4 members of the classic line up deliver 3 really good albums over the last 10 years.
Honourable Mentions: Kiss original line up, Eagles, Police & Cheap Trick when Tom Petersson re-joined in 1987.
P
The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple and so .... Are great bands they can`t go wrong BIG NAMES
Thank you for that show. Pete and Martin
Saw Deep Purple at the Meadowlands in 84' being a big fan I was so excited and they didn't let me down. Another was the Doobie Brothers at Garden State Arts Center during the Cycles Tour.
Great show! Especially loved the mentions of Europe and Alice In Chains.
Great choice for day 7, Pete. I too bought this LP for its melodic sense.
I have Triumph's Never Surrender for day 7. Rik Emmett pumped a bunch of catchy riffs following up Allied Forces. Never Surrender and When the Lights Go Down were two great concert songs.
Mission of Burma, great run of albums starting in the mid 00s, after previously only releasing one EP and album in 81/82.
Original line-up of Dinosaur Jr, the 'Beyond' album was a great return in 2007 and they've been releasing quality albums since.
Carcass with Surgical Steel and last year's Torn Arteries.
Hereâs an idea for future topic: the concept of the Mason-Dixon Line for bands and musicians. What was the discography line in the sand where people stop paying attention or heep praise. And what are the reasons and is it fair. Case in point, Scorpions mason Dixon seems to largely be between love at first sting and savage amusement
Michael Schenker Group saw them in Germany 2015 at festival was great to see all the singers.
Mcauley voice is amazing on his solo stuff to these guys all in 60s plus and still got it.
Anthem reunion concert with the many singers might be my fave, that's pretty epic.
As a teenager All Right Now blew me away. I bought all of Free's albums and then they split up. I thought I would never see them but they got back together and did a farewell tour and I got hold of a ticket and went to see them at De Montfort Hall in Leicester. I was so amazed and was in awe for days afterwards. What a band.
Great episode Pete and Martin!! I have to agree with you Pete with your comment, while discussing the "new" version of Skynyrd, of the band taking on a completely different name their music wouldn't have been overlooked so completely.
Iâll add: Kiss (that first reunion tour was indeed exciting), Priest/Halford, Floyd at Live 8, Zep âCelebration Day,,â Sabbath w/Ozzy AND then Dio.
Saw the Dixie dregs a few years ago in South Jersey. Absolute perfection!
Another great show guys and thank you for showing the love for past and present SKYNYRD, I just don't get the people who won't listen to any of their albums after 77 as far as I'm concerned their discography stands up against any of their peers who are still around today.
ABWH in 1989. With Yes West and Asia plowing along at full speed, I really didn't see it coming. And, although I'm luke-warm on the album, there was something about those songs that felt more in-line with classic yes. I remember the promo video being cool (studio footage) and seeing the guys on MuchMusic (our local MTV) was fun. Hadn't seen Wakeman or Bruford in some time. And then the concert - which was fantastic! My best memory was watching the video for Brother of Mine with a buddy - who had no experience with Yes - and seeing his jaw drop at the site of Wakeman's rapid fire piano build that ends the track.
Indeed, that is a great comeback. I prefer the San Louis Obispo shows and Keys to Ascension in â97 - after Talk, we didnât think weâd ever hear stuff from Tales ever again. Truly a magic time. Jeez, how many reunions has Yes had?? đ
Reunions I witnessed Live: Yes (90125 Tour), Deep Purple (Perfect Strangers, TBRo-if we consider that a re-reunion of the MKII), Thin Lizzy w/ Sykes (talking about reuniting without THE key member), Kiss in 95, The Cult in 95 and somewhere in early OO's, King Crimson (around the Thrak period), Page/Plant, Destruction (in 2006), Queen + Adam Lambert (is it a reunion? Is it Queen?), Fleetwood Mac w/ Nicks & Buckingham in the 10's, Whitesnake in 2009 (the previous tour was after all a farewell tour...), ...so many good memories. Thnx for the reunions!
Really cool show guys!!! Love all the picks and are pretty worthy for the topic
My picks (most of these are metal but maybe some rock picks here and there) in no particular order
Carcass-surgical steel
Coroner (arguably the best band I have seen live). Were inactive for about 20 years breathtaking to see that they are still brilliant at their instruments
Heathen-evolution of chaos (one of the best metal reunion albums of all time)
Exodus-tempo of the damned ( again one of the best reunion albums along with heathen and carcass)
Judas priest-angel of retribution (priest with rob halford back. Really good album)
At the gates at war with reality (classic atg lineup that lasted only with one album after the reunion since Anders left. Phenomenal album)
Celtic frost- monotheist (an absolute spine crusher. Returning after years of absence with arguably the heaviest album of your career is one of the coolest things one can do)
Gorguts-coloured sands (masterpiece of an album with a fantastic concept)
Solitude aeturnus-alone (their best)
The first band that came to mind was Led Zeppelin's O2 show in 2007. I wasn't a fan at the time but, I even then I knew it was a big deal. And The Police's reunion tour. I was a Police fan at the time but, I didn't have the money to see them. A friend of mine, who is also a fan, went and she enjoyed the show. Again guys, stunning omissions from both of you!
I think the Led Zeppelin show in 2007 in hindsight was more a farewell show than a proper reunion, we have to admit that at this stage.
Someone else mentioned Page & Plant reuniting in the mid 1990s. I would have liked to have seen a full Led Zeppelin reunion in the 1990s, JPJ joining them too with Jason Bonham on drums- doing new original material.
@@jimmycampbell78 Trust me, I know. They were recently together to promote a documentary that was done about them. Before that, it was in 2012 for The Kennedy Center Honors w/President Obama. Anyway, I'm one of those Zeppelin fans who tells the others to take a chill pill when they get pissed off about the Page/Plant reunion. Trust me, I'm totally steeped in realityđ
My bucket list of bands to see live has Europe at the top. They've become one of my favorite bands since their comeback. Also, I hope we get some new material from them sooner than later.
I found out just yesterday that a band that I'e always liked released their first album in almost 32 years. The band is called The Rave-Ups. They're a sort of americana, heartland rock band that I've never stopped listening to. When I ordered the new one I was given a digital copy and it's maybe their best record! Great stuff that has made me a very happy boy. Thanks for the video, guys!
Thank you Martin. I love 9.
Love the Southern Rock bands! But since I live in Sweden it hasn't been easy to see these bands live. Not the original line-ups anyways. So therefore I was thriled to see Skynyrd in Karlshamn back in 96, with Leon, Hughie, Billy rest their souls! Great gig it was to! Since then Išve seen Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot and The Outlaws, happily to say! My only sorrow is that I never got to see The Allman Brothers or Gregg/Dickie solo. But the records give me som sort of comfort, i guess ;-)
Porcupine Tree, new album and tour dates announced! Great band back together again!
Mike Watt name drop! God bless you Mr.Popoff!
Van der Graaf Generator. Their reunion concert in 2005, unbelievable,
1996 I was happy to see Kiss back together again. I saw them in Orlando.
I think it was 99. When Bruce and Adrian came back to Iron Maiden!! My life was complete again
In 1986 my friends and i saw the gregg allman band and the dickey betts in concert. after both bands plays they got together for an ABB reunion. this was before the official reunion. BTW the marshall tucker band opened. also i saw grand funk railroad reunite in 1981 but without mel. then we saw the 3 original members in 1996. All great shows.
Iâm from Saskatchewan. Iâm praying for -11. It was colder than -40 with wind chill here this week. Thatâs -40 Fahrenheit as well. That temperature is when Celsius and Fahrenheit meet.
The Velvet Underground reunion had every potential of being an abject failure. And then...it was pretty freakin' great. Like, really really great. Getting to see Maureen Tucker do her thing after all those years was a dream come true, and man did she bring it! Everyone did.
Forgot one. Dire Straits headlining the. Mandela Concert in 88. Mark said that concert was the reason he got the band back together. And Eric Clapton with them as guest guitarist
Allmans almost by far the greatest reunion of all time for a classic rock band. Warren and Woody gave such a spark to the band. I saw the Crackdown ON Crack show at MSG in 1986, and then numerous times on the glorious second reunion.
Dregs for sure Thanks for the reminder Pete. Saw them in I believe 1988 for the reunion of Morse, Lavitz, Slone, Morgenstein
AIC good call Martin
If I may both Grateful Dead W/ Jerry and Phish took breaks and reformed arguably Better than before. At the very least went strong for many years after the reunion/hiatus Dead - 4 keyboard member changes, and took off most of 1975 came back strong to continue 76-95. I personally do not consider the last 3 years STRONG but many great shows in there. Phish took off 5 years 2004- 2009 and are still crushing shows city to city in arenas and stadiums.
Pete and Martin, here's an idea for a future show: what are your top 5 songs that fade out at the end (as opposed to a hard stop)? Some random examples of rock songs that fade out at the end include "Born to be Wild", "Crazy Train", "Holy Diver", "I've Seen All Good People", "Red Barchetta", and "Tom Sawyer". What are your top five?
Against The Wind
I'm still running
See the young man runnin' đ¶
Skynyrd has delievered several awesome albums since the reunion. One of my favorite bands.
Deep Purple was the first one I thought of. Still one of the best concerts I've seen.
So glad you picked up Europe here!! Its one of my favorite bands of al time! Even if IÂŽm Swedish but they are really great. And like you said about the Greatness of thier new records after the comeback its a Thunderstike,. Some peeple that I meet just talk about Europe of the 80s, so great and Big they were., with the look and the sounds of that time., But donÂŽt really have lissen to the new stuff., I I can say : I am a Big fan of the 80s hair metal bands and Europe of that time, the records " Final Countdown" Out of this World " Prissoners in Paradise " But i prefer the new stuff better., ) I have fallowed the since the comeback in 2004 and brought every record sence and like you say : Its a kILLER! WHAT A Sound,. what a style., its more heavier, darker, cooler and deeper. You here their inspitaions from the 70s bands like Deep Purple, Thin Lizzi and UFO. : We dont have so many bands like sounds like this today so thats why they are unice! * * Rock n roll. // Henrik from Sweden.
Saw purple at knebworth on that tour love the videos with you two
Magnum in 2002 was THE reunion for me. Started listening to them in 98 (due to Bob Catley's first solo album produced by Gary Hughes of Ten) been a huge fan since then đșđ€
