Hi everyone!
For today's video, I'm super excited to finally play with the new Pat McGrath Labs Mothership VIII Divine Rose II (that's going to be a long video, but I listed time stamps down below for you)!
I'm going to create 3 looks, do live swatches and compare the shades to my other PMGLabs palettes and also the Natasha Denona Lila and Sunset palettes. I will also suggest some good pairing while swatching.

I totally agree that it should have been released in the pink metallic packaging only. So many people were left out of the experience and it's a shame. It was my first purchase from her website and I found it quite stressful, not enjoyable at all, I didn't get the pink either ,but I think that I would have, had my mailing info been correct. Totally my mistake. Their customer service was really helpful and quick to respond and fix the problems I had. I love the look you created! Thank you! Enjoy your collection!
I was unable to order the LE edition where as my friends who were online at the same time were able to put their orders through without a hitch we are all UK based.
I ended up ordering the black packaging instead
The code wouldn't work either at the time of ordering.
My pallet arrived day before yesterday and I was surprised to see it was in the limited edition packaging.
I went back and recheck my order and it was definitely for the original packaging.
Happy that I got the pallet....hope it wasn't someone else's order.
If it makes you feel any better, I was up at 5.30 AM, waiting early to order the pink version, and I still missed out.

🙌🙌🙌🙌 SOOO exciting! Mine arrived last week, and I have to say it is a total masterpiece. Easily the best mothership palette out of 5 I own. Same experience for me. I was up at 5.30 am trying to buy it in pink version, sold out! I have no idea how that was even possible. I own it in the black version instead. I total agree, it should have been made in the pink version only since it is a LE. At least I own it which doesn’t take away from the eyeshadows themselves. I use the bright pink color (Rose addiction) as a blush, and it is a killer blush.
Yes I've been waiting and waiting for your video!!! I used my Palette for the very first time today and OMG it's so awesome 🥰 Everything blends like a dream and the shimmers are STUNNING 😍 this Palette is totally worth every cent!!!

Happy Birthday! I LOVE that palette and the looks you created are stunning! You look so exotic! I know why they only give you one of the shadows - so you will be counting the days until the next one and everyone has written to her to create more (and you won't mind paying her prices, but they are worth it).
I seen someone do look with Rose transition shade than bright Rose all over lid and put that gold in middle!, it was beautiful
I love your lighting se-up.. It is natural except for the ring light but it still shows your actual skin and the actual color of the eyeshadow. Love it!

If you’re sitting on the fence on this one, I would say buy it, if you can. It is a Limited Edition palette and easily, in my humble opinion, THE BEST MOTHERSHIP PALETTE she ever made, hands down. There is no comparison, in its beauty, to that of Rose Divine I either.
She’ll bring it back. Hopefully, she’ll make enough limited edition packaging.

I love how you used eyeshadow as blush and highlight, I do that ALL the time and I love it... I suggest you try a satin shade for blush next time I promise it's gorgeous

You could return one of the pallets even if it’s from the bundle. I would keep it though as a collective piece since it’s limited. You could also donate or sell your original divine rose 1.
That’s funny because the same thing happened to me they wanted me to buy both of them in order to get the rose gold pallet but I wasn’t expecting that to happen so I didn’t have enough money on my debit card to get both or I would have so bottom line I got the black box

Just got mine today! It’s beautiful I ordered on the restock Friday the 12th and I received it today I’m so excited lol it’s the fastest shipment I’ve ever got.. I got it within 6 days of placing my order! Lol anyway it’s beautiful and I can’t wait to use it tomorrow! 🥰

Beautiful review & looks💞💞💞💞Thank you for all the swatches too! I don't know if anyone else thought of this, but I kept thinking about some colors from TF Chocolate Gold palette, specifically New Money, Classy & Sassy, Old Money, Love & Cocoa, Rich Girl & lastly, Chocolate Gold itself (the yellow gold at top of the palette).
Also, Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered, shades Pink Diamond, 24K, Moon Dust, Trust Fund & Rose Gold shade itself.
I adore Pat McGrath, and I have the funds to purchase the products, but I can't bring myself to buy it. If she had restock the rose gold packaging, I would've bought it in a heart beat. But its the regular packaging, with colors that I do have, except for Sextraterestrial. I can't justify $180 CAD for 1 color. I'm going to hold out in hopes she re-stocks at a later date the gorgeous rose gold packaging.

I was working at the hospital during the launch and I had to wait til I got off at 0730 before I could order so I missed out on the pink packaging. But I still love it!!

You have lovely big eyes, everything looks good on you. You should have dabbed a little bit of gold list on top in the center of that last “pink look.” I actually think that would have been a very pretty use of that gold. And it would have muted it a bit. I was hoping you were going to do that, but oh well…

I missed the launch time by a few minutes, but got the rose gold palette in my cart, then when I clicked to pay it said it was no longer available. I went back to get the black one, and when I clicked to put it in my cart but got the little swirly icon and when it stopped I didn't see the "1" showing in my cart icon, so I clicked again - well, ends up that after I paid I noticed I had paid for two of them. Have to return the 2nd one, but just a minor annoyance, I guess. 😁 A few years ago that would have devastated my bank account and been a huge deal!! But I would never have bought such expensive makeup back then, either. Oh, and I was so flustered I forgot to enter the discount code. 🙄

🤣 Il m’est arrivé exactement la même chose le code promo n’a pas fonctionné sur l’édition limitée !!! j’ai payé la totalité sans réduction, tant pis je voulais cette édition. Le site indiquait une rupture de stock mais en insistant, en rafraîchissant la page qui moulinait en permanence, je l’ai quand même obtenue mais sans les 10 %. Vous avez raison, ce n’est pas une expérience très plaisante. Heureusement que vous êtes encore loin du terme de votre grossesse 😁😉

I'm wearing a different lip combo for each look. But I think the one you like might be the Divine Rose lip gloss (I usually mention what I'm wearing on my lips in the part I show you the finished look)😉
I wanted the pink packaging one, it bad experience I had I got it and them got an email it was canceled out of stock!!!! and it’s a shame a lot of people got it only to make business I se a lot on postmark and eBay, it should’ve been pink packaging only

Quick question, are there any eyeshadow formulas, in your opinion,other than maybe Natasha Denona, that are on par with PML? I'd love to know your thoughts.
Depending on the finish... if you are looking for the sparkly shades... a lot of people compare those to the single Urban Decay ones... still think these are better though... I haven't tried the indie brand JD Glow, but they look like a good competition! Love the Hourglass Scattered Light glitter single eye shadows!
I had good experiences with ABH for metallic shades... Nars has been a bit inconsistent but the Wanted palette and Ignited ones are gorgeous.
Buxom singles are surprisingly good.
For the mattes, ND of course, but sometimes I also had really good pigmentation with Colourpop! (big gap in the price I know).
Looking forward to see more tri chromes shades from her. A ship and really good alternative for duo chromes and tri chromes or sparkly shadows are the Yes Please! Sugar singles from Focallure.
