Seeing Snake followed directly by Everyone is Here is one of the most incredible moments in my gaming career.
The "Everyone is Here" is definitely what broke me.
When I was watching it live I freaked out so much over Snake that I actually completely missed the "everyone is here!", so I had advanced freakouts when I saw Pichu, Young Link, and Wolf.
The Everyone is Here made me happy, and then immediately seeing Pichu broke me. That's when I knew they weren't kidding.

I’ve been playing smash regularly for only a year but I reacted pretty much the same way
I don't even play Smash and I was getting emotional. It's just that meaningful to people and you can feel that. I know I was crying my eyes out when they announced Spyro Reignited, and Spyro definded a huge part of who I am.
So no, this isn't overreacting, it's somebody having the time of their life with something they love.
+LadyRhin Exactly. I cried too seeing Spyro getting its own trilogy remaster. I love Spyro & Cynder so much. I need them to come back. Day ZERO for Spyro Reignited for my Switch. I will have the Crash trilogy & Spyro first trilogy physical copies and have them stand together just like they did when I was a kid. Hopefully Switch is getting the game the same day as the other consoles. Considering the fact that Nintendo UK put up their own pre-order page for the game, I don't have much worries about it.
This new Smash game is exactly what I have desperately wanted. I am so happy with all of it and the changes made to the competetive side. Day ZERO for that game too.

Its just smash bros dude, you fanboys saw it coming since March of this year.
Base of what I've seen through out this conferences all of these other companies have these amazing line-ups and don't use the "well we can play the games on the other console" because that's what most are arguing with Microsoft, it matters that they showed the games at their own conferences. Even though Microsoft had one of the best line-ups at e3 this year: DMC, Cuphead, Jump Force, Halo infinite, Fallout, Cyberpunk etc. The problem with Sony's conference was that the good shit happen at the end, but even still there variety at their e3: Tsushima, Death stranding, more Kingdom hearts footage with new mods, Resident evil 2 remake, Spiderman.
Nintendo wasn't downright terrible, it was just kind of underwhelming. Now of course Nintendo has more show off this year no doubt, but it terms of E3 im not going to give Nintendo the "W" just because of Smash. The game looks great, but with no news on other titles and keeping it hidden. Nintendo's e3 felt lackluster and its put in 3rd place overall.

Almost five years later but the quick triple punch of revealing Snake (the only third party guest character not in Smash 4), throwing the EVERYONE tagline (making people imagine what past characters might look like), and reinforcing it with Pichu (one of the seemingly abandoned characters not seen since Melee) completely made the tone of this reveal
This video radiates hype. Every time I watch it i cant help but cry along with him. This was the greatest reveal for this game ever possibly the greatest gaming reveal ever.

I wasn't really into Super Smash Bros before Ultimate, fighting games wasn't my cup of team, you are one of the reason for playing this game since the release, you made me realised the hype in this announcement and how good it fucking was, the "lore" behind this series, and I really saw the inner child in you in harmony with the adult, being so exited, the "this is every area in my life put together" line is so hard man !!

OMG they actually brought back all of the fighters to the brand new Super Smash Bros Switch game! They even added brand new fighters to the game! I can’t believe it, this is absolutely amazing! It finally happened! The brand new Super Smash Bros trailer is amazing! I was crying tears of joy while hugging my Pikachu and Eevee plushies as I watched this live stream. Super Smash Bros is the # one best Switch game ever created by the Nintendo Company and this has been the # one best year of 2018! Nintendo really touched my heart this year! I absolutely can’t wait to play the brand new Super Smash Bros Switch game when it comes out this December!

I was sitting in the office and one of our walls is a giant glass wall. Our guest can see us inside. All the while I was watching the live direct among my gamer buddies. We where freaking out lol. It made our guest smile watching us smile even though they did not know why. It was the best.
