I grew up in West Virginia and had prime rock crawling and exploration territory in my back yard out in the middle of nowhere. I took my 90 and 110s in the most extreme places and they never once let me down. That dual transmission switch made them a beast if they needed to be and really solved any shortcomings about it. I managed to fit a full tent, supplies and a fishing rod tied on with the rod looped through the spare fuel canister lock. I loved and miss my 110. Durable off roaders.
Honda needs to start listening to me. Put the FI 125 engine from the Grom in this chassis and sell it for the same price. I would order one right now.
And Yamaha to me.....I say put a sub-transmission (for the low range like the T110) in the TW200 ;-)
If Yamaha listened to me, they would put the XT350 engine in the TW
Jimo368 Too heavy. Think Gas Gas Randonne. 250cc and the same weight as a CT 110!
Loved my trail 110, wish I hadn't sold it now!! An Excellent bike!!
Considering many 'newer' folks choice in clothing, piercings and tattoos, I think ugly is already 'in' ;-)
Love I learned to ride on a Trail 90 back in the early 70s great bikes.
Oh believe me....I know how much work goes into doing what you do! But that doesn't deter me...I'd still love it!
I couldn't agree more with you on that one.
Postie bikes are heaps fun
Yeah, Love Hondas but really struggle with that BIGger Red ;-)
In Japan, Honda just released the 2013 Honda Cross Cub 110. A touring/trail bike based on the Honda Super Cub 110. BUT, Honda won't sell it in the USA. Go figure.
Honda CT 110 Are Brilliant Little Motorcycles Granddad's Mate Had One, Me & My Old Man Had Go on it Think I was Age 8 44KG'S He was 85KG'S Where driving up wee Hill It NEVER Died on US
my one was a 1984, they still build these new, used as postal service bigs in NZ and Australia, great bikes, true legendary model, i didn't see the whole review was it the two range transmission??
Yes, I saw pictures....Asked the Honda rep about just getting one over here to test - NO ;-(
honda still going as always!!
I want to come and hang out with you for a while Doug!!
bulletproof!!!
Yeap. All US 110s were dual range except for the 1980 when they made a mistake ;-)
How long will it be until you get your hands on the new Honda Pioneer? It'd be great to see how the Teryx 4 and RZR 4 all stack up against one another!
Where is this Low & Slow Trail Explorers Test videos? its been over a year? are you still going to do this? i would love to see it!!!!
Unfortunately the manufactures backed out.....
ATVTVCOM why do you need them? dont you already own the 110?
Stefan Barycki I own the 110 but none of the newer machines to compare it to.
Ouch, awfully hard on the Pioneer. ;-) any details on upcoming 2013 machines you'll have for a long term review?
Most people just slap me when I complain that this is actually work ;-)
Ever do any trail riding on a Rokon?
Is that due to the roll cage on the Pioneer? I know the cages on the RZR are not your cup of tea, I'd imagine you really dislike the Pioneers.
love the ct110 neat and easy bike to work on. Have a look at my project 1974 honda ct70 part 1
No. They were on our contact list for a test unit but don't seem willing....
Seems like to me that they fall behind in the category of UTV, just by first looks the Pioneer is a few years behind before it hits the showroom floor. I guess it would be a perfect fit if ugly was in style. ;-)
;-) But it's not all fun and games!
;-)
We have a code that we don't test anything that ugly ;-)
Kinda ugly in every department ;-)
