- Witham MP Priti Patel, recently, urged Minister's to scrap the protections that vile Foreign National Offenders like Yaqub Ahmed receive in the UK. Victims and the British people deserve better.

This is a serious matter, if we are paying the legal fees for illegal migrants or foreign sex offenders to basically fight against our own legal system, ignoring the safety of women and children it's against our human rights, this must be stopped

Lawyers are to blame, they get paid whatever the outcome of a trial. It’s disgusting that tax payers have to foot the bill for these criminals and yet our own service veterans are left on their own , either neglected or homeless. We are being pushed to breaking point and the government need to listen to the people that put them in power not what their corporate masters tell them. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍
They should be funding their own cases. If they can pay people smugglers thousands then they can foot their own legal aid bill.

In that case you should look elsewhere. You cannot expect to fix the problem by those who caused the first place. The government dodgy deals cost 100 billions and if you see how much they earn in the parliament + claiming expenses & having side jobs, and more, than you can see that the wasted money, not some pity cash they spend on legal aid. Bare in mind, not every immigrant is a criminal, even if you like wash together!

Criminal lawyers get paid a set rate set out by the government. Don’t look up the rates of senior barristers, they are few. Look up the rates of solicitors and barristers that do the grunt work and, especially barristers who sometimes have to travel hundreds of miles a day getting from one court to another in their circuit.
I was in the military and I was alright. Doesn’t mean everyone is but bad planning doesn’t help. Lack of housing (government could do something about this), many married quarters are now gone. Sold by the government. Councils do give priority to service personnel. Don’t just listen to the voices that you choose to hear. Research and listen to alternatives.
Shame the Conservatives have only been in power since 2010. 14 years is not enough to start debating this issue.

However, this lady had some time to look at this and other things, when she was "Secretary of State"........it is rather shallow of her to be giving advice now, when she did virtually nothing to alleviate any of the problems surrounding immigration during her time in the "hot seat".

Going for easy sound bites. The real issue is legal migration and allowing so many to gain asylum. We need to put a complete stop to it. Train our own people and pay decent wages. If the government had the guts to stop all migration immediately, things would sort themselves out here within months. Simple supply and demand would resolve the work force issue and billions saved on welfare payments. It ain't hard. Self employed business owner for 40 years.
