I don't think they will ever get the credit they deserve. Alter Bridge have more epics in a single album than many bands write over their entire career. Myles easily belongs on the list of greatest rock vocalists of all time and both Mark and Myles are some of the best guitarists working today. Phenomenal band.

Most people associate the lyrics with the current US elections,but if you think about it,the lyrics can be applied to every country.People all over the world,are desilusioned and fed up,with their politicians and are longing for somebody,to lead them out of the crisis and into a better future,but at the same time,we're all numb and frustrated from all the broken promises of the past.And the most amazing thing is,how they managed to take this serious subject and make such a catchy song out of it,not to mention the great musicianship.
Sadly,we live in an age,where good songwriting and musicianship,isn't apreciated in mainstream music anymore.25-30 years ago,this band would have been filling arenas and be played on the radio every day.*sigh*
+JTheGuitarPlayer Eh the internet didn't killed good rock music or good music in general.On the contrary,the internet gives acts like AB the means to create their music and promote their work,without having to sell their souls to a major label.
AB are an independant band,for those who don't know,they own their own label(Fret 12),runned by Tremonti's brother.They only sign distribution deals with big labels,like Roadrunner or Napalm Records.They did this after their first label fired them,because they didn't want to fire Myles and do a Creed reunion,so they went indie.And it worked.Same with other artists like Plini,Richie Kotzen or Joe Bonamassa,who are also independant from a major label.
The problem are still the major labels,who a).are still operating like it's 1986 and b).aren't interested in ''building up'',talentented new acts.They just want to make a quick buck and have flooded the market with crappy plastic music.
But there's hope.People are more and more fed up with mainstream radio and tv and go online(youtube,spotify,deezer etc.) to listen to their music and discover new acts.That's why quality acts like AB,Plini,Bonamassa,R.Kotzen etc. get more and more recognition.

+JTheGuitarPlayer The biggest problem with todays major labels and with Hollywood studios,is that they're runned by accountants who have no clue about music or filmaking.They do business analytics:this type of artist will be selling this much,on a certain demographic.
There would be no chance,that a major label would sign,invest and promote an artist like Hendrix,Prince or D.Bowie nowadays,because they don't fit into one of their business plans.
Same thing with movies,George Lucas said recently in an interview,if he was trying to get Star Wars or Indiana Jones made,today for the first time,no studio would finance these movies.

This song & video is so relevant atm. Have loved these guys since 2004. I never get tired of listening to them. No fillers on any of the albums, just killers. All four of these men + Michael "Elvis" Baskette & Paul Geary/management team deserve a massive thumbs up for sharing such powerful emotion evoking music to the world.
I wonder why people complained that this song sounded like slash and myles kennedy in the lyric video, because it doesn't. This is a fucking amazing song and music video I'm looking forward to the rest of the album. 🤘🏼

Tremonti is probably one of the best guitar legends out there, it's such a shame he isn't out there more, more people need to hear about him. He's up there with the likes of Prince.

I keep coming back for the solo! These guys have a knack for timing solos just right in their songs and Mark has a knack for playing them amazingly and making sure they end up tying into the song perfectly too!
I've always been a huge Tremonti fan since Creed started. I liked a few Creed songs but since they became Alter Bridge they have been pretty consistent with good stuff. I would also like to note I am late on some of these vids but I didn't know Myles Kennedy was as badass on guitar as he apparently is. This song is amazing
