I grew up in that junkyard that is in my hometown
You couldn't ask for a better place to grow up.
Thank you Sir!
You're welcome! Thank you, buddy!
Great Video Mr. Tony - It is neat to see that you were looking for parts for your beautiful new station wagon! We cannot wait to see that car once you are finished. Roseann and Dan
Great vid......and lets get those parts from that 73 Merc. I agree....lets do it!
I'll grab all of it the next time I'm over there.
Cordova probably sat new on the dealers showroom floor. When it was new, imagine that strong new car smell? Love The Cordovas , Thank you, Tony
I should have stripped that car myself the first time I saw it.
A junkyard is cheap entertainment for many guys. A couple bucks entry fee, a baloney sandwich with a soda and you're good for the day. A friend of mine taught me a trick for staying warm on those all day winter trips. When your feet and hands get so cold, they hurt, eat chocolate. A pocket full of "fun size" Mars or Mounds chocolate bars, enjoyed medicinally, will keep you "stoked up", until the sun goes down. 😀😀😁
Now I have to pack chocolate! These guys don't even charge an entry fee. They may have to when it becomes a tourist destination through my video's! 🤣
The Buick you looked was a Buick sky hawk a friend of mine in high school had it converted to a v-8
Someone else said you could get a V8 in one. Now, that should carry it right down the road!
Adventures with Tony, its like you are giving an in-person tour. Thank you!
Thanks, Big M! I think there's still a lot of videos in that junkyard.
Thanks for the tour Tony.
You're welcome, Mike! Thank you!
big block Caprice wagon at the 23 minute mark...dang
I'm definitely going back after the jump seats in the 72 Ford wagon.
will definitely wait to see where this yard is, would love to make it to source parts from 65-70 chevy wagons @@tonyscarcare5657
The orange Chevy Monza was Buicks rendition called the Skyhawk.
Yes, sir. I couple have mentioned that. I had no idea.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Huge fan here from West Tennessee!
Thanks, buddy! I really do appreciate you all.
cool
Thanks, buddy!
That orange car looks to be a '78 or so Buick Skyhawk.
That's what someone else mentioned. I had no idea.
The 1970 Buick Riviera in the background looks cool
I missed that one. I really get turned around in there, trying to stay focused and not trip over something at the same time.
Orange car must be a Skyhawk. The Buick version of the Monza
Well, I think I called it a Monza at first. I was shocked to see Buick on the steering wheel.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Yes you did. They are basically the same car. I am surprised more of these were not made into hotrods. Some came with a V8 so they were already set up for a good stout engine. And they are aerodynamic and light weight.
Wow! I never would have guessed it had an optional V8!
Tony, I'm kind of late watching this interesting video . Just an idea for finding the code for hydro boost brakes. Could you contact Kevin Marti and get the code being as you are a regular customer?
I'm envious of you having good junk yards in your area, we don't have any good ones near us in southeast Michigan . I have junk yarded in West Frankfurt, Illinois back around 1983. I also used to go to the yards in south east Ohio where I'm originally from. I love junkyards.
Jim
Thank you! I've actually talked to Marti until I am blue in the face. The report for my wagon doesn't list it as coming with hydroboost and rear disc brakes. They don't care to look into it any farther. I do not believe that all of that was added at some point after it was built.
Hi Tony. It is a Buick Skyhawk. Btw. Can you please check out the alloy wheels on the 1979-83 Cadillac Eldorado and Seville for me please. 👍
Thanks, Mark. I haven't forgotten to do that.
@@tonyscarcare5657 Thanks 👍
You're welcome!
🏁 Tony that was an awesome video of the cars, must be acres acres unbelievable find!! I was just wondering if you ever come across 86 through 92 crown Vic LTD looking for a rear stabilizer bar for the lower trailering arms in the rear. Again thank you for the video! 🇺🇲🏁🏁🏁😎🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
I still see those cars in the junkyards around St. Louis that I can get under. Most of these cars have been in the ground for so many years that everything it too rusty to get off. I'll try to remember to look. Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
@@tonyscarcare5657 thank you very much for responding Tony I appreciate that!! 🇺🇲🏁🏁😎🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
You're welcome.
Tony, I had no idea they had rear disc brakes on these wagons.
I saw a TV commercial for the Ford Granada, where it said they offered four wheel brakes optional, I think other Ford products had four-wheel brakes like Lincoln, particularly the Mark 5 and the Versailles might’ve come standard with them,
It's fairly common on wagons. The comment below is correct about the other Ford products having them.
That is definitely correct!
I had a 78 LTD with the ugly faded green paint that was so common. To my surprise it was ordered with a 460 and a 9 inch rear end with disc brakes. A hot rod buddy of mine was glad to get that rear end.
I believe most all of them had a 9" rear. I had a 77 with a 460 once. It was the light Jade Green Glow that faded. I actually love that color, which you'll see in an upcoming video.
Happen to see any 61-64 B body Buick, Olds Pontiac convertible stuff?
I personally have not noticed any of those. Go back and look at the previous videos, and stay tuned for more. I'll try to remember to ask the owners. Before long, I'll let everyone know where this place is so everyone can plan a trip.
@@tonyscarcare5657 yeah I’ve watched all your videos. Appreciate you 🙏
Thank you very much! I appreciate all of you!
Buick Skyhawk or chickenhawk or whatever?
🤣😂🤣😂
What about the power seat tracks on the LTD?
Which LTD? I don't remember a power seat. I usually grab that stuff if it's good. Most of the floors are rusted into the ground.
The Country Squire which you pulled the doors off
Oh. Yeah, that thing is sitting in the ground now.
