I hate the story, the characters, and the Terastalizing is the worst and most ridiculous mechanic of Pokemon history EVER. Scarlet and Violet is still, even after the DLC, mediocre and pathetic, worst gen of all time. I mean it.

I got so lucky because I cheesed it so much, I got the olive over the big wall at the very start and then got it into the basket, all within 90 seconds 😅

A tip for the olive roll minigame, bring the olive at the start right next to the fence and do a high jump with your ride pokemon. With a bit of luck it will land in the area with the basket. Then repeat this next to the red basket. Huge time and sanity save
Yeah that’s how I did it too. Managed to beat it in a little over 30 sec is I recall it correctly
I figured this out in my 1st attemp and got a 2min time in the second.
Wish I knew this when I was struggling days ago. Hopefully this helps other people not to suffer.
Did this and beat the mini game at 1:36. The official just said to roll that silly olive to the basket anyway
did this and got a run it almost went right in to the basket landing next to it, i think my fastest time overall was 18 seconds because damn im an addict for stuff like that
Reminder that all outbreaks now spawn the correct forms. Yellow Tatsugiri on the map now also means Yellow Tatsugiri outbreak, unlike before where it would default to the Orange one.
Noooo, this bug made my shiny white Tatsugiri rarer. ;)
Note: they are not orange, red and yellow forms. They are actually the Curly, Stretchy, and Droopy forms.

Poltchageist was one of the most painful shiny hunts for me. I found an outbreak, knocked down 60, used a grass encounter and shiny power sandwich, and only found the shiny by accidentally running into one, not to mention of how much eye pain it is looking at a little spot to see if it's green.
Since I already had an outbreak of them, I made a Ghost sandwich with sparkling, title, and humungo power instead to make them easier to see.
I decided to shiny hunt it day one while no one knew what the shiny looked like… I expected it to be gold or something and only ended up finding it because I was randomly throwing out my Pokémon at the Poltchageist. I have a feeling i probably missed a couple of shinys…
I helped out a friend of mine with his shiny living dex, so I got 4 poltchageist: one for me, one for another friend and 2 for my shiny living dex friend. My eyes never recovered from that.
It was SO painful for me too 😪 I'm still traumatized by it tbh. I also got the artisan outbreak for it, knocked out 60 and used a sandwich. I made like TEN PLUS SANDWICHES I kid you not. I spent days trying to get this damn green cup thing and lost my sanity. I had to take a break from hunting it, it was that bad for me. Looking back I probably missed a lot of shiny Poltchageists and just never saw them. I thought it'd be somewhat noticeable but not really. I finally got one but my god it took forever. Seems like I'm not the only one since many other people spent a long time trying to get one. Idk what's up with this Pokémon but it seems to be one of the most impossible shinies to get. Not really but you know what I mean
A useful tip: once you have the outbreak and have defeated 60 of them, you actually don't need an Encounter power sandwich, because this may cause other Pokémon to show up that aren't part of the outbreak and so don't have their shiny rates boosted. Instead, use a Humongo power sandwich, making the Pokémon in the outbreak bigger and easier to see! With the bonus chance of possibly getting a size mark, you shouldn't pass the opportunity if you're gonna make a sandwich anyway.
I do the same thing. :) Still haven’t managed to get a shiny big enough for the size mark, though.

@@Jay7707 They need to delay the game then. I remember when pokemon games released on time and finished, Hell I remember when day 1 patches didn't exist. Gamefreak has ZERO excuse for any of their recent games, which is why I will be buying, playing, and streaming PalWorld day 1.
The music selector when in camera mode is actually there so when you catch a pokemon and send it out it does a different thing depending on the music.
The battle music is it's fighting animation.
The heroic music is their happy animation and the lullaby music is their sleeping animation.
I hate that you don't get the shiny sound from Legends Arceus in Scarlet and Violet. I'm always on edge because I'm worried I'm missing a shiny :(

I think if you bought a game in e-shop is there more glitches because i have only 1 friend who bought online and he have many glitches
I have over 180 Hours, aside from crashes in the un-patched version, i never had any major glitches or crashes since. I always felt like that the people that do get insane glitches like seen in the clips online, which are always re-used btw, must have tampered with their switch or the game somehow... ocassional hiccups, yeah, sure, but some of those glitches i saw are so out there that i genuinly do not believe them to be true. The games are not perfect, not by any means but they really are not so horrendously buggy as people love to paint them as..
Yeah same the only glitch I found is the weird falling one where you keep falling in air, the one at 0:19, and one where part of my azumarill was white, which only happened at Montenevera. My Scarlet has never crashed.

one tip to speed this up for anyone struggling with this, if you pin the ball between you and a wall right at the start, and then do a jump at max height, you should be able to bounce the ball over the wall and to the other side SIGNIFICANTLY closer to the end basket. you can also do this at the end basket.
My first run on my violet save i restarted after the timer got to 2 minutes, but my second attempt i finished it in 30 seconds, exactly, no more no less lol.
My scarlet save took me a lot longer, like 10 minutes or so to finally get it with this trick, and the run i did it on took 49 seconds.
Just so that everyone is aware.....With this new update for the DLC, ALL forms of every single Pokemon have been updated for the outbreaks so that means you can actually now find specifically an Authentic Sinistea outbreak and an Artisan Poltchageist outbreak (They will show up on the map as ' ? ' if you haven't caught that form yet) so you can shiny hunt both of them easily along with others such as Tatsugiri, Basculin, Indeedee, the Flabebe line and many others
As a professional shiny hunter and a maxed OSRS player I thoroughly enjoy every video you make Nokimon. You bring two of my favorite games of all time together. Runescape and Pokemon, thank you!

Plus, if you plan it right i believe you can evolve it in Legends Arceus and keep it as a level 1 marked Snorlax. Idk if taking steps raises friendship in PLA, but if it does thatd be a cool trophy!
I mean, with the weird Friendship transferring that Switch Pokemon has you can literally just force feed it a ton of the Stat Berries to max its Friendship, send it to PLA and Evolve it there.

@@expo_pkmn again, “weird”. It does work like that in the Switch Era, and it’s only trading that resets friendship.
I have a Milotic I have had since Gen 6. I sent her to Sword, she had no friendship if I remember right. Eventually she had max friendship. Sent her to Shining Pearl. To my surprise, she still had max friendship, despite prior games auto resetting it.
This exact same thing happened with my Shiny Arceus. Sent it to Violet, maxed its friendship, sent it back to Shining Pearl, it retained Friendship. Friendship seems to now be a part of the Pokémon’s data structure.

The DLC removed the ability to remove the HUD from picture taking because now when you press A it removes the HUD, then takes the picture and brings the HUD back

I'm shocked that you had so many glitches in this game! I've never had the game crash on me or anything, yeah framedrops are a thing but I've never once experienced all these crazy graphical glitches everyone is talking about, I legit thought people were trolling
To me, it's wild that there are people who actually have their game running so well when mine is this bad! It seems it's luck of the draw whether you're hit with these issues a lot or not.
Same. I've never had an issue and I play on a switch lite. I guess it's luck of the draw if you get a janky game or not.
I'v had some minor glitches like the invisable walls or whatever but nothing too anoying and I just saved and reset and they wer gone. One glitch or something that comes up acasounaly is my ride pokemon is invisable. It still functions the same and makes the same sounds but I finde it actually funny I apear to be riding on thin air. Jumping in water undoes it like it was using invissable paint or something.@@hotpotatoeshotpotatoes6221

I admit I have never seen glitches like the ones in this video, the worst thing I have had is 2 soft locks in tera raids and the FPS problem everyone gets in specific locations

I didn't get many bad glitches, most of them were just characters and models disappearing. i did experience loads of frame drops though, especially in that fucking lagtree thicket.
Honestly I think the glitches I ran into in the base game were funny, I’ve had trainers stand still or just go tpose mode for a couple of seconds and it’s silly, however! It’s really annoying trying to find a specific pkm on the map and it not even being there until a few minutes later 😭
To be honest I feel like I got more out of this DLC than I did the base game. (Besides the amount of new Pokemon) The story and characters were much better than base game and I like how the battles are progressively more difficult.
Nah I liked the base game story better, this one was short and nothing really crazy, base game had mystery and plot twists and felt ambitious with the whole area zero (Even tho I wish we had more of it🤷🏾♂️) but this is just my opinion
Yeah, I liked the dlc a lot better. For some reason I found the environment and setting of kitakami more interesting then paldea (despite paldea being much larger.)
As well as the storyline. For me base game scarlet/violet's story wasn't interesting until the very end but the dlc's story was interesting the whole way through.

I think it’s pretty good. Before I even completed the main story I accidentally ran into a counterfeit shiny polchageist that was barely noticeable.

Ahh, man, I struggled with the olive roll minigame as well. I eventually managed to volley the olive over the fence and get a time of 56 seconds, but not before raging at multiple failed attempts to do it the "correct" way and somehow experiencing the "falling through floor" glitch. Lmao
The dlc unironically gave me the best shiny luck ever. I got shiny Nosepass, Noctowl, Gurdurr, Bombirdier, Shinx (of course), Ralts and Impidimp randomly in my playthrough. Funny enough the shinies I actually hunted (jangmo-o, phantump, and so on) all took me 4+ sandwiches
Same! I've only did a couple shiny hunts because I've had so much better luck just wandering around. Stumbled into shiny bonsly, bisharp, poochyena, starly and piloswine. And had great luck with the outbreaks too, got shiny charjabug, Mimikyu and mienfoo really quickly.
Aside from the low frame rate a lot of times and a couple bugs I'm very happy w the DLC.

The most annoying glitch I consistently face in this DLC is the Kitakami travel ban glitch. I sometimes cannot travel back from Paldea. If I do long Pokémon play sessions I swap the save file between the OLED/Lite while the other charges. I unintentionally discovered that if I get the travel glitch and I swap the save file from one console to the other, I can travel back to Kitakami.
If I got a nickel for every person I saw catching a Shiny Spoink as their first shiny in the DLC, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot. But it’s weird that it happened twice.
I don’t know what I sacrificed to the pokemon gods but I’ve never experienced a crash and only two freezes (both at the end of a raid). Only visual issues are frame rate and pokeballs in the middle of rooms (though I haven’t seen that in a while). I’m so thankful and feel bad for those who do have issues 💀

I also got both when i got that poltchageist outbreak! And one of them was during a rainy time of day so I got the rainy mark on it too. Pretty stoked! This dlc has been great so far.

I had an polchageist outbreak but I couldn't be bothered to look that close at every mon I really wish they would have added any indication that its shiny especially if the pokemon are so small

I’m not going to lie about the olive roll challenge, I nearly snapped my switch in half and I got a migraine so bad from my rising blood pressure that I am not aware of my supernatural abilities. Somehow, I don’t know, I managed to get a sub of 1 minute. I recall pushing the olive up a step onto the ramp facing the town and that’s the only “shortcut” I did. I will never touch it again but hey, the herba was a nice little reward for a night of pain killers.

i had the same story as you when it came to the olive rolling game, but instead of actually clearing it properly i somehow pushed the olive through the basket barely enough to hit the flag for clearing the game and got a time of like 2:28
For the olive roll table cloth… I did things my way. I cheated my way over the wall and somehow didn’t even get the olive into the basket, and still got it to count-
It was so funny when I started this DLC. On arrival, literally the first yanma that spawned where you can walk around was shiny. The new DLC welcomed me in with such a good shiny!!
I will definitely say freezes are very common, and I've even froze in the tera raids to where it just cant load outside the den so i have to restart.
Glitches and bugs aside, I love the pokemon added, and im excited for more content in the next DLC
Also for the olive roll, you can use your ride pokemon to push it over the walls towards the end over the inner walls. I got a time of 1:35 because of it lmao!

Never had any debilitating glitches or crashed while playing Teal Mask.
There was the occasional lag, but otherwise game performance seemed to have improved.
Don’t know why it seems like every streamer/ CZcamsr has these issues. Cause I and many others have had barely any. Maybe we’re just lucky.

I got the olive tablecloth on my second attempt. the first time I made the mistake of trying to use Miraidon the whole time, which was fine during the gym challenge but a pain in the ass in the tablecoth maze

my first shiny of the dlc was Ekans and i was so freakin excited to have that lil danger noodle pop up. Can't wait to make more time for the dlc for more of these other shiny guys

When I was playing, I ran into 3 shinies in the same day. Mine were Koffing, Ariados and Toedscool.

I gave up on certain aspects of the Olive Roll when I did my rematch run; essentially getting the olive above Miraidon’s head and pushing it over certain walls. Also launching it into the basket from the side rather using the slopes. All marginally more efficient and less brain-rotting imo
My hunt for Applin in Apple Hills was similar. I was hunting an outbreak, and Applin spawned on the ground as well as in the trees, and I kept getting faked out by the green leaves, and by Sewaddle on the ground. I ended up giving up after THREE DAYS and doing the Tagtree Thicket trick instead.

Just got my two shiny Artisan Poltchageist this morning. On top of that and Sinistea, all outbreaks will now correctly have the form of the outbreak occur within the outbreak rather than just the base form.

From what I've seen, relatively very few people encountered "severe" glitches that were not already part of base game, but those few tend to encounter multiple other glitches too and discuss them all at once, leading others to believe the DLC functions worse than base game (which is patently false in most cases). There are also people encountering base game glitches for the first time and thinking the DLC caused it (like the texture error, that's been around since release). In my experience, having replayed the DLC multiple times, the DLC not only functions better than pre-DLC base game, but the base game update released with the DLC improved base game too. Casseroya lake is actually playable now, too. I think a lot of people also don't realize handheld mode runs exponentially better than docked mode for whatever reason.

Lmao, that olive roll rematch is bippin' ridiculous. Took the better part of an hour & I probably never would have even finished at all if I hadn't eventually lucked into bumping the olive over the high fence & completely skipping all of the stairs. Even then, the last set was still panic-inducing (though I mistakenly thought it was because I only had 1:30 instead of 2:30 to work with, but with the way my brain [doesn't?] work, it still wouldn't have really been any easier or less stressful). Truly the dumbest, most pointlessly difficult challenge in all the Pokemon franchise. :d

I started looking for Pokemon first too, and not even five minutes in I found a shiny Vulpix. I would have missed it if it hadn't been the first Vulpix I found. A bit later I found a shiny Bonsly.
Before the DLC I found ine shiny in the whole game (not actively hunting right now) so this really made my day.

quick note about the munchlax if you complete hard not as a host you need to have normal unlocked already or you won’t get the munchlax. only when you unlock hard on your game can you receive the hard completion reward.
also to beat the olive roll just push it over the fence by jumping under it with your ride pokemon. takes literal seconds.

Me and a friend actually did outbreaks for the artisan forms, and I got 2 right after one another and named them Short and Stout. I wanna do the same with Sinistea so bad even tho it took ages, lol.

I got the shiny artisan form from an outbreak as well. I didnt bother straining my eyes though. After 60 i just saved and sent out my lets go mon. If it wiped out the whole outbreak i just reloaded till i got it. Took a little over an hour :)
Because of this video, I went shiny hunting for applin. I found 2 in the last 3 minutes of my sandwich and both were marked. Thanks Noki!
