I absolutely love this pattern! It works up so quickly! I decided to make some new ones for my family a week before Christmas which meant 6 in 7 days but I am just finishing the sixth tonight! I used a size 6 hook and worsted size 4 yarn instead but they are still a great size. Thank you!!

Lovely pattern & video tutorial is excellent Alexis - I have found over the past 4 decades working with yarn - that the colour has a big difference on the weight and thickness of the yarn, and darker colours Navy, Black etc . . are always thicker even in the same "Brand" due to the number of times the yarn goes through the dyeing process = the more passes the darker the colour! I have seen docos about this and had Factory tours when was young due to my training in Fashion & Costume Design, and the same is true for fabric - and is also the reason you are likely to have colour leakage with dark fabrics and yarn as well, regardless of the Colour "set " process, every single time you wash the garment - even several years later.

I loved this pattern! So easy to follow and the stocking turned out so so cute! I didn't have any bulky yarn on hand (and I'm trying to use up what I have before I buy more) so I just used two strands of normal yarn and it turned out so nice and thick and sturdy! Thanks for the easy and adorable pattern :)

These are awesome! I crochet mats for shelter cats cages. One of my local shelters is trying to raise money for their shelter this holiday season. I am going to make a few of these stockings, pack them full with stuff (kitty kick sticks I make etc) and donate them to the shelter for them to auction off! LOVE the items you make! Thank you

So on the heel with the slip stick on the side should I just skip over it when I turn? Because it isn’t included in the next stitch count

Absolutely love these stockings. I have already made a navy and white one for hubby, going to make red and white for my daughter and myself. Hers may need to be slightly larger. If I increase the shells in the body, I assume that I need to add an extra round in the toe, should I increase the heal width by 7 stitches as well?

Ok I’m having an issue with the counts. On row three if I have the correct count of 14 on row two then the pattern 1sc 2sc in each stitch for row three does not give me 21.
I’ve made 5 stockings for my family and now I would LOVE to make a matching tree skirt... if you ever create a shell stitch tree skirt please let me know!!

I am confused about your written pattern compared to your video pattern. One says to single crochet into the same stitch at the beginning of the row while your video says to single crochet in the next stitch. I was wondering why numbers were wrong.
Do you have this pattern in a mini stocking? I would love to do these for my students, but can’t so them so large.
This is probably five months to late but im currently using her pattern to make a stocking and if you use a smaller hook and yarn the stocking would end up being much smaller. Also here is the link to another youtube video that I've

Im having trouble with the heel! Lol Help!
I used a smaller yarn. So I added an extra round to the toe which gave me 8 scallops after that. No problem there, but what would I add to the heel to compensate?
If you added an extra row then it would make the stocking slightly wider. I would probably do what she did and lie it flat and stitch the heel from one end to the other and follow the instructions for the heel. You may have extra stitches to make which is fine. But it’s the general shape of the pattern you still want to make.

I used 2 skeins one color and 1 skein of white. I had a little left over of each color.
HELP! HELP! Love this pattern but I am really having lots of problems with the heel part on rows 8-12. Is there any one out there that can explain this to me.
I had a hard time with the heel myself so I went to the written pattern she has and I just took my time, read it VERY CAREFULLY and just followed the exact steps, one step at a time.
At first, itll look like a square but follow the steps and it'll round or curve and itll turn out right. Just go slow, one step at a time. Ok! 😊

This pattern is great …. Until the heel … I’ve ripped it out so many times I’ve made lots of different Xmas stockings … never done a heel like this … unfortunately I can’t complete it
I cant figure out the heel either! Ivexstarted over 5 times...i need to see her do it up close...im lost on this heel. ??
Seems like she rushed through some parts and could have used camera more to show detail on certain stitches - she rushed through some parts - videos r best for beginners to intermediate so keep that in mind when making them
