PleasantSims just covered them a few days ago. I like the theory she mentioned in her video that someone else said: Jasper was electrocuted from fixing the tv, which made the house catch fire which Cody passed away from. Kirsten hair caught fire so she decided to extinguish her hair by jumping in the pool and wound up drowning, and Eileen wound up starving herself because of all the grief she was facing from the incident.

I personally think that because this family is based on the Winchester family, the deaths were slow to happen rather than a big accident. I think Cody died first, probably when his little sister was a baby, which would explain why he didn't get a chance to know her. And then when Kirsten died, Eileen stopped eating due to depression over the loss of both of her children and because her husband seemed to only care about the house. This explains why the three of them are buried in the garden, and Jasper is still in the house. Thats where he died, electrocuted while fixing the TV that his late wife broke as her last ditch attempt to get his attention and to make him realize how much she was suffering and grieving
(I know she isn't a technophobe, but it wouldn't be the first time the lore had a little unexplainable bit lol)

I was just coming here to say this. As soon as she said Jasper had had a dream about living forever if he kept building the house, I was like "oh it's a reference to the Winchester house, so all those deaths are just tragic accidents."

If the house is based of the Winchester Mystery house, maybe these various deaths are just a reference to the losses Sarah Winchester suffered (husband, infant daughter dying of illness) which drove her to madness.
Another parallel to this story is the name Remington, which is an arms company name just like the Winchester name.
Definitely this! Sarah Winchester's husband invented the Winchester rifle. Remingtons are also a type of gun. Sarah kept building and building her house.
Also The Sims team is based in the Bay Area in California, which is where the Winchester house is.
My theory is Jasper was trying to fix the TV and got electrocuted, and that caused a fire. Cody is a heavy sleeper so he slept through the fire and burned to death. Kirsten got lit on fire and tried to put herself out in water but ended up drowning.
And a grief stricking Eileen starved herself

Eileen became so depressed by the loss of her family that she didn't eat, ultimately causing her to die of starvation.

What if Kirstin was born before Cody and died of drowning and grief stricken they wanted a replacement then having Cody. She might have died from swimming and her parents weren't paying attention. But it also might be away of honoring Disney's murder mystery at Disneyland but it's just a theory
I also was thinking Kirstin may have been the older sibling. My theory is that Kirstin died when Cody was a baby, which explains why they were only acquaintances. Eileen tried to move on for the sake of her younger child, but eventually the grief became too much and she starved herself to death. Jasper then raised Cody on his own, but one day he electrocuted himself while fixing the TV, and it caused a fire to break out. Cody then burned to death while trying to put out the fire.

My theroy:
Kirsten died of an accidental drowning, years later they had Cody.
A tv broke and jasper got electrocuted to death while fixing it causing a fire, killing cody. Grief stricken Eileen starved to death due to losing her whole family.
Aunt lydia drowned before or after the events due to a car accident
I saw another post linking this house and its family to the Winchester House and I think they are spot on. Winchester and Remington were both firearms and even the fact that Jasper felt the need to keep building on to the house fits with the Winchester story.
This family just feels like a reference to how the sims community likes to play with their sims, but from an in-universe perspective.
It has the most common ways people kill their sims off: drowning, fire, starvation, electrocution. Kristen =pool with no ladder, Eileen = walled into a room, Cody= intentional cooking/fireplace fire, Jasper = fixing electronics with no skill.
Perhaps that's just all this is; a clever little reference to the more 'evil' way of playing the game, told from the perspective of the sims themselves. The leftover remnants of someone else's play-through. Victims of the player's cruelty. The weird, chaotic style of the house itself also feels like a reference/in-universe homage to the player (though I do agree it fits more as a reference to the Winchester house, and that's probably what it was intended to be.)
Kirsten was older than Cody, she died in by an accidental drowning. Parents then had Cody (or already had him but he was only a baby, thus not knowing Kirsten). Jasper was fixing the TV, caused a fire, Cody being a heavy sleeper slept through it until he had burnt to death. Eileen was grief stricken and didn't eat. Makes sense to keep your husband's urn in your room.

I feel like what happened to the family was that Cody and Kirsten got into a car accident since teens can drive in Generations, most likely the car caught fire or he lost control, but I believe either way he crashed into the river and his sister thus drowned while he tried to save her but suffocated due to smoke, then the mom died from starvation due to grief, and the father ended up going crazy this building his house up after seeing he was haunted by his family, then his sister, wanting to own his house since she was down on her luck, came over and tampered with his television thus causing him to be electrocuted, but then Lydia passed so she didnât get the house and so it was passed to Hannah and her husband
Itâs possible Cody barely knows Kirsten because he was younger than her. She died when he was a baby/toddler and time continued on for him before he died in the fire as a teen

@@BullyGirlUzi yes she would. She died as a child. If she was older than him he was a baby when she died. Ghosts donât age so she would remain a child ghost and he would age while living till he dies as a teen.
Maybe one of the siblings died before the other was born, or when one was a baby, then the second also passed away and their mother couldn't cope with the pain of losing another child and starved to death in her depression. That would account for the siblings barely knowing eachother, at the very least...
My theory for why Kirsten and Cody don't know each other is that Cody died before Kirsten was born, either while his mother was pregnant, or his parents decided to have another child to try and rebuild their family after his death, I don't think we know at what time or in which order they died
Do we know that they all died around the same time? Maybe the reason Cody doesn't know Kirsten is that she's actually his older sister who died before he was born?
I love Ms Lore's voice so much that I watched the entire ad. I've never done this before. Ever.
Here's my theory. Lydia did sabotage the TV, but not with the intent to kill anyone. Unfortunately, Jasper tried to fix it, and was electrocuted to death in the process. This attempt also started the fire that killed Cody. Kirsten was just a baby or a toddler at the time, which is why she and Cody weren't close; they never got the chance to really develop a relationship. She was with her mother when the fire happened, and they both managed to get out safely. When Lydia found out what happened to Jasper and Cody, she was so stricken with grief and guilt that she crashed her car into the river and drowned.
Eileen moved on with her life as best she could. She fixed up the house and continued to raise Kirsten alone. But then one day, Kirsten drowned accidentally. With her whole family gone, Eileen fell into a deep depression and stopped eating, to the point where she starved to death.
Of course, there's a pretty big hole in this theory, since Jasper and Lydia didn't know each other even though they were siblings. But that in itself is weird, and could have been a mistake on the developers' part. Then again, besides the devs, who knows?

Maybe Cody died while Kristen was still a baby/toddler (would explain the lack of relationship) and their parents kept Kristen extremely sheltered from the outside world, afraid that something would happen to her too (explaining why she literally doesn't know anyone else).
When Kristen drowned, Eileen, understandably, became extremely depressed and stopped caring for herself. Jasper was the one taking care of his wife and was maybe fixing the television in her room (because she probably just laid in bed all day) and may have sent her outside to get some fresh air while he did so, and when he was electrocuted and never came to retrieve her, she just laid down in her depressed state until she starved to death.
Aunt Lydia was the one who died in the car accident in the river, but perhaps this was years before (or after) her brother grew up (or was born), accounting for their own missing relationship.
Remember when you talked about the Rimingtons in a past video and compared to the Winchester? Kirsten probably died in an accident on a lake on Riverview, her father could have died by accident and maybe Her mother and brother died in an earthquake that colapsed the home and closed them in doorless rooms, like the Earthquake in Chicago that affected Winchester Manor and that now is an historical building.
If you want to relate everything, well, Maybe the Remingtons had a pool or a little lake. The manor was being remodeled and out of everyone's sight Kirsten drown. The tragedy stopped the remodelation for a while, not for long. The remodelation started again, until one day, Joseph, burden by the lost of his daugther commits a mistake while instaling an old tv, and he dies. Like the wife of Gunther Goth's uncle. There's only Kirsten's Mother and her Brother, they decide to stop the renovation to sell the house and move away, but the house wasn't finished, so the earthquake happened. Koddy is trapped between the fireplace room, and Eileen burried between derbis.
A fire starts and takes Cody's life, then it consumes itslef due to the lack of oxygen and Eyleen dies of starvation. When the remains are find the house is given to their heirs.
Theory: what if Jasper killed all the members of his family and then commited suicide? He has the 'insane' trait, and he's also a hopeless romantic. Not a great mix. What if he wanted to live happy with his family for all the eternity, and that's how he did it?
your theory makes sense. I believe that Jasper was the last to die because Kirsten and Eileen are buried together, there is a flower in front of their graves, Cody is also nearby. Only Jasper's ashes remained near the TV

Maybe Eileen was driving the car and survived, but Kirsten didn't and the guilt can her to neglect her own health

Also I prefer the theory that while trying to repair the TV he was electrocuted which started a fire leading to death of the other family members and the daughter jumped into a pool or lake to try and escape the fire and drowned. Then the mother was so grief stricken she starved herself or got trapped somewhere and starved that way

Such a great video! Since I saw Pleasant Sim's video on the Remingtons (Btw crazy coincidence! You 2 released videos on the same family 2 days apart!) I've been wanting more detailed theories about the deaths.
I commented it on her video as well, but here goes my theory: the house is its own entity and is deliberately trapping and killing unsuspecting Sims inside it, and it was triggered bg some catastrophic event in the past, and the spirits of the original victims became lost and melted into this evil entity of the house. Something like The Haunting series.

In my mind, nobody knew Lydia because she was maybe left at an orphanage by Jasper's parents when he was really young. Lydia grew up resentful of her birth family for leaving her and endeavored to find who they were.
Eventually she finds out her parents are dead and Jasper has inherited a vast fortune, something that would increase her jealousy. Of course, none of Jasper's family is aware of his sister either.
So, Lydia places a trap. Likely she secretly breaks into the house and tampers with the pool equipment (Floaties, the ladder, the lighting, ect) whike the famiky isn't home. Not knowing about the changes (made to look like natural damages), Kirsten enters the family's pool in the basement. Unfortunately the (8-10 year old) girl has likely not learned to swim and her floaty fails her. As no one is near the basement in the mismatching house, Kirsten is not discovered until like one of her parents discovers her (unsure if they have any house caretakers). Her mother, in her distress begins to suffer of a heavy depression.
However the pain doesn't stop. At his boarding school, Kirsten's brother gets into trouble when he goes out with his friends. Faulty wiring of the shady business catches fire and he soon becomes trapped as the building collapses around them. So, Jasper and Eileen get their son sent back in a body bag, ready for identification.
Eileen quickly spirals further into her depression, barely leaving her bed. One morning, Jasper finds her, no breath leaving her. Her depression had won and her stomach is empty.
Jasper drives himself to work constantly, not knowing that Lydia has snuck in once again. She, of course, heard if the tragic deaths to befall his wife & son from the paper, and has come to finish the job. She tampers with the TV, as she knows that giving him something dangerous to do in his state would inevitably lead to his death.
And it does. After fixing up the TV, Jasper proceeds to give it a few updates. But, one day he touches the wrong part.
And just like that, Lydia reveals herself and claims the family fortune. She quickly gets married, believing she would live happily ever after...
But, of course, no one counts on ghosts.
I hope my headcanon makes sense and I wish everyone a good day.
My theory is Kirsten was in the car with Eileen but Eileen lived while Kirsten died which sent Eileen spiraling down into depression. Her husband hoping that another child would bring her out of sadness convinced her that they should have another a child and for a while it seemed to work. However, eventually though, Eileen lost herself to her depression and locked herself away under the mansionâs kitchen where she starved to death
As for Cody and Jasper, with Eileen gone, Jasper was now a single father trying to take care of his son, but because of the grief and loss of his wife and daughter, he began to believe that the house was cursed. He began adding onto the house, creating rooms that led to nothing and seemingly had no function at all. However, because of all these strange additions, Jasper was quickly losing their fortune and began to do all the work around the house himself, including fixing the electrical appliances and unfortunately, this would cause not only his but his son's demise as well, as after he died from electrocution, it sparked a fire that killed his son before it could be contained.
I actually have a small theory about it, it could've been indeed an accident... But there was no grown ups involved, Kirsten might've not know how swim very well and she was playing with a friend her age who accidentally (or not đ) pushed Kirsten into a lake, and either there was no one around to help and the kid didn't know how to swim or didn't know what to do, or was planned by an evil kid sim, though the first one is more likely I think, the kid might not like Kirsten and pushed her out of spite or anger (kids do dumb things), but regret and couldn't help Kirsten who ended up dying

I think Cody was the first to die along time ago because his gravestone looks the oldest of them all, and his mothers grief made her starve to death, am not sure what happened to Kirsten but I am sure she was born after the death of her brother thatâs why they donât know each other, after her death Jasper was left alone and thats why no one buried him outside.
My theory is that after lydia sabotaged the TV jasper attempted to fix it which failed causing a fire that cody got caught in and in worry lydia took kristen in the car and drove away from the scene so kristen would be safe but got hit by another car and ended up having the car thrown into the water drowning them both . Eileen after being told of the news began to starve herself because of grief until she passed

4:30 the first time, literally the first time in the history of youtube, i have been unnerved by a fourth wall break. mind you i watch horror youtube and horror movies a lot. i've seen similar bits where content creators are like "i know you're just eating chips on the couch!" like haha, most people do that? but this was too spot on. i was quite literally in the middle of thinking "i won't go watch that other video because i don't want to" then this gal over here said "yes you! the one who won't see this other video even though you have no idea what i'm talking about!" like, uhm, okay a lot of people still do that. but then a moment later whisper to me to tell me to disable my adblock? and use footage displaying the exact adblock i use?? what the hell man. y'all gotta stop being so relatable.

Oki sooo here my theory n story :
Maybe because Jasper was insane , his parents were tried to hide him from everyone from the family so that explained why Lydia didn't anything of her brother . Time go by and Jasper now married to Eileen . They move and settle down in the new house and ready to having their first child Cody . They lived nice and fine until accident happened , Cody was in the garden to do his science rocket project (his homework) , he tried to impressed his teacher with his work so push a little further by putting a fireworks in the rocket to made it fly n spake , but things went very wrong so he burned the rocket and ... also himself ! When the parents got to the garden , it was all ready too late . Year later Eileen had Kirsten with hope that things will be different and that she will not let anything bad happened to Kirsten . One stormy day , while driving Kirsten home from school , Eileen had a phone call from the police that her husband was death from an electrocution while fixing the TV in their bedroom room . Both hearts broken n shock , Eileen rushed home through the heavy rain . Because of the rain she couldn't see the road properly and she accepted hit someone while on the bridge and that person happened to be Lydia . All 3 of their were fallen in the river , Lydia and Kirsten were later found death by drowning and Eileen "luckily " alive . After all that happened ... her husband died , both her children died . Eileen blamed everythings on her and tortured herself by starved herself to death .

I had a sim drown in the Le Petit public pool in Sunset Valley, told him to go to the pool(do whatever when you get there or turn around and go home in 5 minutes either way it gets the visit the pool wish done) while I made another sim run all over town to work on her collections and the fool swam until he drowned. In another playthrough River McIrish starved to death and I was notified my teen sim was grieving over it, she was her only friend... reloaded and invited her over(only guest to the party excluding the obligatory party crasher who had fun dancing to the stereo for several hours while everyone else ignored him) and had plenty of food available on every counter, nuts on the bar, and the party buffet. River ate two helpings, mac and cheese off a counter and stuffed turkey from the buffet then stayed the night with my sims daughter where they did pillow fights and dancing until the wee morning hours. Got many notifications of sims dying in accidental fires and electrocution, the notifications of accidental death are kinda morbidly funny, "She could have just asked for a sandwich."... Oh and Rivers mother was a vampire in one game and died by sunlight at my sims party with River there, my sim grabbed the ashes while River was crying over them and nonchalantly dropped them in the garbage can... In front of River. There's you mom kid, if you want her ashes they're in the can.
So my theory, just one unfortunate family with allot of accidental deaths. One freaking out about a fire rather than extinguish it or call the fire department, one not smart enough to get out of the pool when they get exhausted, one simply forgot how to grab a quick meal from the fridge when hungry(or was out someplace without eating since the day before... Oh wait that's the same thing), and one tries to fix the TV again right after getting zapped because they wanted the bad reception moodlet or not miss their favorite show that's on repeat. Nothing suspicious, no conspiracies, nothing but bad luck that could have taken sims years(20-30 days?) to happen.
I don't subscribe to every sim death being suspicious when real humans die from stupidity all the time and sims are far less smart. Starve to death in your own home when there's a never ending supply of several foods to be had for free? Dancing around screaming right next to a spreading fire and let it spread right onto you? Go swimming until exhausted and swim some more while everyone else at the pool does nothing beyond wave their arms in the air and freak out including the cop and firefighter that was at the pool? Poke around the internals of a CRT TV when you have no idea what you are doing and discover capacitors can kill?... Ok last one used to happen all the time and why you should never open a PC power supply today and poke at the internals.
The Remington's took collect em' all to a whole new level
maybe kirsten decided to try to drive but was too short to see the windsheild so she drove into the river and had no idea how to get out
I thought this family was base off Winchester Mystery house by Sara Winchester where she went insane cause of grief from her lost of her love ones. And that explain why the house was built like it was for the visiting ghost.
There is a chance that the people who don't know each other don't know each other because they died before meeting. Cody is the older one I think so he could have died from the dads werid house repairs or add ons being messed with and so the parents then had kirsten. The house is also based on the winchester house and people believe that there was ghosts influcing the home owner to add on so maybe there were other curses that would have everyone die young.

The reason Cody and Kirsten donât know each could be because he wasnât born yet when she died. She could actually be the first born who died by accidental drowning. When he was born their parents took great care to protect him from that same fate only for him to die in a fire as a teen.
Miss Lore! I recommend you to look into the "Millions in Singles"-ton household from Appaloosa Plains. The Thing that's going on with the ex girlfriend of the older brother Booker is juicy as it is... But boy! It is said that they have plans with the town and I think they are pressuring the old Curley couple to sell their land. So these boys wants to breed full blood horses but failed with their first 2 tries. The horse they have now in their family is named Glint 3.0 indicating that it is the 3rd try. The bio of glint is hinting that something must have happened to his predecessors... And I think they've killed Glint 2.0 because of this animal ghosts appearance. You can take a look into it yourself... Cuz this is just... dark...

I'm thinking Kirsten's death was an accident. o: I know this was tossed around before but I also believe that Kirsten was the older child and died before Cody was born. Cody most likely overheard stories about Kirsten from his parents and that is why he barely knows her.
I'm also guessing that the basement is the key to Eileen's death, perhaps that's where she was found dead? o:
(Not sure why Jasper doesn't know his sister though... maybe she's not the real sister and she's an imposter. o: /j)
Both Remington and Winchester are the names of pew pew companies. So that checks out

Idk about what happened to these sims but I can definently say that they were based on the Winchester house. Not only does the House description match up with the actual story of the Winchester house but the name Remington is most likely referencing Remington Arms. The fact that the entire family is dead also matches up with the story that the Winchester house is haunted.

I think that Lydia and Kristen both died in the same way is a suggestion from the game developers, that they died in the same accident. So, indeed, Jasper was trying to fix the TV that Lydia broke. In my opinion, Eileen died before Lydia and Kristen. She could starve herself on purpose, but it seems to me that since Kristen and Cody didn't know each other, Kristen was still a infant. So Eileen, as a single mother living in such a big house, was so engrossed in chores that she didn't manage to get to the refrigerator. Then Lydia looked after Kristen, but for some reason, maybe because she felt guilty, she drove her car into the river. Not necessarily on purpose, maybe she was nervous or thoughtful.

I just think it has to do with the house. The dad wanted to build out the house and make it big. Heâs insane, so he made weird rooms. Which Trapped his family inside by accident. His wife died starving in the walls, so he buried her. Kid dies in a pool, and the other one with fire . The kids never knew each other cause they were on opposite sides of the house lol . The family members have nice graves , cause the dad loved them and felt guilty and buried them. The dad then only Recently died trying to fix the tv , as his urn is in the house . The house he Loved and wanted to build, ended up killing his whole family . Thatâs my take. The house Is the murderer .
I was thinking among the same lines. Maybe the daughter was actually older than the son but died first, I think ghosts don't age if they're npc's? He may only have been a toddler when his big sister died so when he grew up to be a teenager, she was little more than vague memories and stories told, hence the low relationship
I feel like the reason the two kids didn't know each other is because Eileen is the older one and she died when she a kid before her brother was born

Kristen (kirsten?) killed her mother by locking her in a room to starve. The brother came home from boarding school and witnessed it (or pieced it together). He killed his sister for revenge and... "un-alived" himself after by setting the house in fire.
How tragedy. Whole family died from different cause of death. They're cursed

Sooo.... What if Jasper was fixing the broken-on-accident TV and set the house on fire whilst being eletrocuted and everyone else left, but Kristen's dress caught on fire and she jumped in the pool, then Cody decided to be the hero and 'save' their father (they didn't know he died) and burned to death. Then Lyidia saw the fire and decided to try and save Kristen and they drowned together and then Eileen starved herself with greif.

I think the mother got into an accident and couldn't save her child from drowning, and she blamed herself for her daughter's death and starved herself thinking she deserves to suffer because of it
What if the dad died first from electrocution and then the house caught on fire and caused an electrical fire that killed the brother. Also what if the little girl caught on fire and tried to put herself out in the pool but ended up drowning instead? And as for the mom....idk maybe she starved to death because she lost her husband and children and she just wasn't taking care of herself

My theory is that they were just a really unlucky family who all died in tragic circumstances rather than murder or anything more mysterious. I think Cody died in a fire while away at boarding school, as there is no signs of any fire damage at the house and that might explain why he didn't have a good relationship with his sister because she was still a baby when he got sent away. He's a heavy sleeper so maybe he slept through the smoke alarm. Jasper died in a freak accident being electrocuted while tinkering with the TV. Eileen was so heartbroken from the loss of her husband and son that she wasn't focusing on the road and she crashed the car into the river and Kirsten was killed. Then she was so consumed by guilt and grief with her whole family gone that she starved herself. Not sure where Lydia comes into it though. Maybe they just weren't close and she was involved in a separate accident?
I think kirstin was born first and she died after being left unattended in the pool and maybe she couldnât swim. So then they had Cody later on and they always compared Cody to kirtstin even going as far to giving him some of her things so that theyâd be into the same things. One day he got tired of it and tried to burn some of kirstins things so his family could be able to move on. But the fire got too big and he was caught in the middle of it. Eileen died afterwards of starvation because she became very depressed after losing two kids and refused to eat

I don't think the "fire" theory that seems to be going around makes any sense... the house is completely intact, and the jones have just moved there with no mention of having to fix the house, In order for the fire to do what it supposedly did, it would have caused extensive damage to "Remington's Ruse". I am pretty sure the implication is supposed to be that Jasper was the last one to die as when sims in your active household die their remains spawn nearby where they died. With nobody left in the household to move the remains to the family graveyard, his just stayed where they originally spawned after he was electrocuted by the tv. (possibly as a suicide) Honestly I think the implication is SUPPOSED to be that all the Remingtons died in unrelated accidents as a direct Result of Jasper's Insistence upon building the house bigger and bigger. With his daughter drowning in the river when he was supposed to be watching her and his son dying in a fire they caused when trying to fix up the house (since Jasper was still alive he would have been able to repair the fire damage and it also may have been mor minimal damage then what would have been required in the fire theory. The wife died of starvation either due to jasper spending so much money building the house that they couldn't afford food or after becoming trapped somewhere in the dangerous maze like house
