I've never acclimated corals, even expensive torches, brains, and Goni's. You don't technically have to since they don't have complex nervous systems like fish do.
I'm about to get a 75 gallon tank and can't decide between fresh or salt water. I've never done a salt tank. Maybe I'll give it a try. The fish are always so beautiful and full of personality.
Where did you get the big white coral? Also would a 20 gallon be okay for two clownfish? And you should make a video on how to manage the salt water and how to add it? I’m thinking of getting 2 clown fish :) This video helped!!
Glad this video helped! The big white coral (Xenia) was from Petco. A 20 gallon is perfect for 2 clownfish! I definitely will make a video on how to managing the tank and water in the near future. Also good luck if you end up getting clownfish!
Quick question you got me thinking about doing a 40 gallon saltwater , what kind of water meaning do you use faucet or buy the water ? Dammit I got so many questions lol
Really nice vid. Needs an update cuz it’s so nice. Btw you should add a firefish since they’re really hardy, get along well with clownfish, and look awesome :D
Thank you for the suggestion and good news, I have done updates! You can check them out here- m.czcams.com/play/PLz7lr6V4M1lvVYZmh9GuInLXhY6EGgdGj.html
Here in Toronto Canada you just can’t buy RO water like that. I think your video is very informative and I like how you explain your steps and demonstrate how easy it can be. Do you think tap water can be used? And how do you do your water changes…. Do you mix salt and water in a bucket to the same salinity in the tank, or just top it up with just more water? And how do you know your tank is “cycled” like you mention? I heard you say you kept just the rock and water going for 3 weeks I think before adding fish in your 2 clownfish video
So this comment way be a bit late, but you should always try to get RO water if possible as it will save you from future problems, even if tap water is "clean and drinkable for humans" it still contains minerals etc. For soft corals and some LPS you are probably fine with tap water, but going into SPS can be a nightmare if you don't have control of your water. Producing your own RO water at home is really basic and can be done with a RO/DI system under $100 and you will never have to run to the pet store for water again.
normally like 4-6 weeks, be sure to add food or another type of ammonia to the tank to start the cycle and make sure your rocks are in the tank so the bacteria can grow on them
Oh....Saving Nemo! Unfortunately, the clownfish is now facing an even bigger challenge, climate change. Rising temperature around the world are bleaching in other words, killing off coral and sea anemone…. The habitats clownfish call home….
I like following this tank as I'm in more/less the same space in terms of what I want to set up and have available. Well done so far!
Thanks!

I’ve seen that you don’t need to acclimate most corals but I just do it to because I’m new to saltwater and don’t want to take any risks 😂
I love ur videos! im definetly subscribing to ur channel! . Got a question, what are de dimensions of this tank? Thanks in advance!
how long did you cycled your tank?
great video
Awesome video Lad
Glad to hear and thank you!

Are you using a sump?

What is the name of the background music in the cinematic clips at the end??
Do you still have your fish?

I buy distilled bottled water from Walmart for about 80 cents a gallon. If you have more questions ask away!
That fish looks like a Johnny handsome to me
This Tank size ? ❤

How long did it take for you to mix the salt water?
About 45 minutes for all of the water.

I forgot to mention that u should add a mature piece of live rock that is mature for some good bacteria growth. Also check out micro bacteria
Morphine Time Thanks for the advice! I’m going to the pet store in a few days to pick some up.
Where did you buy your rock and is that just a regular clown?
I got the rock form Bulk Reef Supply. The clownfish is just a regular clown
Clown fish like a actor just wait for photography and sign😂😂
1. Anakin
2. Dwayne
3. Pennywise
The dislike is marlin
Don’t know if I’m too late but you could name him convict
Clownfish need anemone as a 'house' and a friend. 😉👌
How long do u have to wait into u are able to put fishes in the tank

Um coral needs flow and light that’s how it survives

I am well aware of these unfortunate events taking place. It’s very sad to see these things harming our beautiful oceans.
What’s your ph level
8.1
how did you cycle your tank
I used Instant Ocean Bio-Spira bacteria
Doulas
Clown fish are better kept in pairs.
Andy's reef. I’m planning on adding another one soon.
@@BarrysAquarium you should have gotten them at the same time because they start as males and the aggressive one switches to a female.
