A couple of these have answers in game:
The Mechonis Sword wasn't rebuilt by origin, We see it in the Pre-merge Keves during Melia and Nia's flashback conversation. It seems the Mechonis Sword was regenerated when Shulk rebooted his universe.
Noah and Mio are N and M's abandoned hope. This is how Noah and Mio described themselves to N at a few points in game. When N and M became mobius, it required abandoning hope for the future. much like how Pyra split from Mythra and Klaus from Zanza, Noah and Mio are the hope they abandoned, reborn. Its why they fuse back into a single body, once they achieve balance, and why the only way to defeat Mobius is for Noah and Mio to let go of N and M.
Origin did save the City people, it'd they can use Irises and blade weapons. Every life form in Aionios is saved to Origin's core crystal memory bank. It's why they all turn to motes of light when they die, the same way a blade would. The city people's fates are left ambiguous because that's the game's theme. Hope in the face of an uncertain future. It isn't certain that all the city can be reborn, but the hope is a world can be created in which they can be. We just can't know what the future holds for now, because the future isn't set and all that.
The aging thing I think is actually kinda easy to explain. While they describe Aionios as a frozen world, it's more accurate to call it a delayed world. the whole thing with Z is he can't actually stop the future from coming, he can only delay it, hence why the annihilation events are still happening. So Melia, Riku, Rex, Shulk and the others haven't actually stopped aging. They're just aging at the same rate Aionios is. Very, very slowly. They weren't rebuilt by origin so they're on the same time table Aionios is. They are still aging, hence why Shulk's hair grew and Rex's eye scarred over, but at such a rate where fifteen years makes little difference on their bodies.
As for Riku, the available timetable really only allows for Riki to be Riku's father. There can only have been a maximum of fifteen years between 1,2 and 3's start, with the most likely answer being Twelve, which would make the Queen's celebration most likely Melia's Hundredth birthday. This is based on a couple things, including Rex and Shulk's ages, the ages of their children, Melia's age and Riku's age. Kino was around 8-10 years old in FC, so any child of Kino's would have been an infant when the worlds merged and Riku is clearly an adult Nopon, who had been training under Melia before the world's merged. Nopon are shown to reach child rearing age at a similar if not later stage in life then humans do. Riki was forty years old and had very young children, who at least would have born when he was thirty, and while he mentions having older kids, Kino is not one of them.

    • @SuperSavajin
      @SuperSavajin  Před 4 měsíci +15

To get to some of these. N and M's hopes still doesn't explain how they were reborn after homecoming in the first place. There has to be an explanation for that in the first place. Also we don't exactly know how many years past before Aionios was created. It could have been over 20 years which gives Kino enough time as well

    • @MaxM210
      @MaxM210 Před 4 měsíci +24

@@SuperSavajin Noah and Mio survived past homecoming due to the strength of their regret. Z never says he doesn’t know how they survived, just that he found it fascinating. In Z’s speech, he specifically mentions how Mobius draws power from dissatisfaction and regret. “If the results satisfy that is all well and good. But if they do not, what then?”
N and M lived the full ten years they were allotted after an eternity of dying fighting Z, and N was still unsatisfied. The strength of that regret, was what kept him going. Z’s philosophy is based on the idea that a limited span of time can never truly be enough. N got the limited span of time he wanted, and it still wasn’t enough, hence, as said Z says he embraced the endless now. Z is fascinated by how strong N’s regret is, as to him it’s proof that he’s right. Z’s system isn’t a flawless or unbreakable. Plenty of soldiers regain memory of their past lives because Z can only paint over them, not erase them. His system isn’t flawless, hence with a strong enough will, people break through it. Even M had lingering regrets strong enough to persist.
But as for the time table it couldn’t have been twenty years. The timeline estimates are proven by one major piece of evidence, that being Linka.
Linka is physically, exactly 18 years old. It says such in the affinity screen. Meaning it could only have been a maximum of 18 years between 1&2’s end and 3’s start. Linka was brought into Aionios from the original world. We then have to bump a year off that because Panacea is also 18, and Reyn and Sharla didn’t have a child in FC which takes place one year after Xc1’s ending. Meaning it could only have been a maximum of 17 years. We can then bump further time off because Linka isn’t in the group photo of Xc2’s party. And there’s no reason for that to be the case, unless she hadn’t been born yet. And in that photo Rex is visibly no older than eighteen, and more likely seventeen.
Additionally, Rex and Shulk do not immediately recognize Glimmer and Nikol. It takes them a solid moment to realize who they are. This suggests they are both unused to seeing them at the age of nineteen. They mostly likely have only seen them at a younger stage.
Even more so, we know Rex, Shulk and every one else from the pre-merged worlds is still aging, just very slowly. Hence Shulk’s hair and Rex’s eye. If Linka is physically 18 in FR, and she’s been in Aionios since the beginning, which seems to be the case, that suggests she did a great deal of her aging in Aionios, just very slowly.
With that in mind, it is safe to assume, Linka and Panacea were most likely between 8-9 when the merger occurred. Meaning all the pre-merge people have most likely aged ten years in the thousand or so years Aionios had existed up to FR.
So if it’s been twelves years exactly between 1&2’s end, and 3’s start. At the merger Rex and Shulk we both 27 and 30 respectively. There kids are all around ten. Linka and Panacea are around 8, and Kino is only about 20, which doesn’t give Riku enough time to be old enough by the time the merger occurs to be Melia’s disciple.

The only I can think of as to why Noah and Mio are special is because they are related to the Queens who are the keys to Origin. But that would mean that Noah would have to be Melia’s kid. Melia is 80 percent Homs, so I think Noah being 100 percent human isn’t a problem.

Regarding the age answer, I'm pretty sure Linka says when you add her to youe community that her, Panacea, Rex, Shulk, Riku and possibly Nia and Melia too were inserted into origin incorrectly, and their ageing process froze. Another point about the City Folks and Origin is that Triton and Moebius K are both shown to be old even though its shown that multiple other Moebius do not age. The implication for me is that they are not soldiers of Agnus or Keves who simply grew old in their many years but rather were members of the City that became Moebius. We just have no idea how they became Moebius. It could be in a similar method to Shania but we don't know. Why K and T are old but N, M, J and D are not is a mystery.

    • @dibby1045
      @dibby1045 Před 4 měsíci +28

My assumption is that if Moebius don't get enough life force, they start to age. This would definitely give them motivation to keep letting their soldiers kill one another. It would also explain why Triton is older, as he doesn't do as much combat with other colonies, and only fights the less valuable monsters for life force.

You can even make a case that Triton is possibly Matthew. Similar fighting styles, builds and personalities are already stand out points, but it would also be Z pulling a middle finger to the City. Plus, it makes sense why Z doesn’t kill Triton even though he is effectively dead weight, like how he doesn’t kill the prisoners too except during executions.

I think it would be really interesting if they saved Mythra's child for Xenoblade 4. I'm also really into the idea of it being a boy, because that opens up a lot of potentially with regards to how his personality interracts with or contrasts Mythra's. A guy with Mythra's personality would be a handful for sure. That could also be a possible piint of intrigue if the boy ended up resembling or acting like Malos. Given Mythra's past with Malos it could be fun to see how she would parent a child with a similar potential or disposition to her brother. It would also be a good opportunity to see how she's grown. Rex is currently rocking Malos' hairstyle, so it actually works out.

Eunie, as all high entias in 3 (except for Melia) doesn't have silver hairs, and even hear wings' feathers are not pure white, as she noted herself when comparing the queen's appearance to hers. EVERY SINGLE high entia in 1, even half high entia, do have silver hairs and pure white wings. The Only exception to this is Gael'Gar in Future Connected, who has slightly purple-ish hairs and wings, probably to tease this. and he's in favor of half high entias supremacy, so that may also be to accentuate the idea that they are more and more like humans, with different hair colors and shorter lifespans.
By the way, I suggest calling pure blood high entias with logn lifespans and who (spoiler for Xenoblade 1 ahead) turn into Telethias when exposed to high quantities of ether, like Kallian or Sorean simply "high entia", half blooded ones who simply live long like Melia or Tyrea "Mid Entia", and those who are basically humans with head wings like Eunie "Low Entia".
Lanz (and all machinas in 3), is probably mixed with Humans, too, which could explain the human-like lifespan for both races.
It's the same with blades in 2, now everyone has a crystal, we must just assume it's the generation afterr, and seemingly everyone had children with other races, as long as at least one parent is human or homs.

I'm going to list my personal Theory/Headcanon answers to most the questions.
Questions 6 contains spoilers for all of the Xenosaga games. Question 8 contains spoilers for Xenogears.
    1. How did Nia become Queen?
Mor Ardain gave Gormott independence. They needed a leader and Nia was well known, a gormotti, at least in her driver form, and came from nobility, so she became queen of Gormott. She was probably reluctant to become queen, but gormott needed a leader, and she was pretty much the only option. Then she becomes queen of Agnus for the same reason Melia becomes queen of Keves. They were both queens of important nations in their home world and they both seem to have led their side of the origin project.
    2. Who is Mythra's Child.
I don't think it's any character we've seen yet, they'll probably be an important character in a future Xenoblade game.
    3. Why were some characters not assimilated by origin?
My theory is a pretty simple one. They were not assimilated because, rather than being destroyed in the collision of the worlds, they were physically present inside origin when the worlds collided, and were protected.
3.5. How does their aging work?
The characters age in the same way Aionios itself does. I believe the Annihilation Effect is caused by a small part of the word moving forward in time a little bit. Given Alpha's clear connection to the black fog, I think it is reasonable to assume that his appearance would cause more annihilations. The characters not assimilated into Origin would normally not age at all but Alpha's appearance caused them to start ageing at normal speed until he was defeated.
    4. Aegis Cores?
I believe that Matthews Gauntlets/Noah's Blade and N's Blade do not contain Pneuma and Logos's Core Crystals, but rather their weapon's crystal. So Noah and N's blades are effectively different forms of Pneuma and Malos's Swords.
    5. What is Aionios really?
Aionios was not just the remnants of the original worlds. The worlds were both already destroyed before Aionois was created but Origin contains all of the data about everything that existed in the original worlds. While the area you mentioned were destroyed, remaining parts of them still exist. Z was able to use the remaining data in origin and the memories of people who know what they used to look like to recreate them.
    6. Who is Moebius A?
Fully explaining this would require explaining my full very complicated theory on how Xenosaga connected to Xenoblade, but to give a brief answer, Moebius A is Wilhelm, going by a different Name.
    Question 8.
My best guess for this one is something similar to why Fei and Elly Reincarnate in Xenogears. I don't have the energy to go into more depth here.
Question 9. What happens to the city people.
They will eventually be born to the same parents as they had in Aionios in the combined world.

[spoilers for XG] for question 8 I think them being able to reincarnate after becoming Moebius has a connection with the beginning cutscene. Gears and Perfect Works obviously have massive influence over the entire xeno series, so placing Noah as the "contact" of the XB1 world considering his parallels to Fei don't seem too far fetched. Mio could fit a contact role as well, but we don't really get much on the conditions of Alrest prior to the annihilation event or if she witnessed the collision like Noah does.

As for question 3, I have a theory. Rex and Shulk are described as avatars/spirits of Aionios. My theory is this:
Moebius is described as a concept and how everyone has Moebius in them. Moebius gained power because of the collective fear of the unknown and Origins power. I think Ouroboros works in the same way. Moebius coalesced into X, Y, and Z, while Ouroboros coalesced into the liberators whose leaders are the people with the most Ouroboros in them.
All these spirits are the will of Ouroboros, and the reason they are significantly weaker than Moebius is because the people assimilated in Origin had more Moebius is them than Ouroboros.
Nia created Ouroboros stones which used to give everyone who came into contact with them Ouroboros powers, like how Z can turn soldiers into Moebius, but it changed to six individuals because of the founders using it to make Ouroboros more powerful.
The liberators don't age because they are spirits, or because time is frozen, or because it's similar to how Moebius don't age. Take your pick on which one.
One thing this theory is missing is why Ouroboros is made up of individuals from Origin instead of coalescing into 3 people.

  • @del5206

Here is my question. What are the Iriss, how were they made, who made them and why? Following that, what determines your blade, and can anyone change it, or is it just Ouroboros? Agnian soldiers ask Sena in a flashback why she chose the hammer as if she could use something different. Then it is mentioned that city people can also change weapons (but they would have Ouroboros powers anyway). Is it that everyone can change weapons, but the main group can change and immediately know how to use them, or is it something else? Also, how does altering one's blade work? All the main character's blades can get permanently changed, with Noah's being already painted red in a flash back before Riku altered it to add Lucky Seven. Then there is also the questions of how it works for if a blade breaks like how Lanz's blade got cut in two when he swung at Lucky Seven, but then it is fine later. Also since Lucky Seven and a Pnuema core was put into Noah's blade/the red paint, can you just put anything away and store in like a blade? Just how does that whole thing work. I was really hoping for answers for how Iriss and Blades work, but they never came. OH! Also, are iris blade weapons and core crystal blade weapons the same, or different? Also, why did Shulk's blade be the Mondao REX+, but Rex had like these weird semi Aegis weapons?

Great question. That kinda ties into the "what is Aionios" question. If Aionios is a world that Origin created and controls it could explain Irises. They could for example just be a connection to Origins storage or something. I would really love to know.

Can't answer for what and how the Irises came to be, but for Shulk and Rex yes.
Back in XB1 Shulk originally held the Monado due to Zanza living inside him. Once Zanza seperated from Shulk he couldn't wield the Monado he had to use a makeshift weapon. Shulk further refines this in FC Connected and that's where you see the Monado REX+. I'd say it's pretty reasonable he'd have that when all the Origin stuff came to be.
As for Rex's side I'd say it's pretty similar. He pretty much owned those two blades in XB2 so it would make sense he'd wield those when Origin came to be.
Not sure if I got your question confused but just gotta jump train in all these theories hahaha

The iris system is akin to the UMN from Xenosaga. Thanks to everyones consciousness/souls being linked via Origin's data bank, a network running on this collective unconsciousness came to be. You can store items in it (like how you send items to other ppl being a actual canon feature) as well as Noah's paint and Lucky Seven being stored in. This also applies to Rex and Shulk then. For all we know, those aren't Blades that everyone has thanks to being stored in Core Crystals inside of Origin, but just weapons they store in the collective unconsciousness. Blade's can be switched because Ouroboros are inherently linked to the collective unconsciousness within Origin, because Ouroboros Stones give access to the amount of power that Nia still has over Origin with her key. This why City folks can chang classes and Ouroboros as well, on top of Mio saying that the techniques for picking up the new Blade feels like it was deep ingrained within us.

Going back in XC2, when the group got trapped by the king of Tantal and couldn't use there blade powers to escape, Morag said she could ask Brighid to recreate a new weapon from her core crystal, explaining to Rex why and how is it possible to use a blade weapon as a kamikaze tool if in need. About the agnian soldiers and the topic of changing blade (the weapon), I think that anyone using an Iris (with the only exception being the nopons then) can choose to swap to another weapon whenever they want to, maybe with a particular protocol, explaining why it's not something we see happening all the time during battle on the front. The specifics about the interaction between Ethel and the protagonists is that they asked if she could use/see threw her Iris the same parameter as they used for swapping blade in during battle with the help of the logs/database that there comrades Iris has stored about the weapon usage.

I interpreted Truthsinger as the evolution of Veiled Sword for representing Noah’s arc of finding the truth within the world but more importantly himself, ‘Veiled Sword’ is “Hidden Sword” in Japanese or 「ヒドゥンソード」 (‘Hidun Sōdo’), ‘Veiled’ just being a description of obscuring appearances, information, or wisdom, it also seems to work. He is hiding the truth and Truthsinger is indicative of his arc by the time he can upgrade his sword.
‘Truthsinger’ is “Sword of Truth” in Japanese, or 「ソードオブトゥルース」 (‘Sōdo obu Turūsu’) for those curious, they just added a musical element to Noah’s Blade, which also works.

The Lanz and Eunie age thing is actually pretty simple to answer. Eunie is a high entia-homs halfbreed. There's no guarantee that she'd age the same as more pure high entia. And as for Lanz, since Machina are mechanical, he could easily just need to grow himself with bigger parts. Or maybe the influence of Moebius accelerated their growth proccess so all Kevesi would age at the same rates

In the “memory” of Future Redeemed where Na’el shows the world before the fall, the announcer mentions something about “Dmitri Yuriev,”- the leader of the project that created the URTVs in Xenosaga. There is, however, no mention of UDO. There’s also very little know about the Conduit other than what we know about in Xenogears.

Question 4: The whole reason of Future Redeemed even happening was through the absence of Logos and Pneuma in the first place. Ouroboros, the hopeful wills of Origin, and Moebius, the fearful wills of Origin, work as input providers for Origin. Z said that the wills of Origin are unto God, the last person he called God was a Trinity Processor as well. Pneuma and Logos had the same role for Ontos, it is basically a representation of how humanity became Gods on their own. Z by the end is just a ruler who does what the wills of Origin want from him. Origin metal itself connectes you to the souls of Origin if you embue them with the proper emotions, it then takes the shape of said emotions. This is how Noah got a Moebius Blade pre N and how Matthew had the Pneuma core show up (it materialzed and wasn't literally there). Similarly to how Blade's resonated to the emotions of their driver upon awakening, and Origin being a giant Ontos construction, Ontos being sensible to emotions and opinions.

    • @nicovoth7243
      @nicovoth7243 Před 4 měsíci

Question 8: No idea how Noah and Mio can live past homecoming, but the reason they exist post N and M is quite simple tbh. Noah and Mio literally said it in chapter 6: they are N and M's repentance. This emotion that boiled in them for more than 1000 years gave birth to them the same way Z would be created from the emotions of fear. This is why it took so long for them to come back in the cycle. The reason A got seperated from Alpha was via the interaction of N's sword and Ghondor's Ouroboros powers. Ontos conscience is a result of Pneuma's and Logos' opinions and emotions. That conscience was supressed by Pneuma and Logos not being around, so instead Ouroboros and Moebius interaction seperated A, the conscience of Ontos, from Alpha, the pure machine.

Isn’t it implied that Aionios and Z are the manifestations of the fear of the unknown both worlds’ peoples had? That Origin basically turned that collective fear into a sentience that then created a world based on everyone’s memories?
I mean, the symbolism of the game is pretty explicit. Mobius wants to keep things the same, while Ouroboros is all about changing this world, and the City folk are fully aware they don’t know what comes next if they win the war against Mobius. And Mobius recruit people who want to stay as they are forervermore.
It follows the “change the future” aspect of the previous Xenoblade games. Plus, if Tora could create, for all intents and purposes, a living robot, he could help create a super computer that can generate a real world based off the data it’s been given.

  • @ShurikanBlade
    @ShurikanBlade Před 4 měsíci +1

Question 1: if i had to guess why Nia is queen its probably because Tora built origin and they needed someone who lives a long time there to oversee it all to make sure everything goes well in the future. Nia being flesheater and gormotti would probably make her the longest living mortal while not having the risk of lossing memories from death like a regular blade would.
Question 3: didnt it say that the characters of FR arent actually people but instead Avatars just like A. Like they still exist in origin but theyre basically playing a video game as themselves.
Question 5: Origin is a computer that stores all the data of everything in the world and puts it all back together as best as possible. Nobody is in theory even alive in origin. The reason why torna locations could probably exist is because since Aionios is made of data it can provably recreate historic areas.
The aging thing is a good question but Eunie and Lanz all look like they have at least SOME homs dna seeing how Eunies ears are small and Lanz has actual hair. Its possible that theyre like 3rd generations of later and so they age closer to homs but who knows

Regarding people of the city, Melia said "Past and Future lives, all of them were recorded on Origin", by future lives I understood she was talking about people born in Aionios. So I think they could be reborn after Origin reboot. Despite other characters saying different things, neither Crys or Ghondor really understand the Origin, Ghondor didn't even know about it before the party. Melia, on the other hand, was involved in Origin construction.
About the aging of high entias and machine, I think a lot of things change after the ends of XC1 and XC2. The conduit disappeared and Shulk asked for a world without gods. Those decisions may have affect a lot of things, like blades being enable to age and have kids (Pyra, Mythra and Brighid seems older in the photo of the end of XC3, also, there is no mention of any blade giving birth in XC2, but a lot of aginians are like hybrids of blades and humans). The high entia are forms of telethia which are cells of Bionis, which was Zanza itself. Without Zanza, the high entias (which are already all hybrids with humans since every pure high entia turned into telethia) starts to age like normal humans. The same may happened to the machine after meineth death.

I have a few theories for some of these questions:
1: Rex became king in the xenoblade 2 universe, either of a new nation formed on the new landmass, or a supernation formed of the union of all the other nations. I personally think it's the former. His name is literally the Latin word for kind, and Takahashi is too much of a chuuni for that to be a coincidence. He's also best friends with basically every royal family in the world, other than Uraya (and even then he is on good standing with them as the new leader of the Garfont mercs), so I think him becoming king makes a lot of sense, and by extension that makes all his wives into queens.
3: I'm not convinced they aged between the cutscene at the start and the actual gameplay. Shulk's hair is the only major difference, they only "look" older because they've spent the last 15 years in wartime so they have tired baggy eyes like the rest of the cast does. So the "aging" is actually just stress. If we then just assume that some stuff still grows like hair and nails and the like, there's no issue.
5: Origin was not set up to prevent the worlds from colliding, it was to wait until after the worlds had destroyed themselves to then recreate them using memory data, and send them in opposite directions. When Mobius hijacked it, they froze time then used this world creation power to make themselves a sandbox, and that's Aionios. Since it's made of data from both worlds, as time ever so slightly inches forward bit by bit (I guess the time freezing mechanic isn't perfect? They might even be using the "flame" of the soliders to keep it powered), it sometimes allows the data to collide in a way that causes the annihilations.
6: A is alpha/the ontos core crystal. The question that really needs to be asked to understand this is "where did Mobius come from?" In the base game we learn that he is a manifestation of the fear of the future felt by everyone in both worlds as their impending doom approached. But how does that somehow manifest into a human? Well, now that the DLC showed us the trinity processor and the ontos core being the central driving force of Origin, it makes sense to say that the core resonanted with mankinds fear and created X Y and Z in response to this. Therfor, as the creator of Mobius, he could technically be considered the "first", or A, the Alpha.
7: Would like to know the real answer but my GUESS would be something connected to Chrys, since he's really the only thing of note in Noah's past other than Joran, and obsessing over him is really Lanz's thing more than Noah's. Chapters 6 and 7 of the main game are often criticized as feeling rushed, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear that content was cut/abbreviated from this section. Since this section is where Noah confronts Mobius C, there may have been something here that just never made it to the final product.
8: I think you're misinterpreting Z's quote. I don't think N and M had some sort of special ability to reincarnate with their lives intact, I think Z is just referring to the fact that they made a baby, which is not bound by the laws of homecoming. So with that it still works for Ghondor's blast to be what put Noah back into the system. As for Mio, we know that after the city was destroyed M goes to Nia and helps her hide away, that's how the city eventually gets the key to her palace. Since Nia is the one that used Origin to make the ouroboros stone, it's possible she also used a power to put Mio back into the cycle. Just a theory, but I think this one makes a lot of sense. And for the record, even if Z is talking about them constantly finding each other through different lives, that's not a power unique to just them, that's memories of past lives living on in the soul, just like how Eunie can remember her death at the hands of Mobius D. So again I don't think N and M had any sort of special property that allowed them to defy the system, until after they had already become mobius and Noah and Mio are split from them.
9: The city people have souls but no bodies, and their bodies aren't recorded into Origin. The idea is that in the new world, when a new baby is born, rather than getting a wholly new soul it will get one of the recycled souls from the city folk. So the only question there is whether or not previous city people's souls that have already died are stored into Origin. If they are, then Ghondor Mattew and the like can be brought back this way as well. If not, then only currently surviving members can. As for Shania, she is brought back by Mobius, which is not really the same thing as being part of the Origin data. For all we know they just made her a homunculus body that looks like her normal one, or even used her actual body since we never see her become a husk. Or sadly far more likely is that this was just an oversight and they never intended anything to be implied by her becoming a Mobius.

Some neat little theories. I love getting massive replies so thanks.
Thing is even if you ignore Z's words, they are still the only people that are able to come back after a homecoming. N already teased the party about it when they were in prison and that's the reason Moebius beheaded people before they reached homecoming in ancient times.

My thinking with the aging thing is that people born into the world age at a normal rate, which is why Ghondor was able to age from a child to an old man unless thousands of years had passed since N's original death.
Which would explain why people from the original two worlds either don't age at all or age very slowly, and would also hint at which characters are from before the merger.
Though in Riku's case it's somewhat ambivalent, as Nopon can live for centuries or millenia.
Given dialogue in XC1 says the average lifespan is around 200 years and there's at least one who lived for 9999 years.

I actually tried a lot to understand what were that “magic” elaborated by Alrest and Bionis to respond the merging of the two worlds.
Only conclusion i reached is that Origin is nothing more than a storage, either for the “soul”, either to the memories of living being.
This concept is somehow close to the Nier Replicant/gestalt: isolating the soul/memories from the body, you can in theory reinstall the being by introducing the soul in a new body. So, that was my interpretation to Origin: they manage to store the “souls” of the living, so they could be restored after the merging of the worlds, the keep on their lifes.
Zed managed to halt the process by preventing the merge to be completed, keeping the half merged world, the Aionios, in the endless now, that means, the resistance of change by Klaus ego.
The idea of storing souls in origin creates an important link to Xenosaga: Udo is the effect of souls trying to return to physical plane. In other words, Origin is aggravating the Udo effect, by having so many souls without a body.
Maybe that was Zed intention in the end. By preventing the merging of the world and the reestablishment of Lost Jerusalem, they can keep the souls in an endless cycle of death and rebirth, giving meaning to those souls, preventing them to go crazy and become gnosis.
Regarding Shulk and Rex, i dont think either are the actual protagonists of Xenoblades 1 and 2. They call themselves “avatars” by the end of Future Reedems. I believe they are nothing more than the souls and memories of their original selves. Maybe they arent more than puppets controlled by a superior force that wants the reinstallment of Earth and retrieval of the Zohar?
Naturally Zed/Klaus intentions of keeping Aionios isnt more than a narcissistic wish to conserve their creation. And while Zed/Klaus remain as semi god of Earth/Lost Jerusalem, none will be able to return to it and retrieve the Zohar/Conduit, so maybe is Wilhem pulling the strings there, to force avatars of Rex and Shulk, as well as keeping Noah in the flow so they can finally defeat Zed.
Finally, one last parallel. The concept of returning to the cycle that Noah faces is similar to the concept of Myang of Xenogears. Myang is the mother of humanity, that will keep returning to life only to be arbiter of the civilization with the sole purpose of reviving Deus when the time was right. Sounds similar to Noah, as he keep coming till the moment he considered it was the time to proceed the plans of a higher order being

Some of my thoughts on these, as I think they're missing some context:
Question 4: Logos very well could still be dead. A lot of people assume he's still alive based on some small visual queues, but I think if Monolith wanted to tell the audience this, they would have shown the core crystal itself like they did with Pneuma, as the general audience wouldn't even consider that the man who disintegrated at the end of XC2 could ever still be alive.
For this reason, I believe N's sword didn't have Logos, and by extension, Matthew's Gauntlets didn't technically have Pneuma either. Pneuma manifested in a non-physical form in Matthew's gauntlets through the power of Ouroboros. N, having commanded him to use Ouroboros, also has this power, as he was the one who passed it down to Ghondor. So, why did Rex refer to "them" when he looked at Matthew's gauntlet and N's sword? Well, he was of course referring to BOTH of his Aegis wives, Pyra and Mythra.
Question 5: Aionios is, quite literally, Alrest and the Bionis combined. Time wouldn't have to stop if Z was only making Aionios from the leftover bits of both worlds. Furthermore, Rex, Shulk, and all the other characters who weren't assimilated by Origin wouldn't be able to get to a place like Aionios if it wasn't composed of the very same worlds they were born on. They would've had to become part of Aionios during the collision. As for Dannagh, the Tornan titan was never technically destroyed. Its corpse was still intact in the Land of Morytha. And since the desert is just sand, it being in Aionios isn't that hard to fathom.
Question 8: "We have no definitive answers". Actually, we do. In Chapter 6, shortly after the events at Agnus Castle, we get an explanation for why Noah and Mio were split apart from M and N.
"Repentance... The intentions they left behind... They turned into us..."
This is further supported in Chapter 7, when Noah speaks to N
"What you've become... is "regret" itself!"
"Really. And what does that make you, then...?"
"I am... All of us... We're hope."
In any other context, these lines could be taken as mushy writing to drive home the themes, but thanks to Origin, I believe we as the audience were intended to take these lines literally.

I was reading some of your answers and listening some of your questions, I think for you to better understand Takahashi you will have to play gears and saga fully and go in depth of those stories, even recommend reading Perfect Works. I feel like so many loose ties are difficult for a lot of people to interpret because the wavelenght of understanding between Takahashi and the Readers isnt the same if they havnt follow him before. Why will Takahashi fully explain everything when he can use that as an anchor to build more stories right? Personally some of your questions are very mislead by wrong answers as per people can tell you Dirk is Mythras son, and that could not be the case.
In the end the reason why so many questions are not fully answer is because the reboot will bring things back to where they were suppose to end before XC3. That pretty much means whatever we get in 4 or the story after this will definitely have much more important storyline that what your questions look for. And one last thing, the artbook will probably not answer all of your questions either so better not put your hopes up too high, most likely they will give you hints and concepts but not the real answer.

Regarding Mœbius A I have seen a lot of comments suggesting Zed never appointed a Consul A which, thinking about it, makes sense. Zed seems to have a major ego so appointing a Consul A, an Alpha, might take away a significant amount of power and control from him. Me personally I want to know what that Higher Power that Klaus/the Architect mentioned is. I suspect that higher power might have played a role in causing Noah and Mio to reincarnate after they live out 10 years which, as suggested in the game, would theoretically take them out of the reincarnation cycle. So could it be a Wave Existence? Honestly we had some version of the true higher power in Xenogears and Xenosaga (the Wave Existence and U-Do respectively) appear directly but never a direct appearance in the Xenoblade series so I think we are a bit overdue for an appearance.

For 4: It's probably just Malos' loose energy or he ended up in whatever collective unconscious Origin and Z are tied to and he could be recreated.
6: A is definitely supposed to be "consul" A. Her splitting from Alvis is the whole regrets/desires thing that births Moebius. She's just not listed because she's rogue and not part of Moebius or Z's aristocrats. Not to mention she fulfills Alvis/Alpha's beginning in contrast to Z's end. No, she's not a consul or Moebius, but she's the equivalent.
    8. It's probably tied to them being children of contacts. We know Mio is the daughter of Rex who along with Amalthus was a contact. It wouldn't be at all surprising to me if Noah was another child of Shulk and Fiora or Dunban, all 3 of which could be contacts based on their usage of the Monados. They became Moebius based on their regret same as everyone else. Even if their soul leaves the cycle, it's still somewhere. This isn't necessarily a problem for Nikol or Glimmer either. They likely didn't have regret and Shulk and Rex boosting their lifespan likely kicked them out of the cycle. Being a contact also is confirmed to have effects down your lineage since it affected Abel's descendants, with them being reincarnations of sorts, and God was still manifesting as him all the way in Xenosaga. That was hardcore contact he made though, not indirect like Rex, Shulk, Fiora and Dunban.
    9. Since Origin is tied into the collective unconscious and all souls come and go from the collective unconscious, it's very likely they all will be reborn someday. That's what they were saying at the end of the game.
    10. As far as the aging inconsistency goes, it might be that when Alvis remade the Onis universe, he evened out lifespans. That's a theory without any evidence from Xenogears or Xenosaga though, but the Onis universe did get remade.

I'm sure the world as the whole placed him on a pedestal and needed someone to mediate the various nations. Only person who could do that and place a collar on the nations to keep them from being stupid again was Rex and his blades. So with the Aegis being out of commission and Rex too, the only one to lead the people of Alrest was Nia
And Rex and Shulk were absorbed into Origin. They do state that they are simply Avatars of their original selves near the end. Was that wrong?

You said to leave more unanswered questions so here ,I got some questions I hoped Future Redeemed would cover but didn't.
1 - Where did Moebius actually come from? It seems X, Y, and Z were already together before the worlds collided but it's never explained where they came from.
2 - How did Moebius stop time and create Aionios? Did they use Origin or did they as a trinity use their own power? If they used Origin, how did they get control over it in the first place. If they used their own power, how did they get that strong?
3 - Where did the Iris system come from? Clearly Moebius always had it, and we can say they forced it onto everyone reborn from Origin, but how do the City people also have it? Practically everyone outside of maybe children are portrayed as just having an Iris because reasons 😅
4 - Were the Fog Beasts in Future Connected Alpha's doing or were they separate from him at that time? I can't wrap my head around the connection between them, or why they were even there. It was weird finding out Fog Beasts were somehow Alpha's power out of nowhere and with no further explaination.
5 - What is it about the Off-Seeing song that prevents the dead from returning to Origin? Does it erase Origin's memory of that person or something? Does Z just choose not to reincarnate those people? Or was Moebius lying and they just wait until everyone who remembered you dies before reincarnating you again anyways for food 😅
6 - Why do city folk evaporate into thin air when they die but people cycled through Origin leave husks behind even when their life force isn't sucked out by a Flame Clock?
7 - WTF even is the Nopon lifespan? (I'm joking, I'm aware the game doesn't want us to know but you gotta admit it's WILD that Riku has been around so long and Samon built that ship himself from start to finish)

3:08 Is it weird that Dirk is one of my favorite Xenoblade characters but I don’t think it’s likely he’s going to be Mythra’s kid? I don’t hate it whatsoever since it’s really funny/cursed at the same time and it has some interesting thematic elements to it but I have to be honest and say that the possibly seems low in general. I wouldn’t mind it if he was but the same thing goes if it was someone else. It would be nice to know who their identity is but for me it isn’t a huge deal. I used to be super obsessed with theorizing about who Mythra’s kid was but now it just gets tiring to talk about, especially when you have people constantly arguing about it too. I guess the same thing goes for other XC3 characters since they don’t have to be connected to everyone from the past games, let them be their own characters. And about Dirk he’s obviously a horrible person but I like him anyway. I just get annoyed when people only talk about him because of the Mythrakid theory, sure he’s not the best written character ever but he’s still a good villain in my eyes. Sorry if this got really long, I just wanted to give my two cents on it. Really interesting video too, let’s hope all of these are addressed in the artbook!

I'd like we could have a Xenoblade Warriors game based on the time before Future Redeemed when the two worlds collided and Z and Alpha appeared. It's realistically the last Xenoblade 3 related game we could ever get I think. I also think it could clear most confusion to just have these events presented into a game. It wouldn't even require that much scenario because we more or less already know what happened. It would be easy to include fan service cause all the characters were canonically present at the time anyway. It could just be different fights on the battlefield against the two generals X and Y before fighting Z (it would be a good opportunity to develop these 3 more as well) until Alpha appears for the final boss and it will match with the introduction scene of Future Redeemed. PERFECTION!

@@SuperSavajin I know right. It's perfect to fill the gap between 1+2 and Future Redeemed. Yeah, of course I hope a lot of exposition as well to evoke a bit of nostalgia from 1 and 2 and explain what's exactly happening currently when the worlds are about to collide. Develop the characters as much as they can as well. If Monolithsoft participates a bit to the game development as well, I think it could be really great story wise. Much like they did with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. I want the story to be 100% canon though.
There was actually rumors of a Xenoblade Warriors back in 2019.
We could have pretty much every character except some from Xenoblade 3: Matthew, A, maybe Manana, the Xenoblade 3 party members would require a slight timeskip cause we know they were kids when the time stopped (I hope it would be enough for Eunie to get her usual look since she's an High Entia) and probably N and M (except if you add post game missions during the time Z destroyed the Colony's first base located on the sea and when N and M came to exist, which would also be great to have), which is a shame though considering how great these characters are. But that's also why DLCs exist. You can still add them as not canon content.

Correction: There was never a "collision" of Bionis and Alrest. When the worlds began to drift towards eachother it was only a THEORY that they would destroy each other due to being made out of opposing elemental particles. The people feared what would happen, and that fear drove the creation of Origin. Just before the worlds were going to collide Zed awakened within origin as a manifestation of humanity's fear and froze time in the real world. He then created a false simulation that became Aionios populated by the souls stored in origin, but only some of them, mainly people between the ages of 10 and 20, to serve as soldiers in the forever war to keep mobius alive. Aionios Rex and Shulk were only summoned by Zed to fight Alpha, and weren't there from the start. Linka and Panacea were around 10 when the worlds merged so they were part of the soldier cycle, but they were freed somehow and somehow survived a few hundred years until Future Redeemed. The collision only happened AFTER Aionios was destroyed by Noah after rebooting origin and contrary to the people's fears didn't destroy both worlds, but rather merged them back into the original earth.

How is "will they meet each other again?" a cliff hanger stup for the next game, though? 😂
The answer is so obvious that the game didn't even need to show it. Imagine writing a whole story about a dude and a girl being reborn again and again, finding each other every single time, and when they end the cycle of rebirth and go back to their first and final lives, nope lmao won't see each other again. 😂that would just be extremely bad writing.
So yeah, they do meet each other again. either as soon as they go back, or about ten years later so they are about the same age as in aionios when they find each other, but... yes? they do reunite. also, FR made it even clearer that the worlds DID merge, at some point.
But then is that a setup? I do think the new earth recombined IS indeed the world of xenoblade 4, maybe even xenoblade saga 4, but who knows. But would that justify calling the end of 3 a cliffhanger? no, because we know what happens.
The blue light is probably a setup, though. unless the reason for its existence was just "oh, I felt the planet in space felt a bit too still, so I wanted to make it more lively, so I added a shooting star in the corner", ig.
One question I still do have, though (my main question, even), is about what Aionios really is between:
    - A: The actual worlds colliding with each other and merging in chaos, with Z being a... species born from the collective uncouncious of origin, if that even is possible? where all of aionios happs, then at the end recreates the whole world as it was when the world collided (or was copied on origin?) thousand(s) of years ago, even with the buildings, etc.? in which case, what happened to city people? are they not existing at all anymore? Is there even a chance that the same couple will emerge again after the worlds fuse? leading to the same children? well, statistically, it's way too impossible, I'd have a better chance winning the lottery every single day of my life, but it's a story with worldly shenanigans, so why not.
    or:
    - B: A Simulated Universe within Origin, which could explain the iris, blades, classes, rebirth, off-seeng (basically cleaning the RAM), its particles effects, etc. as it's not the real world, but still is because of the power of the collective uncouncious, it's a higher domain. That would mean the "time stopped" is rather Origin being ultra powerful and simulating all of aionios within less than a second in the other worlds. Then Origin is left after the collision of the worlds with data of the hundreads of lives those people experienced, plus data about people that weren't even born when the collision happened (and still don't, out of origin).
It's really the end cutscene of showing child noah again that makes it so complicated. if they showed nothing, then it could have simply been A, the worlds merged and were "destroyed", replaced by aionios for about a thousand of years, and then the worlds finished fusing, and Noah and Mio live a happy life in their final one with each other in this new merged worlds... the game wouldn't show that, but that would've been the logical conclusion to the story of 3. but then this cutscene shows bionios again, so idfk......
At least there ARE reasonable explanations possibles, so it's not like it's a plot hole. But my main issue is probably with what Z even is, in the end, and having this answered would help a LOT. if it's B, a Simulation, then he's just a collective uncouncious skin design for the "admin", and he's a litteral endless loop in the program. If it's A, the actual worlds colliding... idk, is he from an actual species that "feeds" on the collective thoughts to take form? or a being literally born of the collective uncouncious of the people stored on origin? then, how? is he even real, or an idea?
Not knowing that is what makes me dislike Z as a whole. Zanza, Amalthus, Egil, Malos, ... you could almost write their actual biography, including how they were born, and a bit of story leading to their existence. they're "real". they FEEL real, at least. with Z? "he's born of the people's fears of the future". that doesn't means shit. (and is most likely a way the character describe him to simplify anyway)
Also another quick question on my mind: were there a law that babies on both worlds had a legal obligation to have at least one parent be a human/hom? because EVERY SINGLE CHILD is a mix between human/hom with another race, and never a mix between other races. I would have loved to see a Urayan/Indoline, for instance. Or even better: a Machina/High Entia. ...named Kalas for the sake of referencing Baten Kaitos. and another question with that: did only children on bionis/altrest end up in the cycle? or are Reyn, Morag, Tyrea, Juju, etc soldiers in aionios we never met? along with any pure non-human/hom race people? (counting half high entia as its own race, reason being: the pure high entia overdosed on ether)

    • @SuperSavajin
      @SuperSavajin  Před 4 měsíci +1

I didn't go fully in depth with why they won't answer if the party meets again actually. I think the games message pretty much is that even without knowing the outcome we still need to move forward. It's set up to give hope for the future while staying uncertain. So I don't think we will get confirmation anytime soon.
I also lean more toward Aionios being an Origin creation because of the irises and the blade weapons but I would like to get a more concrete answer.
And the different races part is what confuses me the most because they likely didn't have that much time before the collision. If we estimate 10 years before the Rex picture and then maybe 10 years afterwards they still only had about 20 years which isn't enough time to create human like machina and high entia.

And if they don't get recreated, I find it extremely unbelievable that everyone was ok with dying. There was already so much drama between the city people and the soldiers, like Nael, why in the world would they give up their own lives for the soldiers. And as you showed, the game even tries to tell the message that the new generation of city people are the future, yet here we are doing the complete opposite

    1. A pointless question, really. Why did any woman become a Queen? Bloodlines and inheritance, mainly. When Rex rebuilt the Blade system by freeing all Blades from their Drivers and giving them the ability to reproduce biologically, the culture of Alrest was massively shook up. It seems completely logical that a contingent of Blades, now free and presumably mortal, would want a fellow Blade to lead them. Since Nia was one of the few who climbed the World Tree and met Klaus, she would have earned a great of respect from her fellow Blades. Mythra and Pyra would reject becoming Queens flat out, if offered, as they both had their fill of limelight. Brighid would likely reject being a Queen as well, as she only ever had interest in the country of Mor Ardain. Brighid likely continued to serve in the military but wouldn’t accept a royalty position as they already had a royal family. Pandoria likewise was only ever interested in Zeke and probably became the Queen of Tantal, provided the country was still able to exist in the unified super continent.
    2. There is no absolute confirmation that Mio was Nia’s child or that Kagiroi was Pyra’s child. Kagiroi’s parentage is only slightly hinted at in Future Redeemed, but never confirmed. We have no way of knowing the true names or lives of Mythra’s, Pyra’s, or Nia’s babies. Literally everything about those three infants is pure speculation.
    3. No arguments here. Agreed, we do not have concrete information on how the flow of time or aging for those outside of Z’s control works.
    4. This is also speculation. Takahashi loves to sprinkle bits like this into his works. But until confirmed by canon text that clearly says that that is Pneuma’s Core Crystal, we cannot simply say it is.
    5. The post-collision is explained quite clearly in-game. I suggest you rewatch Nia’s explanation scene. She says that the collision returned everything to light - absolutely NOTHING but light (and Origin itself) remained. Origin is formed from a special metal that is an embodiment of light, thus Origin survived the collision and was meant to use the memories contained within it to rebuild both worlds as separate planets from a data snapshot of the time before their mutual destruction. Z gained control of Origin before the planned rebuild of the separate worlds occurred and used it to build his own version of a single, unified world instead. As Z himself is implied to be made from the negative feelings of the memories stored within Origin, it makes sense that he would make his world FROM those memories, which include the Mechonis Sword. Dannagh Desert was not “totally destroyed”. The Titan upon which Torna once existed fell to the bottom of the cloud sea. You explore a portion of that dead Titan before climbing the world tree in XBC2, thus its data was included in the Alrest half of Origin’s memory banks.
    6. It is NOT confirmed that Ghondor split A from Alpha. Ghondor certainly fought Alpha and used that odd green explosion ability during that fight, but we do not have concrete evidence to suggest that he was responsible for the split.
    7. No arguments here. Agreed, we do not have concrete information on the name Noah chose for Lucky Seven.
    8. Agreed, we do not know why Noah and Mio always return to the cycle. My personal headcanon for this is that since they both never died together, one always died without the other, the living one’s love for the other was so powerful, it pulled their soul back into the cycle each death, so they could be reborn and fall in love again, each time. It is a concept that Takahashi has used before with Fei and Elly in Xenogears.
    9. Agreed, we do not know what happened to the City people after Z’s defeat. The end scene in Future Redeemed shows the two worlds of Alrest and Shulk’s world becoming a single planet, so it is implied that they were somehow added to Origin’s memory banks, but this is not confirmed.
    10. Eunie, Lanz, and all of the others are not pure-blood High Entia, Machina, or Homs. After the events of XBC1, and the total removal of the threats of the Mechons and the Telethia, the varied peoples of Bionis and Mechonis began to intermingle. All of the Kevesi characters are decedents of the mixed races. This is why Eunie’s headwings are so much smaller than pure blood High Entia and Lanz does not have cybernetic body parts. Likewise, all of the Agnesian characters are descendants of the mixed human and reborn Blades. Thus, we do not have full information on how long any of them live. Could be fifty years, could be hundreds of years. We do not know.

I think Glimmer borrows attributes from both Pyra and Mythra to make it ambiguous if Rex goes with either at the end of Xenoblade 2. Maybe Mio's father is not Rex, and the photo is simply a reunion photo

I didn't think we need a better confirmation but maybe the artbook will finally make that clear.

But we know they both had kids. We’ve seen the photo. And we know Pyra’s kid has brown hair and Mythra’s blonde. It can’t really be ambiguous if we already know the answer.

so i am pretty sure they all just look the same age to look the same age. it would be really hard to write a story a bout a group of kids when the definition of kids differs by like a 100 year span. even if high entia are still kids with 50 would there be no logical explanation be to how they act like a 15 year old. the simple fact of having that much life experience regardless of how their brain develops would make this really weird

I actually don't want them to drop the unique lore they had for each game to make it fit more in new settings. I know that having beings that can outlive 100 human lives can create many problems in the future but it would be a shame to lose unique races and make them more uniform. I think it worked great for Aionios because it's just Origin shenanigans tho

I have TOO many questions about Xenoblade 3. And unfortunately, not enough of a good story to fondly look back on. Its amazing to me how rushed 3 is compared to even 2. Such a disappointing game. At least the DLC was really good.

The fact that they left so many loose ends is down to bad writing. Even Future Redeemed didn’t answer many.

Your comment about Glimmer not being all of them is fair, but I also think it could be.
The thing about Origin is that was supposed to essentially kill everyone and rebirth everyone. Nikkol looks like shulk and fiora's kid and is him.
But there also 1 m 1 f. The xenoblade world is just goofy enough that it could pull a 1 m x 1f 1f especially with mythra and pyra being the 'same' person. It could be their 'aether' is similar enough that offspring share that flux of shared aether. Especially with Rex being the father of both. Which is why it wouldn't happen for Mio, since Nia isn't an aegis / isn't a split persona of pneuma/mythra/pyra. Glimmer has Mythra's personality, pneuma's hair style, and pyra's colors. So I could see monolith doing something like this.

tbh I call Noah's Sword the Nanado but Xenoblade 3's Open End left me miffed.. kinda like Xenoblade X but with the difference that 3 had a Season Pass with an Expansion to the Story.. and it was a Prequel.. we left Mio and Noah seperated. At least 1&2 left with everyone happy.. In 3 they all wanted to live together in the world they ended.. but I gotta admit those final Amiibo Bonusses are dope!^^

    About Mythra"s kid:
I think that the kids of Pyra and Mythra somehow merged, because Glimmer looks like Pyra, but speaks like Mythra. Maybe origin was kinda confused, because Pyra and Mythra are technically the same person, just different personalities.

    Why does this game suck
