- VR - Virtual Reality Project realized in Unreal Engine 4.19 compiled for WMR devices (Windows Mixed Reality).
In this case I use a Samsung Odyssey although you could use any HMD such as Oculus, HTC VIVE ... etc.
In this second video, I show how you can transform, for example, an Architecture Project with homes, common areas and a park, into an incredible Virtual Reality experience.
The client can go through the project completely and see in great detail how his life could be there.
The Promoter would not have to assume any previous risk, since the whole Project would be carried out in a Virtual way, so that customers can visit it and decide whether to buy or not.
Felicitaciones
Gracias Isaac!. Un saludo!.
Muy bueno Javier. Bravo
Gracias crack!!
Perfect but the big question is could you use windows mixed reality for unreal engine vr editor??
Yes, it can be used perfectly
Wow .So good
Perfect! How did you make Samsung Odyssey work with UE? I just got the device. I haven't even figured out how to stop Mixed Reality Portal from automatically starting when I put on the HMD.
To work properly, you must install WMR for Steam
I tried and it worked like a charm. Thanks! But is it possible to stop MR Portal from automatically starting? I now have to run my packaged UE4 VR games in Steam first, wait until the game starts and then put on the HMD, otherwise MR Portal will always kick in and I cannot be in the VR game.
Saludos.
Really Awesome sir. I can see your Effort.
I am working in a Port Project 3D modeling, Later we are planned to make it in VR. Is this Possible?
Also could you suggest whether this is possible in unity to maintain a 600 Acres area project VR?
For 600 acres... You better move to UDK.
@@SamuelCarothers Thanks for that. This my most inspired vr videos at my early stage..Do you have any social media contact like linkedin or something..
Perfectamente. Un saludo
Excellent work, just one qusetion.
Are you using an HDRI?
Thanks!! Yes I used hdr
@@cruzbolanosricardo3311 Hi Ricardo! Thank you for your answer! Do you know if I have to install SteamVR for WindowsMixedReality to use this plugin? Or its necessary just the WindowsMixedReality program? Im trying to use Odyssey in Unreal, but when I actived this plugin, the VR Mode button just disappeared!
Great! Could you tell me the difference between Vive and Odyssey? How is Odyssey compared to Vive? Thank you.
Odyssey are lighter and more comfortable. In addition there is a significant improvement in image quality. I really like how well your positioning works and the best thing is that I can carry them in a backpack and simply connect them to a laptop.
Thank you so much.I am not a programmer. I want to use VR just for archiviz fo demo. You mean Odyseey is enough?
That's right
how did you switch controlers to samsung odyssey, my are still htc vive and no idea how to change it
thx...go to dig in windows
sir , you can make tutorial ?
Dear Javier! With this comment, I would kindly ask for your help and support in setting up the UE4 project to use Samsung Odyssey+ in VR, as it is shown in your video. I'm desperate, I had been using different templates, followed different video tutorials, and wasted almost whole month to figure it out how it must be set up, but unfortunately nothing works. HMD and controllers are tracking very well, but buttons aren`t working at all. Please, help to solve this issue. Best regards, UE4 desperate enthusiast.
Hi David! I'm having the same problem here!!! I'm trying to use Odyssey inside UE4, but the buttons aren't working! Did you find a solution to this problem? I'm really desperate too!
Juliana Bambini Hi Juliana! Honestly speaking, after my comment the developers of the framework that I used, had updated the version of framework. As a result, I had plugged in my Odyssey, and everything worked perfectly.
Anyway, if you know that your controller is being tracked by PC & UE4, you have to add the windows mixed reality button bindings, in “project settings, input”. Just add the appropriate binding for your WMR joystick
@@davidgeronymo4849 Thank you so much for your answer! I'm new in UE, so I'm trying to learn how to use this plataform.
When you said that your Odyssey worked perfectly, were you using the UE 4.25 version? And did you use it only with the program Windows Mixed Reality, or inside the SteamVR?
I uploaded one binding here, but I dont know if it is the right one. I'm really confused about this, and I'm about to quit... If you know any tutorial to help with this, I would be really glad!!
Juliana Bambini I’m using Advanced VR Framework v3.0, you can find the plugin on the epic games market and the tutorials also there.
Please, take in mind that windows mixed reality works with UE4, from scratch and only using Steam VR.
The menu button in Odyssey controller = WMR shoulder button in UE4 bindings
