I've been doing my own version of hyper nourishing based on everything I could find online - so the green smoothies, no meat / fish / dairy / oils / grains / nuts etc and bulking up on kale and greens, and omega 3 via flax seeds etc...after 2 weeks my dry eyes which have been plaguing me since November have hugely improved. I'm impressed. Contemplating integrating a few more things into the diet (still plant based, etc) to see how it goes...

Same diet will help with basically any illness. This super packs your cells with the nutrients it needs to start repairing cells. Once you've fully healed (not necessarily cured) then a whole food plant based diet would be recommended. Keeping inflammation low for AS is big. I'd also recommend a daily exercise routine, and I'm sorry because I know some days getting out of bed might be that exercise. Do your best and stay as consistent as possible.

You can leave out the ones, that are high in oxalates: spinach and swiss chard. Kale (high oxalate in kale is a myth) and Bok Choi for example are very low in oxalate. I eat them in masses and I'm sensitive on oxalates, and it's ok for me. You can google for lists of oxalate content. There are many low oxalate greens

I did the hyper nourish for about two weeks, and felt fantastic! Then I went back to my old way of eating, and have a lot of pain. I didn’t realize until going off the hyper nourish protocol how powerful it was. Dr. G mentions using flaxseed for the essential fatty acids. However, Chia seeds are a much better option. There are numerous articles online stating that flaxseed has a chemical in it which converts to cyanide. In fact, the London times did an article about it. So, Flax is not a good option for everyday use.

No. Flaxseed is very good and SAFE to consume every day. Please do more research before cherry-picking one article.

Flax is healthy in normal consumable amounts, not the insane amounts in the studies mentioning cyanide.

I think eating like that definitely helps, but listening to her story let’s not forget that she had tons of chemo while she was younger which reset her immune system and starting to eat super healthy and feel good when you have a “ clean slate” is much easier.

      1) Let’s not forget in listening to her that she did have chemo and then went to college and medical school (8 years) and she continued to have Lupus related health issues including TIAs, hardly. “clean slate”.
      2) Let’s not forget that she talks about being helped by medications and treatments and does not disparage use of those for patients as needed, however she is helping people possibly to reverse their chronic conditions and avoid progression of their diseases, side effects of treatments and long lives instead of misery and longer deaths.

Also against eating meat and dairy and eggs, one question arises how come these hunter gatherer tribes that still exist today survive of of eating meat and eggs and have no autoimmune diseases ? Let’s get down to the basics.

maybe cause they no sit at a desk all day long, or food was different, or, its a myth how much of that most tribes actually ate. wild berries and roots were staples for most. Meat was a real treat.
