    I think a 32” stander along with a good 21” self propelled like a Honda would be a great mower arsenal for a solo guy doing the smaller residential $30-40 lawns all day.both mowers would fit on a 5 X 8 trailer easily

    • @james1795
      @james1795 Před 5 lety +1

      $30-$40? Yes, per day. More like $8-$9 per lawn. Maybe for doing 15'x30' strips of yard in the cities. 5'x8' trailer? Ha! Both mowers would fit in your glove box! But yes, it sounds like a nice set up for a youngster just getting started.

    • @lawncarelife

      We have rather small streets here in suburban Australia so even the 7x5 trailer that we use is pushing it. Most guys around here don't go bigger than 8x5 because it simply doesn't fit. We run with a 42" zturn in the back and a 21" Honda commercial in the front beam-mounted mower box. Works great for the majority of lawns around here.

I dont think much of the offerings at the big box stores. Maybe a gravley z-turn. what are your thoughts? very few obsticles on my new property and flat terrain in ground irrigation.

    I commented on another person videos but the muffler runs under the front cover and above the deck. If you ever need to adjust that belt or something you may burn yourself unless you wait awhile for it to cool down. Not smart to put it directly above the belt.

  • @happilyretiredmark2964

    Different strokes for different folks but I just don't get the "stander" thing. Why stand when you can sit and accomplish the same thing with a different style mower?

    • @nateburnett8425
      @nateburnett8425 Před 5 lety +2

      I like both but personally I like the stand on mowers and the walk behinds with a sulky a lot better than a zero turn mower. Mainly because a zero turn mower is horrible on hills. That is their main disadvantage they can take hills for shit without sliding down and spinning. Stand on mowers are better at it on hills but then again I have not seen a mower out perform a walk behind on hills. to me that is the best all around mower in my personal opinion. But it all depends on the type of yards you will be cutting. But that's just my opinion on it

      Xavier Sepeda depending on the size of the backyards once you get through the gate, getting a bobcat, scag or any one of those 32” commercial walk behinds is probably your best bet. You can definitely find them used for under 3k, they’re probably around 3.5-4k new anyway! My dad used a 32” bobcat for years and it was a tank.

    I'm an exmark guy and just happened to go by my local dealer today. They had one I think a 48" e series. This dealer lives and breaths exmark. Let's just say I won't be getting one after listening to him. It does seem a little much and not at all a simple design.

      @@buffalostate1 Mainly the lack of serviceablity. I have a vantage and 2 zts. I noticed myself that h.o.c adjustment on the e series is done by changing the spacers on the castor's. pull pins take out spacers on all four castor's instead of pulling a single pin. This is on the e series. Most operators look for simplicity and this design seems to be going the other way. You need to see this up close to judge it.

      @marcsmith3781 Před 5 lety

      @@theehgroup7006 I know that. Bit why go to an adjustment system that was used 30 years ago to save money? Exmark had a huge price jump this year from what I have seen. I will be looking at other brands. It's all about volume and cost effectiveness for the the little guy. They are catering more to fleet buyers not the guy who buys one or two units a year. I have an exmark fleet myself they are good mowers but I'm in it to make money. I actually went with another brand a month ago and I'm in the process of trading out of my remaining exmarks as well. Not to mention cross reference on parts is almost non existent in some cases forcing you to use oem parts that are triple the price you can pay for other brands
