I've got exactly the same car, and I've tried to do this on my country's motorway, and my engine blew up.
I have 306 1,4. 170 isn't a problem
Have 206 1.4 175kmh
206 sw gti 2.0, never done over 160, but it should go 200

Hmm, I have the 206 1.4 HDI 2008, only 50kw unfortunately...4 doors, 190km/h maximum ... I was scared it will fall apart but it didn't, I find it a very reliable car if you take care of it and if you need to drive long distances to work for example, the consumption it's pretty good, I think I did 900km with one full tank once, but in general only 800km.
Late to the party, but here is my side of the story about the car. I have the 1.4 XS 16v with 90 hp and with one full tank it did nearly 400km and it STILL had half a tank left for me to go around. As far as reliabilty goes, I don't know much since I own it for a few months now and I don't a full "picture" to have a clear opinion. The previous owner put around 125k km and he kept it at a very good condition. Although, I want to mod some minor things on it, I just hope it will be reliable and fun to drive whenever I want or need it

It does easily go 190,mine is a 1.6 109hp.Easy goes 0-100 at 8.5-9.0sec if you push it right.

yeah it is, you do it to keep the turbo running but this does indeed cause wear to the clutch though you'd never want to do that in long terms.

Pienso que se han quedado algunos caballos por el camino.Por la velocidad que alcanza, lo que le cuesta y el régimen máximo que consigue, ese motor está sobre los 65 cv/4800. Aún así, consigue una buena velocidad por la aerodinámica del 206, pero un desarrollo de 33,2 en 5a. es demasiado para ese pequeñín.
Por lo que vi nunca paso a 5ta cuando lo iba hacer cambio de pista bajando a 3ra

Yes always...and Fuel consumption is excellent...last 500 km trip i get 3.2l/100km with 1.6hdi..

I'm looking for a new car the last while but I'm slightly on a budget but also really would like something that doesn't necessarily have to be a rocket but atleast moderately fast, peppy and fun to drive. So the cars I'm looking at are these Peugeot 1.6 (110hp) petrols, now thanks to you the 1.6 diesel too. Or something like the 1995-2000 Honda civic 1.5 Vtec with the B15Z6 engine in, I think it's the (115 hp) one or the 1.6 non vtec civic which is 109 horsepower if I'm not mistaken and lastly the 2000-2005 Chrysler/Dodge neon 2.0 with 136 horsepower or something like that, that one looks quite nice actually since it has leather seats etc. They are all in my price range and now it's just a matter of deciding which one. I also saw the old Mazda mx6's are pretty cheap and fast but I'm not sure if they are good when it comes to reliability, fuel consumption and part availability.

Yes, 165 mph would be equal to 265 kph which is clearly impossible with this kind of car and engine (it's not powerful, 75 ch). Trust me I have the same haha
I did around 185 km/hr(115 mph) in my 2014 Nissan Versa ST CVT and it has 109 hp. It feels pretty fast in that car.
