Taking a mini cruise to Oslo from Copenhagen giving 5 hours there.Thought i had a plan with it bein a compact city but your very informative videos are throwin up allsorts of new stuff. Should have stayed one night at least.Damn.
You can walk through Karl Johan street from west to east, see the Opera building, and then walk from the Opera up along Akerselva river to see Grünerløkka. It should be doable in 4 or 5 hours, depending on how long time you spend on each spot.

Nice to hear from you! No, Akerselva is heading North, while Vigelandsparken is to the West. You can walk up by the river to the Sagene area, and take bus 20 from there to Vigelandsparken. It leaves frequently from Arendalsgata bus stop: goo.gl/maps/3BNowmGmWnTGntia7 That should be past 8:25 in the video.
The river runs in the east part of Oslo, but it's not the devider of east/west. The devider is the ridge that runs from Kontraskjæret by Akershus Festning, through the city to Sagene.

Hey! I’m moving to Oslo soon with my Australian Shepherd and I was wondering why one literally never sees people walking their dogs in ur videos? I mean there’s not a single one walking through town or along all those footpaths. 🤔
Must be just coincidence, lots of people have dogs in Oslo. I used to see them from my apartment walking their dogs in all kinds of weather. Maybe that's why, because they walk them closer to where they live, and my videos are mostly from high street and downtown areas. Not sure about this though :)
yup, lots of dogs in NOrway and Oslo, they walk them morning and afternoon, evening, most people are working dayshift, and its mor convenient to take them to parks than busy streets... usually.. From the other Norwegian,-)

It's pretty safe, but like every city, there are bad areas. The path along the lowest part of Akerselva has been used by drug dealers for decades. During daytime it's OK because there will be lots of normal people, but at night there can be some shady types there. Most of the violence in Oslo happens at very specific times in certain areas. Friday and Saturday night Jernbanetorget and Brugata bus stops can be a bit dangerous because there are lots of drunk/drugged people there. Watch out for Romanian pick pocket gangs. One of them stopped me in the street and stole my phone! But I immediately noticed it and got it back. Apart from petty theft Oslo is pretty safe. After all, there are only about 30 murders in the whole of Norway every year.
