    Not possible... you're forgetting, after impact, a lot of the internal doors were jammed shut..as like out of alignment. The building itself swayed quite some distance after the collision & structures became warped. So I'm thinking the precise mechanisms that allow the gantry to move down the building would have been warped at some stage, thus jamming the gantry altogether. Just my thoughts...

    There’s a video taken from the perspective of rescue helicopter on 9/11. They got close to the rooftop of the towers but they couldn’t see anyone (obviously the doors to the roof were locked, too) and there was far too much smoke, it wouldn’t have been safe or possible to make the attempt.

    You don't need to get to the ground floor, just under the main fires, have something to break a window and then get down from the inside. Not sure how fast those window washers move though but since it's not taking you to ground level and the odds of firefighters being able to rescue you from the 9th floor with all the debris and once the south tower collapsed, nobody was going to take a chance of getting crushed.

      A parachute would not worked either. There were well over 800 people trapped in both building. Can you imagine 800 plus people trying to use a parachute while panicking. Their parachutes would have got entangled. They would have smashed into the other building. Also you have to be properly trained to use a parachute. That mean the CEO of each company would have had to pay to get every employee trained, and also purchase the parachute. That could have banked rupt a company because the training, and the product itself is expensive. The only thing that could have saved those people would have been the staircase. They where in the center in the building. If they where located in the 4 corners of the building they probably would have been have able to go down.

You see him sitting down in the photos after the north tower was hit but before the south tower. Then in the photos after the south tower was hit there was piles of debris piled up right where he was sitting. Imagine sitting there unable to move and nobody dares come and help you because the jumpers are falling all around you. Then the South tower gets hit and you see the debris flying right at you. Then it ends.

  • @TishaHayes
    @TishaHayes Před 20 dny +2

    Well, the building also "torqued" by the impact; It just takes one of the tracks to be slightly misaligned and the mechanism would not get past that point. If you look at the photographs the entire skin was disrupted all around the tower, even if it had not blown out the walls yet.
    With the jumpers, imagine how bad the situation would be on the ground. Do you think that firefighters are going to have time to set up either a ladder or a air bag when you have 150-200 pound human bodies exploding like bombs next to you. If you read the transcripts from the firefighters there are many details given of how firefighters and rescuers were killed by jumpers. It was not a one-off thing, they were coming down constantly.

    I appreciate your videos. I was 20 when this happened and I watched a good bit of it live on TV, but it wasn't until You Tube and high speed internet entered my life many years later that I was able to fully grasp what happened that day. There are so many what if's, but the thing is, the average person had no idea those buildings would collapse so quickly. I'm sure a few engineers did know, but getting information to the masses had to be filtered though regular news media and unfortunately instead of focusing on getting important information out (e.g. there is one stairwell in tower 2 that is clear enough to get down) they were more interested in trying to figure out who saw what and what's happening right now. Nothing against the reporters - they were in just as much shock as the rest of us were, and I think people just didn't think on those terms back then. I fully believe that the reason why everyone lived during the "Hudson" plane crash was because of 2001. Those ferry drivers had already jumped in to help evacuate the island just a few years earlier, and this time people were more of the mind-set that you can't just wait for the official people to help - you have to do what you can to help, immediately, because the official rescuers can't always make it on time.

    Everyone mentions it was mechanical, BUT it had to have a manual override. This is before all of this digital electronic stuff. Everything had a manual override or pulley system. Even if the pully system was slow he only needed to get down below the impact zone to rescue a few people.
    But if the building was warped it would have to be in a corner where it wasn't warped to lower it down.
    Most people weren't thinking logically that day so if you had something heavy enough or a glassbreaker he could have broken the glass at the 9th floor.
    Which is why the men stuck in the elevator were damn lucky a few guys had the idea to break through the wall to the bathroom in less than 1 hour.

    The instinct for survival would be go down and be under the flames, if you got to the ninth floor and got through a window you could escape. If I recall correctly, a man climbed the outside of the towers many years ago, someone also did a high wire walk between them in the 1970's, that would be on my mind as a possible escape plan, to use the cladding as a means of going down, my other idea would have been the lift shafts if possible, to slide down the cables to the next shaft level. I simply don't know how it would be for myself because I was safe and watching it on TV as it happened, seeing people jumping and the despair of those trapped above the flames just knowing they were likely to die that day.

I also wonder if flight 93 was able to breech the cockpit a minute sooner if they could’ve some how regained control and actually land the plane at the closest airport. I don’t know if any passengers on that flight had any experience flying. I’m sure it would be a slim chance.

    I'm pretty sure that even if you could make it down to the 9th floor via the window washing platform, if you had jumped from that height, even if you survived initially, you would most likely break your legs and die later on, either through trauma and blood loss, if not from falling debris, people jumping, and the collapse of the towers themselves. So no, I'm pretty sure you'd be doomed, either way.

    So, out of thousands of people in the South tower, how many people would you have been able to get on the washer platform? Maybe 7? And in the amount of time they had after the North got hit, if you by chance had 7 people already on the platform, with only 20 minutes before the second plane hit the South tower, I highly doubt you would have made it down very far. No Sir, it would have been quite futile a task.
