I wasn't fortunate enough to go, but loving the series for 50 y, as I am 54, I have lived vicariously through everyone. When Jonathan said "I'm home" and "That's my mama", I realized that it meant enormously more to the cast. You all did a phenomenal job and the fans really do appreciate it!
Even I cried when Jonathan said he was home....Home is something we all long for and treasure if we have it. Thanks to Jonathan for his honesty and openess.
Is there any video of that? I loved him in the show.

Yes there is. Go to the series panel with Johnathan and Allison.
Dean Butler is so good behind the mic. He needs his own podcast in the future
Love this, as Almanzo said - “There is no LHOTP without Michael Landon.”
I cried when Jonathan said he was home. I used LHOTP as an escape from my being sick as a child. Michael Landon left a great legacy! I cried the day he passed like I lost my own father.
I was at Simi 50th, and almost every one in the audience was crying over Jonathan gilberts remarks
Dean Butler really does still look amazing and such a genuine guy.
I volunteered for set up Thursday and then Saturday and Sunday at the entrance for indoor experience. It was so fun talking to people. Getting to hear their stories. People from all over the world. They were all so happy and excited and patiently waiting in line. What a fabulous weekend! ❤
Alison "Get the Wig" Arngrim is a riot. This thing is going to blow up. Jonathan Gilbert? I am bawling over here.
I wasn't able to attend as finances are what they are but hearing Jonathan's comments from this panel got me choked up a lot. I doubt that any show can top this for their 50th anniversary. I just wonder what the next Little House celebration will be like. I am all but certain Mike and and Laura and all of the cast and crew who have gone before were all looking down with a ton of pride amazement at the amount of love that there still is for this show after all of these years.
thank you all for doing these events and keeping the show and what it stands for fresh in peoples minds. This world can never ever have too much of this kind of a good thing at a time when it is needed more then ever.
Your last sentence is absolutely profound! 😉
"Bob! Get the WIG!!" lol
Thank you Allison for being so nice to me. I'm the one that told you Luke marries Nellie was the best episode ever!!
Im in england so was unable to attend in person but thanks to so many people including livin on a prairie who i discovered at the weekend i was able to watch videos, lives and see photos! Incredible! Admiring you all so much to be chatting morning after all the craziness! ❤
This time for Little House to shine for the cast and fans is heaven sent. Saying yes, Michael and cast, you did good. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the hard work you did as kids!
Thank you. Yes. Little house is healing. I have often returned to Walnut Grove when going through troubled times in my life. Thank you.
A beautiful tribute to Mr. Landon. ❤
Dean and Alison have such great attitudes. What great people!!
For everyone of those who came there was probably 9-10 that would have loved to be there but simply couldn't make it, I was one of them. So it's even bigger than it seemed to you. Would have given everything to be there, with my "TV-family", but there was not enough time to plan a trip that far away. Getting to see videos on YT and having this podcast makes it feel so much better. Even though it"s obvious I missed the happening of a lifetime, I still got to share it with you somehow. Wouldn't have been able to dream this up when I grew up watching LHOP and finding the family and the Pa of my dreams. It feels like ML saved my life, and I will always love him and LHOP with all of my ❤
I attended on Saturday and it was truly an amazing day.
I have been a fan since the pilot movie, I was in 5th grade, and instantly fell in love. I am so bummed I did not get to meet you, Dean, you were away doing your panel. I did however get to meet Allison for the second time, and she signed my photo that I had taken with her back in 2018. I just have to say how nice it is to know that all of the stars still have such a love for Little House, and it showed by their presence at the festival. The sets were absolutely incredible, I will remember my day always. One regret I have is that being shy, I sort of froze, and was unable to really Talk to those that I met. Allison was easy because I’ve met her before, but Patrick,Charlotte and Melissa all I could muster was high, it’s so nice to meet you LOL. Looking forward to other events in the future , and I am determined to get that picture with you, Dean, at that time! 😊. Thank you for all of the planning, you all did an amazing job.
7:37 Alison is so funny!
It was so fun to see everyone there I literally was star struck!!!!!
So cool you got to go! Did you meet any of the cast in person?
Hi Yes I did I met everyone they were so kind!!!!!!
I’d like to hear about Nancy Oleson. I couldn’t believe someone could behave so much worse than Nellie as a child. When Nellie came back for a visit, even she was shocked at Nancy’s behavior, saying, “I wasn’t that bad, was I?” 😂
I Am. 63 Years Old
Still Like Little House On The
Prairie.
I couldn’t come but I loved seeing pictures that people posted on Facebook of the event. It was a great family show that I get to watch again and again. Loved seeing the picture of Allison and Jonathan together again.
Wish we could have been there. Miss shows like this!!!!
I wish I were there! I am definitely a fan of LHOTP! I found comfort in this show during pandemic
I loved Little House so much. The Waltons also had a huge celebration about their 50th too.
Family Freindly but not even thinking it is at the time. I actually 1st saw of this on a CZcams Channel German in Venice. He is from Germany now living in Venice California. He watched the show in Germany when he was a kid. I am watching all the podcasts now too❤
Yes! I viewed his video of that amazing weekend yesterday right here on CZcams! His was really good and covered so many areas!
Alison Arngrim 15:06 you done such a great Cameo for my Mom we HAVE to watch it every so often. SO FUNNY! 😂😂 AND we need another Cameo from you and the rest of the Cast. Every single one. Pamela Bob, can you relate?😂 big Hug
I have so been wanting to hear everyone's perspective on the weekend and to hear some behind the scenes stories! This is great! Thank you so much! Can't wait to hear more!
Thank you for helping fans to celebrate and enjoy all things Little House.
This whole thing, this last week, has been so much fun to watch online...wish I could of been there though😊
Alison-May I suggest you write a new book. An account of the shenanigans during the 50th! Start NOW while you're memories are fresh!
25:55 The only thing more important than Jonathan feeling welcome.❤
Yes! When Calls the Heart and Love Comes softly bring so much joy to me! ❤❤❤
YES! ❤❤❤
10:34 -
*"BOB! BOB!! GET THE WIG!!! GET THE WIG!!!!"*
I told Patrick that Melissa confessed to a whole tent that she had a crush on him..he was like WHAT???? SHE SAID THAT???? It was hilarious!
I think everyone could have seen that.
I went on Saturday and what a treat it was to see everyone and meet fans from everywhere. It was great! ❤
38:40 The entire premise of Livin' on a Prairie.❤
Love these podcasts !! Also it is special for Leslie to mention Michael’s part in When Calls the Heart and Love comes softly series !!
22:10 Gosh. Even hearing Pamela quote him is powerful.
Chris did a fantastic job with the panels. Some of the best I've seen.
You tuber "German in venice" covered the event quite well
I was unable to attend but seeing highlights on CZcams I can't thank you enough for your hard work. And a delight it has been to view this podcast
14:50 Now THAT'S a grand entrance.😂
Thank you all 4 the tour loved it
I'm so glad and happy that I went to the festival. I still have a mental jetlag, my mind is still there. Greetings from Germany
I wasn’t able to attend, I love all the pictures that people posted on the Facebook and CZcams page and I hope in about five years to another one and I will go to that one and I was really hoping that Jonathan Gilbert would show up and he did I’m very happy for that….
I'm 55, traveled extensively... but going to the Simi 50th and the bus tour of big sky ranch was a highlight of my life
Michael Landon ❤
I wished that I could have attended. I am sure there are 10’s of thousands of others like me from all over the world ❤
Congratulations to you all on the recent reunion! Wishing everyone continued success and safety with the events to come! 🏠📺😊
it was incredible loved it and will never forget this day thanks
It was one of my best days. Loved the show for all 50 yrs..felt like I was with my people!!! Amazing to see the cast❤❤❤
My wonderful show.
Love, love, love this episode! Last weekend was truly unforgettable. I still haven’t gotten over how incredible it was❤
😂😂 this is Awesome!!!! Willy Willy! WILLY!!
I loved Little House of the Prairie so much and my family loves it still! We love Michael Landon too and his wonderful family! Thank you so much! ❤😢🎉🙏🏼🕊️😇Nancy & famiky
This is nuts because I can’t believe it hasn’t been done. There are plenty original actors left from the original show to make this happen. Talk about mind blowing? There is sooo much more to the Little House story that needs to be told! If Netflix or Amazon Prime doesn’t pick up this story for a few episodes they’re fools! Michael Jr. needs to write and direct the new series. The world wants to know… what happened to Willie, Nellie, Mary, Laura, Almanzo, Caroline etc?
Why there’s no interview of Melissa Gilbert in this podcasts
They're not over yet. They go on all year long so there's a chance she could still be on.
It would be nice if Hollywood would get it about shows like Little House, Waltons, When Calls the Heart, and the redo of the B..B.C. s , All Creatures Great and Small!! These shows are totally awesome!!
Little house on the Prairie, Facts of Life and Jem were my top 3 favorite shows growing up
This was wonderful to see and enjoy from afar. Truly beautiful and moving. Thank you all for helping us go!
LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the videos and details etc on the Semi Valley 50th anniversary event!!!! Looking forward to the one here in Kentucky!!! Definitely want to hear more from Landon family!!!!❤❤❤ AND of course more Johnathan Gilbert!!!! 😍
I Still can't believe I got come to the 3 day reunion and festival. Awsome!
I grew up without a mother and father, always wanted Mr. Edwards as my father.
I saw the video someone took of Jonathan saying "I'm already home," but it was just a short clip. Does anyone know where we can see the whole Alison/Jonathan panel?
Michael Landon was an amazing human. I only wish I could have met him. He died a few months before I was born. The first lesson he taught me when I was about two was always to look in the toilet to make sure there were no snakes there. Back to Oakland episode of Highway to Heaven. I wish his grandkids had known Mike, because if they did not like him, it would not have been because he did not spoil them. He would known everything about all of them. I guess if ever meet one of them not to take it personally if they give me a funny look if I talk about grandpa Mike. They would be like what's he talking about.
Are the upcoming events in different cities going to have different themes/focuses or will just any actors available attend when they can?
wow that is was really good talk with the landon kids leslie landon matthews and michael landon jr i look foward to the next popcast and to hear move about the event that i was going to go to but due to money issues i couldnt cant wait to go to the walnut grove event in july also michael landon left a big lagacy behind that will go on forever and forever
Is there any official film footage of the three days for those of us who didn't get to attend?
I asked someone if they were going to filmed it but was told no but there are some videos on you tube of the cast doing panels. Lots of pictures posted in these groups of fans with the cast and the cast together.
Wish I could’ve been there❤
The theme song is my ring tone! 😂😂
It came out the year I was born so awesome 😎. I am glad it has endured this long and years to come. I was watching Legacy episode a good legacy to leave sad they don’t make shows like this anymore. Family values. When think legacy as a Christian it is the eternal legacy that is most important. He is in heaven
Absolutely love this! Thank you for sharing
It seems like Leslie and Michael Jr have managed to stop the aging process. :)
Thankyou so much to do this a I love how you did this a great memories.
20:48 ❤❤❤
Is there going to be a for lack of a better word, a DVD or video of the event that the rest of us can enjoy?
Can someone share with me what part will remain for tours? I didn’t attend. Is it the sets?
I was not at the event, so I really enjoyed this podcast
I still think there should be a sequel series about Laura beginning to write the books in the 1930's.
10:35 I am literally crying😂
I will drive up for the tour! Hylabee
Thanks so much!
Thankyou Casta crew
Thanks ❤
I love Allison!!😂
Where was Matthew Labyorteaux? Didn’t see him in any photos or vids from the reunion.
I loved how Michael did it a many loved to see what they glad you whatmichael did for all.
I cried a few times to do that a love that
The LIttle House the praire 50th Anniversary l Cast Best Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🎶🌻
What?
I like the character of Willie Oleson
Thank you❤
Even though this anniversary / reunion was EXTREMELY unorganized and dysfunctional, what saved this event was the fact that Jonathan Gilbert finally made an appearance! I was a VIP guest and he was the only Little House on the Prairie cast member that I elected to meet and get an autograph from. I’m a HUGE fan of the show and the characters, and I always will be, but I must say that I was very surprised about how SOME of the actors carried themselves - I’m not going to mention any names specifically!
I would, however, like to mention that I found several of the ‘event volunteers’ to be rude and even racists, and were just there to get a free peek without having to pay like the rest of us did! After standing in the autograph line for hours, which was a quarter mile to a half mile long at times, you finally got inside of the room with the celebrities. One of the volunteers in there was an obese, overweight woman that refused to let me get anywhere near Alison Arngrim’s table. She told me that Alison was getting ready to pack up and leave and that I needed to find another line to stand in. . . I then decided to get in Jonathan Gilbert’s line because of what I was informed about Alison. It took about 15 minutes or so to get a photo and autograph from Jonathan. After that, I happened to head back toward where Alison’s table was and noticed that there were still several people in her line still, all different people from when I had first gone there and was sent away by that rude female volunteer. (The only difference from myself to everyone else in line was that I was not caucasian-white, and this is the reason for my choice of using the term “racist” when describing the overweight and obese woman near Alison Arngrim’s table). I did confront the obese volunteer lady and she just kept on stuttering over her words trying to find a way to get herself off the hook. She couldn’t do it though, because she knew what she had done to me was wrong on her part!
Again, I’m a huge fan the series and of the characters and always will be, but because of the racism and favoritism issues that people can’t control within themselves, I will more than likely never attend an event like this in Simi Valley! I guarantee you that I probably know more about the series and characters than 95% of the people that were there, plus in paying for the VIP tickets month in advance, I’m going to have to say it was not worth it. (Things that were promised in purchasing the VIP tickets were also not provided as well as incorrect sizes of t-shirts and apparel, also ordered well in advanced, were not supplied)!
If this overweight person didn't say she was treating you different because you aren't a Caucasian, you are assuming something and making it all about race and possibly projecting your obsession with race onto someone else who may not have singles you out on purpose or may not have liked you for any other reason than your race. Perhaps she doesn't have the same contempt for certain physical characteristics as you do about overweight people.
Strong accusations.
I'm a middle-aged white woman and am very sorry that you had the experience that you did. No excuses, especially when you probably paid a ton of money, being that you were a VIP guest! I would think you'd be allowed to be one of the first in line to meet a cast member! Did you get a chance to see Ketty Lester? Hester Sue was always one of my favorite supporting cast members! She has aged so gracefully and is still as beautiful now as she was during her time on the show. A very talented woman, indeed.
❤❤ Alison ❤and Dean
Skip the troubled teen camps! Instead make it mandatory for troubled and convicted teens to watch a full season of Little House.
23:52 😭😭😭
❤
Does anyone know were Michael’s children old enough to have visited the set during filming?
Also, did any Ingalls/Wilder offspring attend?
Yes, they were on the show.
There are no living descendants of the real life Laura and Almanzo.
Charles Ingalls great, great grand niece was there. Laura Ingalls Gunn. She actually sewed and created some of the costumes that were there.
@@SarahManleySo Rose Wilder never had children? Sorry, I know I should just Google her; I am still at work! 😊
@@630sunshineOh, yes!! I saw her in a previous clip and wondered why her name was what it was. Thank you for clarifying!
@@crmay72 she had no living children. She had a stillborn baby boy, but no living descendants.
She keeps saying 30 years... but it was 41 years! 1983-2024
So true
