- Welcome to my channel! If you are new I am a knitting and crafting channel. I'm in love with Vintage and one of my favorite shows has always been Little House on the Prairie! I was lucky enough to go to their 50th anniversary celebration in Simi Valley, california! I was able to meet cast members and tour Big Sky Ranch in Simi Valley where the show was filmed. Of all the CZcams videos I've seen of the event, your's is by far the best!❤❤❤ You got pictures, autographs, video of Willie and Nellie on stage together after so many years apart. I love seeing all the autographs that you got and also you got a picture of "Adam" which no other CZcamsr has had that I've seen so far. Oh how i wish i would have known you before this event! I flew down Friday night and went to the reunion on Saturday only. Which i spent over 3 hours of that time just standing in line waiting to meet some of the cast. I did get to meet and take a picture with "Ma" "Nellie"and "Miss Beadle." did manage to get random shots of just about everyone else in the pavilion except for "Grace Edwards" she had left because she wasn't feeling well. But that was about the extent of my experience there. Wish i would've known more about what events were taking place sooner, but there seemed to be a lot of confusion with things. Anyway, it was amazing to meet those folks and i wish i could've met you too! Maybe at the next Little house get together! Btw Your painting was beautiful, and all those signatures, what a wonderful keep sake!❤
Hi! Thankyou for watching! We might have crossed paths! ☺ It was so busy on Saturday. Friday it was not as busy and I was able to get the lay of the land. I'm glad that you got a photo with "Ma"! She was hard to get. I got hers on saturday. We might have even been in the same line! Wasnt "Miss Beadle" so nice?! She was the first cast member I ever met and she is so kind and down to earth. I saw 1 panel but most of the time I was in lines. lol The lines were insane! I'm glad you got to come. 💞🌻

Your outfits were great. You’d have fit right in on the show. Wow, you got amazing autographs. Looks like everyone, or almost. Even Bonnie Bartlett’s and Linwood Boomer’s. Too bad it looks like Matthew Labyorteaux couldn’t attend. Were a lot people just “unhappy” because of the lines? It was nice you were honest with your emotions and keeping it real with your anxiety at the beginning of the video!
Awe! Thanks! Your so kind. Thankyou for watching. ☺ Bonnie Bartlett was not feeling well the first 2 days and was not there. I was about to leave the autograph haul the last day when I spotted her. She had no one in her line! I think I found her before others found out she was there. Yes! I was hoping Matthew labyorteaux would have made it! Bummer he didnt make it. Yes about the lines. Did you attend? The wait in the lines were at least 3 hours and some didnt even make it inside. I got there early which helped. Thankyou for watching!

I have watched many of the little house anniversary videos and I would like to say that yours is the best. I love the painting that you did, that will be something to treasure forever. I was there too. My heart is so happy. Good or bad. This was a once in a lifetime experience. I'm grateful for it all. ❤ Thank you for your lovely video. I dressed up too. I am so very proud of you. You spoke about your anxiety and traveling there all by yourself. You had a goal and you proceeded to show me the most beautiful video of this reunion i have seen. I am so happy after that day of misery it all paid off and you got to do the bus tour and see where it was actually filmed. You captured the hill perfectly. I had to stop and come back to see your video. You have a good eye, you're a good artist, videographer and editor. Your outfits were perfect and you were quickly transported back in time both 150 years and 50 (you weren't born yet) years. It doesn't matter if you began watching LHOTP 50 years ago or 1 year ago, it took you back to that time in your life that was a big part of your childhood. Then to see half-pint and all of the cast members older, some elderly and many are no longer with us. It's no wonder you became emotional on your way home. You were both physically and emotionally exhausted (plus your feet hurt!).. Great Job! :)

Thank you so much for posting this video. I wanted to attend the festival so badly, but I couldn’t due to a lack of transportation. I cried all weekend! Anyway, around 14 min, you mentioned there were alot of unhappy people. Why is that? I have been watching several videos of the event, trying to learn as much as I can, in the event that I can attend one in the future. I really like your painting and its wonderful you could get so many signatures. Thanks again!
Hi Heather! Thankyou for watching! I'm so sorry you were not able to attend. That makes me sad. I hope that you will be able to come to a future event this year. What I didnt show in my video was all the extremely long lines. A lot of people who got there later in the day were in lines that lasted at least 3 hours or more a line. There were 2 main lines. You had to decide which was more important. Waiting in line or watching a panel. A lot of people didnt get autographs and some didnt even get into the meet and greet hall even after waiting in line. Thankfully because I planned and got there early I was able to meet everyone I wanted to. This is the biggest event they have ever done. Thousands of people. I have a feeling the other ones will be a lot smaller and more manageable.

Learning from you that the festival was very crowded, and that participants had to choose between two lines is probably the most important piece of information I have learned from all the videos I watched. Thanks! I think you made the right decision. It is more important to get signatures and photos rather than watch the panels. By the way, if you type “50th Little House” or something like that into the search engine, other CZcams videos will appear. I have already seen a panel with Jonathon Gilbert and Alison Arngrim, a portion of the one with Karen Grassle, and one with Melissa Gilbert. COZI tv filmed several interviews that are on CZcams, as well. I have seen videos of Charlotte Stewart, Bonnie Bartlett, and Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush. I think these were all filmed at the festival, as well. 😊
P.S. Prior to the event, I heard Dean Butler say 20,000 people were coming to the festival. After the event, I heard either Bonnie Bartlett (or was it Charlotte Stewart?) say there were 30,000 attendees. No wonder people had to make a difficult choice. Perhaps they should have limited the number of tickets sold.
I will have to go watch the panels on youtube! It would be fun to watch them. I have a feeling all the other events wont be this huge and the lines will more manageable. Because it was mostly outdoors they sold more tickets.
Yes limiting the tickets would have been smart. This was the first time they have done an event this large. So many people! I had no idea there were so many fans. It was amazing to see.

I only visited the Dr Quinn western set back in 2010 and took some fun photos. If I had known there was a reunion I would have been there! I did get to meet Jane Seymour last year though. So much fun! ☺ How fun that you got to go to a reunion! Thats so cool!

How much money did you spend for all the cast photos and signatures?
It ranged. I got a couple free. But they mostly ranged from anywhere from 10 -50$ depending on the cast member.
Who did Michael Landon Jr play? I don't remember.
He is Michael Landon's son. He was only in little house once as an extra in season 3 episode 20 titled "Election"
Why were there unhappy people?
The unexpected long lines which lasted up to 4 hrs for some people. Some people were not able to get in to the meet and greets or even the panels due to wait times/capacity.
@jameycollins725 answer is spot on! The long lines and missing things was a big complaint.
Oh wow, that would've killed my back standing for so long . Can't even imagine if all 18,000 people who bought tickets actually showed up instead of the 12,000 who did. 😳
ya, I got blisters on my feet from all the standing. Friday was the best day to go. The lines weren't as bad.
Is there no cap on ticket sales at these events by the organizers? Do they ever reach a max limit where no more tickets will be sold?

I am that Lady and Actually, yes it is. It is most definitely Jonathan Gilbert. Are you telling me there was an imposter at the event? His real life sister Melissa Gilbert confirmed its him. There is a clip of him in my video at the festival and they are chanting "willy" for him. I met him. It is definitely him.
