Thank you for explaining this! I didn’t grow up here and I’ve been researching for so long and trying to work out the school system here for my daughter when she’s of school age.

Good video, don’t know why this popped up in my reccomended but I am a student who goes to a private school in London. I have to say your video is very accurate - I’m currently doing my GCSEs and to remain at my school I need to get 7 8s - or 7 A/A* for the old system, it is definitely high pressure

It's a personal choice if you want your child to be a healthy adult with emotional intelligence think carefully where you send your child. Some but not all can be emotionally damaging but you will get an academic able child but not emotionally able , remember emotional intelligence is not taught in these schools, please ensure this is given to your child,, trust me I am a therapist.. The success of your child depends on how emotionally secure they feel and this is not dependent upon going to an independent school.

Oh to understand how the UK works...lol We are based in Texas...with a possibility of moving to the UK in the next few months. I have a 15 year old son that has been homeschooled the last two years and I understand there is no homeschooling in the UK... He will have no records really of any current value to bring. He is high functioning Autistic and as such in Texas I can make his studies based on his needs. I am very worried about what we will face should we move to the UK. Your videos are helping me a little, however still very unsure of what we may face should we move.

Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for your comment. It can be an absolute mine field when it comes to the UK system because there are quite a few options and paths you can take. I would encourage you not to panic, you do have options! There is quite a large homeschooling community in the UK and lots of different options to integrate your son into both Special education needs schools and main stream schools with very good Special needs provision. It's all about finding that right fit for your families needs. My email address is in the description I'd be happy to discuss this with you further.

Hi Kothy, Thank you so much for your comment, I think they're both good for particular types of student, Westminster of course has the history and reputation and OIC is very small and still relatively new but I have seen good reviews. Hi Shobana, I think authenticity is the best way going forward when it comes to interviews. A good understanding of current affairs, science and technology and a good ability to discuss their hobbies and interests including books they've read is also very helpful. There are some really good Ted Talks and youtube channels like CGP Grey that I would recommend if you're looking for interesting subject content.
