- This Is one of the consistent issues with the transmission of this car and The Nissan specialist said they Don't have any code with a computer so how They are going to fix this?
On surface streets, everything is fine, on highway over 60 mph my RPM fluctuates and I feel a jerk
What is the cause?
Just had my transmission replaced by nissan under warranty of course and the new one still doesn't feel right. I had the same issues in this video. New transmission in only warrantied for 1 year or 12k miles. I'm done with nissan and I'm going to trade the car in before it happens again.

@@DrOcKa20 apparently this is how our cars are?? everyone has told me the car just “does that” it never happens on a regular highway going 60-70 but on this specific highway i take to work everyday, it does it. it started when it was in cruise control. now it does it even when it’s out of it. who knows at this point 🤷♀️
ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS HADTHIS PROBLEM GOOGLE. RESET TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. There is a guide on how to do it and it has worked well for me.
I had the same issue, I replaced the oil with nissan ns3 and it worked. I used a oil structure from Amazon and it was super easy.

Replace the TCM, if that doesn't fix it the you need to replace the TCM sensor on the transmission control valve. Presto!
I had the same problem, so I went to Nissan they told me that they were gonna replaced the transmission because I was still under warranty!! The warranty was good for 84k miles! I was at 80k and I qualified to get it replaced for free!!

Same issue which resulted in my vehicle to stay in limp mode. I have had my transmission and throttle body replace . Didn’t solve my issue . Nissan “recommend” to replace my EGI-F harness which totaled to be $4800 !! I refused !! Went to get a second opinion come to find out it is my pedal sensor “Accelerator pedal and sensor assembly”also known as “TPS” hope this helps . I have a 2015 Nissan Sentra SR automatic

Hey brother I have the same problem with mine it's the transmission shaft speed sensor it will cause your car to downshift and lose power and you will come to a complete stop although you will be able to rev the engine you can put it in park turn off the car then turn it back on put it in gear and it will work fine but it will be your transmission shaft speed sensor it is very common on CVT transmissions from Nissan

Nissan settled on a nation wide lawsuit regarding the transmission. The settlement was to extend the warranty to 84,000 miles. The problem I am now having is that my local Nissan can’t figure out what is wrong with my car but mine is doing the same exact thing as this video.
We’re you able to get it fixed. Mine is doing the same thing. Had the throttle body replaced & still. . I was told the transmission might need to be replaced. But I’m tired of dumping money into my car. I’ve had it only 2 yrs :/
@@Deesofetch it should still be under warranty, if u have less than 84k miles than u qualify to get that transmission replaced at no cost!
@@buratpitt not according to nissan lol. My car was under 10 years old, significantly under 84k miles and they pretended not to know what was wrong with it. I ended up trading it in to honda after it basically stopped on the expressway going 10 mi/hr despite all the gas i was giving it. Im over nissan.

U need to change the trans fluid every 30k miles..mine did the same.. changed the fluid and stopped doing that.. the cvt uses fluid to open and close the cvt pulley.. change ur fluid.... btw.. I stopped using nissans cvt oil. And replaced it with valvoline cvt ns3 fluid.. haven't had that problem anymore
I think it is the chain in the CVT Transmission that slips.
Therefore you cannot find the problem because it is not an electrical problem or sensor Problem.
The only way to solve the problem is to change the chain. And the cone surfaces on which the chain runs.
More friction at the contact point chain-cone would eliminate the problem.
Automatic transmissions have their advantages, especially in the comfort you do not need to shift gears and clutch, but unfortunately they also break down faster and are more expensive to repair.
Nissan should take care of this problem and also take back to 100,000 km.
its these crappy Jatco transmissions nissan uses total crap. I'm tired of this just get a Toyota or honda its worth the piece of mind and the extra money to know you won't have these issues.
Hondas have absolutely horrible auto transmissions lol like what...and yes the cheap economy car cvts have had some issues in the past...they are pretty well sorted out now and plenty of nissans have above 200k on cvts..the higher end model cvts for the v6s are much stronger but in general now in 2021 they are pretty reliable and tuned out
Having same issues. Started for my 2019 Sentra at about 39,000 miles. Been to Nissan Dealership twice and they cant find anything wrong with it. If this is a major issue I hope my transmission fails before my warranty is up at 60,000 miles.
They ready know what is the problem!😡 my car started at about 40,000 miles , I have 60,000 miles now and Nissan sent a letter extended he warranty at 85,000 miles , I will take the car this week , and they have to fix it!

I went to nissan 2 days ago. They couldn't find anything. And my car is 99k km and i have left 1km to out of warranty.

@@giselleesparza4439 No, unfortunately I did not. It seems to me like it’s more of a manufacturing issue and may not have a direct fix. All I know is that I would not invest time or money in a defective product.

In my opinion avoid cars with cvt transmission.... Apparently nissan says cvt transmission are the future but no... Cvts are junk...
Had a 01 Toyota Corolla... This was a far better car could do 110mph... On over 20000 miles on the motor... My new Sentra hardly goes 90mph
You are correct. CVT in nissan cars is horrible
I also have sentra ,and it has almost similar issue
Fuel filter. Spark plugs. MAF (mass air flow sensor). Intake manifold. Injection system. Any of these could be the problem

@@rob99rst check the battery for rust. Just gonna say Sentra mostly has a transmission problem which will cost $3000 for repair

Replace the transmission fluid and the filters also add lube guard cvt.

I have a 2015 Sentra & I have the exact same issue😡. I'm completely frustrated! It's super dangerous! I'm afraid to drive on the highway! I'm trading in my car asap! I will never ever buy another Nissan.
That problem is present in almost every Sentra till today. I replaced for a Rogue and I love it.

Try Clean Your MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR FIRST Or Replace it. Buy It from Direct Warehouse NISSAN (OEM).

Same man mine throws out no codes and doesnt go over 5 mph before losing complete power. Feels like the car loses power then regains power when it drops under 5 mph

Check y’all spark plugs if there’s any oil inside it’ll stop the combustion and lose power
How many in the comments section are having the same issue with their Nissan. I bought it under pressure and now going through so many problems and spending a lot with no peace of mind. I see a lot of Nissan cars on roads, I think they all went because it is cheaper than Honda and Toyota.

I Have An 08’ Nissan & It Started Losing Power & Jerking When I When To Do Diagnostics On A Clients Car. I Loosened The Ignition Coil & It Came Back To Life. Overheating OD Crazy Even With A New Thermostat & All.

Speed sensor or this is just eary signs on bad transmission but I just swapped my transmission and it still does it I think it the speed sensors It’s attached to drive train so if they didn’t see it maybe or a wheel sensor

My transmission is doing this wont speed up im going to a car shop to see if it just needs a transmission oil change but my nissan is at 120,000k miles and idk when the last owner change the transmission oil going to autozone to get the code then get the oil if it is that and take it to the shop to have it change

Just had this EXACT issue crop up on a super wet weather day after driving through some dense puddles.
Having already dealt with a failed CVT in this car, It immediately felt to me like it was electronic/Sensor related.
Throttle works fine in N, and builds RPMS without issue,
I believe this issue is do to the Throttle Position Motor located on the side of the throttle body, this is my only guess.
After extensive testing while wet, and then allowed to dry overnight. The issue has resolved.
The throttle body is not opening completely, (it doesn't need to in order to rev high in N, as there is no load).
Going to take apart all ECU, and IPDM connections, contact clean, dielectric grease and replace.
I recommend you do the same.
Try dropping it in low and driving it at a low speed for a couple miles maybe one mile and then go back into drive and shoot hookup

Your transmission is going bad sooner or later you’ll have to replace it. In my opinion sell the car ASAP I just had to replace my transmission costed me 3GS
Nissan recently extended the warranty for the cvt transmissions after a lawsuit because they know they’re crap. Just take it to the dealer, they replace it for free.

Sentra just suck bro I own one and I’m driving it carful af accelerate slow always let them build up speed and let the engine run 5 mins before driving so rpm can calm down these transmission suck mines pushes rpm at 2 all the time for barely that much speed it’s annoying so I don’t wanna make the engine struggle more so let it catch speed then add on to it

Is it normal for the car to not have a rev limiter? I tested it and it went brrrrrrrrr no limiter. Could it be because it’s a cvt? Idk just weird. I’ve always had a rev limiter in other cars.
I had a same issue .. but when I change the gear oil with 2 filters it's working fine.. need to change the filter it's must with nissan gear oil not ordinary oil.

Nissan know these transmission are complete junk but they do nothing about it... My car does is being doing it since new..... Last time I took it for maintenance.. salesman was trying to sell me a newer car... And I cut him off telling him nissan cars are junk... You can pass no one... Not even alot older cars... Even driving against the wind slows the damn car....

I have a 2014 Sentra and I had changed the transmission last year and it was completely rebuilt but recently I have a jerk at 2000 rpms and after that jerk, it drives fine.. once I stop, does it again at exactly 2000 Rpms and idk what it is

I had the same problem with my previous nissan 2016..the gear box started slipping on 41 k miles!!!
Why is this not a recall?? It’s BS because my girl got this car close to the 80k warranty ending. It just so happened right before it ended the car started doing this. She took the car before the warranty finished and they said nothing was wrong cus the computer didn’t pick it up. Now that the warranty is ended she’s fucked.

It will fail completely within weeks
Warranty will put in a new one
jeep is same way now they merged few years ago ,take it in can't seem to replicate the problem, is just them not wanting to admit there vehicles are crap, oh ya they have all this cool stuff so you use social media, but they forget about reliability, my 2014 tundra has 148,000 ,been off road an ive only had to change things I actually broke , toyota may not be top of line with tech ,but when your stuck with a huge bill ,that tech goes right out the window.

I did finally trade it for a Nissan Rogue l8ke 2 months after the video... they never got into the issue because they couldn't replicate by their "specialized technicians"

Was in 2 different nissan official branches and the 2nd one try doing a few thing and never was solved. This problem was fixed replacing the car.
I replaced my transmission fluid every 30k miles and i still had this problem and it cant go over 20mph now

Do not buy one of these CARS!! They are the worst I have rented these at least 4 times they are terrible. I'm afraid of driving them. The rpms fluctuate. The car struggles just to try and get on the freeway. You no what it even reaches 5thoussnd RPMS trying to get light to light when a y other car wouldn't go over 3thoussnd.
