  • When Max drove out from Kansas to see our camps for himself, he knew immediately that he had to have one. As we sat together and talked color options and layouts Max mention that he wanted this to be the nicest camp that we had ever produced. We assure him it would be. We treat each camp as if we were building it as our own personal camp which translates to each camp rolling out of our shop being the best camp produced up to that date.
    With everything lined out on paper we went to work to build his dream camp. Some of the key things Max wanted aside from good looks was the ability to be off-grid for long long periods of time. To accomplish this we added a giant bank of batteries with enough solar to keep them topped off. We finished the electrical system off with a 3000watt pure sine inverter allowing him the luxury of running his microwave and George Forman grill while off-grid. He then wanted to be able to use his camp in the colder months with no issues of freezing. We have several options when it comes to bathrooms and water storage. Max chose to go with boxed, insulated, and heated tanks. How we do this is by boxing in our holding tanks with a insulated tank cover that then has heat ducted into it from our forced air furnace. We do not stop there though, we also add electric heating element to the tank and plumbing pipes. These elements are thermostat control keeping the tanks above freezing.
    The last thing that was probably his biggest thing was having a lower bed making it easier for him to get in and out. This didn’t change much for us as we have built camps like this before. What was excited about this for us was working with Max to really fine tune his camp to exactly what he wanted. Each customer that walks in our doors or calls has a vision already of their dream trailer and it’s up to us to make it into reality. Anyways we hope you enjoy taking a brief little tour of this beautiful camp.

    these are very nice. I like the more rustic original sheep camp design. I am looking to buy one soon and live full-time.

      The traditional layout is by far our most popular layout. We are looking forward to getting you set up with a camp that best fits what you will be doing.

    What would be the cost on one like this?

    I would love one that would have entertainment system in the space next to the wood stove (where the bench couch is), storage drawers underneath then recliners across from it.

    Can you tell me how much? Can the couch be made into a foldable twin bed? Full size bed for main bed? Other than that perfect!

    Are these insulated better than a normal camper?

    • @peakmountaincamps
      @peakmountaincamps  Před 7 měsíci

      No comparison between these and any other trailer. These would be more comparable to a home insulation value.

    I talked to you a few months back and you told me about this trailer being built. I'm short and getting up at night the high bed wouldn't work for me. This is exactly what I had in mind and I love to cook and fish. Grill outside to cook fish perfect. plenty of counter space perfect. One question what size truck towing do I need to look for this trailer.

      We would recommend at least a 3/4 ton pickup to pull this size of camp. We could do this layout in a shorter camp but I would still say a 3/4 ton truck would be needed. (As a side note) if you are shopping for trucks we may be able to help save you some money in that area as well.

    Interior height anyone know?

    • @peakmountaincamps
      @peakmountaincamps  Před rokem

      Interior height is dependent on the width of the camp. The s series will be shorter than what the x series camp would be.
